Kanye West, what does he REALLY believe?

Kanye West – Christian church

There has been a huge interest by everyone regarding Kanye West conversion to Christianity. Many are in awe of Kanye West and are throwing their hands in the air rapping ‘Hallelujah’, others are skeptical and right they should be.

This article is going to expose the outright onslaught of the One World Religion (Babylon) on what’s left of the organised Christian church in these last days. Jesus Christ is now truly calling out His sheep from within this cesspool:

Revelation 18:4 “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

Let’s start at the beginning of Kanye West’s ‘encounter’ with Christianity.

West premiered the film last night in an event at The Forum in Los Angeles. In recapping the event, The Los Angeles Times wrote “to witness Sunday Service (even via social media) is to encounter a musician clearly moved by both the message and the medium of gospel” and “the reason to see it is in fact to hear it – to lose yourself in the astonishing group singing of West’s choir.” [Emphasis added]

Emotions and music is what drives the services and makes the congregations hearts warm and fuzzy with all sorts of emotions..

“Kanye started this, I think, just to heal himself and it was a really personal thing … and it was just friends and family. And he has had an amazing evolution of being Born-Again and being saved by Christ.” [Emphasis added]

Kim Kardashian Westhttps://www.breakingchristiannews.com/articles/display_art.html?ID=28870

No praying, no sermon, no word, just music!

In a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kim explained that Sunday Service is “more of just a healing experience” than a religious one. “There’s no praying, there’s no sermon, no word, just music, and just a feeling — and it’s Christian,” she explained. So, it’s like a high-vibe spiritual Christian concert that’s welcoming of celebrities and other musicians, such as Katy Perry and Busy Philipps. [Emphasis added]

Radical obedience, NO REPENTANCE OF SIN

During one song, where singers declared that “nothing is too hard for God,” Kanye stopped and prayed to God, imploring the congregation, “all you ask is for radical obedience to You.” [Emphasis added]

Is that true? Is that all God asks? Actually God asks for you to repent of your sin. See article: Repentance: Godly vs Worldly

Encounters

Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian says his Sunday service is a real expression of his faith, because it was created after he had a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.

“It started off as something that was really healing for him and it was really small and personal, and it grew and grew, and he really has been saved by Christ and it’s like (he’s) born again, and dedicates his whole life to the church,” she said. [Emphasis added]

We do not “encounter Christ”, no where in scripture is there a single mention of “encountering Christ” or having an “encounter with Christ”. What we do know from the movie “E.T.” and that other movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” is that there are encounters with demons.

“Like” being born again is not being born again, and dedicating one’s life to the church is not the litmus test to prove you are a genuinely saved Christian. Catholic Priests dedicate their entire lives to the Roman Catholic church. Mormons dedicate their lives to the Mormon Church. Seventh Day Adventists dedicate their entire lives to their church, the list is endless.

Brad Pitt Praises Kanye West’s Sunday Services

Kanye’s worship-filled event. Pitt also recently discussed his Christian upbringing and thoughts about God and religion during an interview with GQ.

“Oh, man, I’ve gone through everything. Like, I cling to religion. I grew up with Christianity. Always questioned it, but it worked at times. And then when I got on my own, I completely left it and I called myself agnostic. Tried a few spiritual things but didn’t feel right,” Pitt said.

“Then I called myself an atheist for a while, just kind of being rebellious. I wasn’t really. But I kinda labeled myself that for a while. It felt punk rock enough. And then I found myself coming back around to just belief in – I hate to use the word spirituality, but just a belief in that we’re all connected,” he told GQ.

During an interview in 2017, Pitt told Relevant Magazine that he grew up “First Baptist, which is the cleaner, stricter, by-the-book Christianity.”

While in high school, Pitt had an encounter with people speaking in tongues and raising their hands during worship. “I know they believe it. I know they’re releasing something,” Pitt said. [Emphasis added]

Brad Pitt is a Luciferian. He holds firmly to the idea that we are all connected to the ‘Universe’ [aka Light bearer aka Lucifer] but at the same time manages to enjoy Kanye West’s Christian services. This is just ridiculous. Jesus said “Luke 21:17 “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake”

In a recent video clip Kanye West then goes on to explain: “I want to let you know that I am not here for your entertainment this afternoon. We are here to spread the gospel.” West continues: “Excuse me if I mispronounce anything, I am a recent convert. It means I recently got saved within this year.”

https://www.theepochtimes.com/kanye-west-confirms-he-has-converted-to-christianity-ahead-of-new-album-release_3115728.html

Millions of people are converted to the ‘system of Christianity’. Not many truly repent of their sinful ways and truly born again.

John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Kanye West believes in the healing powers of music.

A source told People that Kanye has talked about starting his own church, but “it wouldn’t be the traditional, three-hymns-and-a-sermon thing.” Kanye’s plan would be more of a “a way to point people to Jesus through the arts and through a community of people who love and care for each other,” the source said. [DTW note: The bible says: Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Kanye apparently spends a lot of time praying and studying his faith, the source said. He understands brokenness and the need for healing, probably more than most people, the source told People. “He believes in the healing powers of music, but also believes that God can step in and heal people’s brokenness and their issues.” [Emphasis added]

https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2019/04/228821/kanye-west-sunday-service-religion-christian-church

The healing powers of music! Really? Jesus says otherwise: Mark 2:17 “When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance”

Just Reconnecting, No Repenting

Kanye-West-and-Change-Reconnect-to-faith

Rapper, fashion mogul and father of four, Kanye West credits fellow rapper Chance the Rapper for helping him “reconnect” with his faith.

At the close of 2018, West tweeted about his friendship. West said, “I need to speak about how Chance demanding that we record in Chicago reconnected me with my roots and also my faith in Jesus Christ”

Chance the Rapper recently released a song about the importance of godly marriage. Many fans of West’s also speculate that his forthcoming album will feature a slew of songs that center around biblical themes.

In previous albums, West’s songs “Jesus Walks” and “Ultralight Beam” feature biblical nuggets.

Forbes notes, “Faith was important for Kanye since the beginning, as he looked to God for guidance early in his career, but he was aware that faith wasn’t supposed to sell and that being so religious in mainstream music was a risk. So, he carved out a place for it.”

In 2018, West released his album Kids See Ghosts (KSG) with rapper Kid Cudi, which also conveyed heavy themes of faith. Forbes went on to say, “KSG sees him, and Kid Cudi realize that if they’re to truly be ‘reborn’ and live the life they want, one where they’re ‘superb and supreme creatures of creation,’ then they must rely on God.”

In addition to all career in the media, West is also a fashion designer of “Yeezy,” named in tribute to his album “Yeezus.” The album featured biblical themes but also faced backlash for sacrilegious elements. [Emphasis added]

https://www.movieguide.org/news-articles/kanye-west-credits-chance-the-rapper-for-helping-him-reconnect-with-jesus.html

Once again, no mention of repentance of sin. Secondly, what does this mean: “one where they’re ‘superb and supreme creatures of creation” mean?

There is no testimony anywhere of how Kanye West was born again, nothing, nada. Just “re-connections, encounters, relying on God and being radically saved etc”. Kanye West has not changed the name of his fashion label that blasphemes the name of Jesus Christ – maybe he will soon, maybe he won’t.

“Know Thyself” oh “Superb and supreme creature of creation

Marcus Garvey said the following:

Praying hands – know thyself
Know Thyself

May I say something to you to give you a true knowledge of yourself and life, so that the same glory and success obtained by other men who understand themselves may be yours? Man in the full knowledge of himself is a superb and supreme creature of creation. When man becomes possessor of the knowledge of himself, he becomes master of his environment, the captain of his own ship, the director of his own destiny, the accomplisher of his own ends. Man should understand himself because man is full of knowledge and this knowledge is a gift of God. When God created man, he deprived him of nothing. He was given the faculty of understanding all things around him. And this faculty for understanding has not been taken away from him. None of his senses have been taken away from him. So there is no excuse for the black man to be lacking the knowledge that man has used to beautify the world and produce all that he needs for his happiness and civilization.  [Emphasis added]

Alice Bailey (Luciferian) said this regarding “Know thyself”

Alice Bailey
Alice Bailey

Know thyself, for in thyself is to be found all that there is to be known,” is still the rule for the wise student. If each one of us would scientifically regard ourselves as centres of force, holding the matter of our bodies within our radius of control, and thus working through and in them, we should have a hypothesis whereby the entire cosmic scheme could be interpreted.” [Emphasis added]

― Alice A. Bailey, The Consciousness of the Atom

But who is Marcus Garvey?

Black Christianity

Garvey sought to create a black religion,[358] with Cronon suggesting that Garvey promoted “racist ideas about religion”.[370] Garvey emphasised the idea of black people worshipping a God who was also depicted as black.[368] In doing so, he did not make use of pre-existing forms of black-dominant religion. Garvey had little experience with these, having attended a white-run Wesleyan congregation as a child and later converting to Roman Catholicism.[371] Reflecting his own Catholicism, he wanted this black-centric Christianity to be as close to Roman Catholicism as possible.[368]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Garvey

Marcus Garvey was also a freemason?

Marcus-Garvey-Freemason
Garvey wore a military-shaped helmet, with
large flowing white feather, closely resembling the uniform hat worn by
Masons on special parade occasions

The essential fraternal character of the UNIA did not go unnoticed.
In 1922, in his perceptive analysis of Garvey and the UNIA, Hodge Kirnon
stated that “there is no indication that Garvey meant it [the UNIA] to
be anything more than a fraternal order.” Harry Albro Williamson, the
leading bibliophile of black Masonry, later wrote an important article
on Prince Hall Masonry for the Negro World (3 June 1922). Amy
Jacques Garvey later recalled that Garvey became a Mason “through the
influence of John E. Bruce and Dr. [F. W.] Ellegor [but] he did not
attend Masonic meetings, he was always too busy, so the connection
dropped.” Moreover, she disclosed that UNIA chapters operated quite
freely within the ranks of black fraternities.
During the final four years of his life, Garvey turned even more
emphatically toward the Masonic ideal based on secret knowledge.

Icon image comes from an artifact in the Coptic Museum in Cairo, Egypt.

You will note from the image above to the right of Kanye West’s ‘Jesus is King’ clothing range that the image of Jesus (taken from the Coptic Christian Museum) is of a very dark man, possibly black, certainly not Jewish. The halo on the head of this icon image is a representation of the Sun God.

The Coptic church in Egypt is classified as Protestant, however this is utterly false. The Coptic Orthodox church in Egypt might have started off as Christian, but soon changed as doctrines of Mystery Babylon were introduced and it flourished. See: Coptic monasticism

The Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria is an Oriental Orthodox Christian church based in Egypt, Africa and the Middle East. The head of the Church and the See of Alexandria is the Patriarch of Alexandria on the Holy See of Saint Mark, who also carries the title of Coptic Pope.

Who is one of Kanye West’s most popular pastors?

Pastor-Adam-Tyson
Pastor Adam Tyson

Non-Christians generally responded positively to Sunday Service. Yet when West started promoting his new “Christian” album and merchandise, many speculated that West’s newfound Christianity was just a gimmick to make money.

Pastor Adam Tyson
But recently, West’s Sunday Services have added preaching and a new voice—Adam Tyson, pastor of Placerita Bible Church in Newhall, California. Tyson first made an appearance at West’s sold-out show in Detroit on September 27. And now it seems the young graduate of The Master’s Seminary is becoming a regular feature, and this past Saturday preached to 7,000 people at a Sunday Service in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Tyson says West’s conversion is real. And on Friday, Billy Hallowell released a fascinating interview with Tyson on his PUREFLIX Podcast. In it, Tyson talks about how he met West, West’s conversion, and how God is using Sunday Service to reach the lost. It’s a great listen:

“And he’s like, ‘Hey, man, I told you I’ve been radically saved. I believe that message, and I want to get that message out to the world.’”

Kanye West

Let’s take a look into who Pastor Adam Tyson is and what he and his church, Placerita Bible Church believes, because Kanye West believe everything Pastor Adam Tyson believes.

And there we have it, Pastor Adam Tyson and Placerita Bible Church are Calvinists. Calvinists version of salvation is that God elect some to be saved before the foundation of the world, and the rest He dooms to hell for His pleasure. Why you ask? Because according to Calvinists God is soooooo sovereign He can do these things and we must just accept the Calvinist view of soteriology as being correct. However the bible tells us that this view goes against God’s very nature.

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

Has the doctrine of Calvinism solidified the idea in Kanye West’s mind that he is one of God’s Elect. Kanye always called himself ‘Yeezus’, because he believes himself to be Christ, but now, what does he really believe? Does he now believe he is Elect by God to be a god?

The Elijah List (NAR Christian website for all things Occult) had this to say:

Kanye West, Stadiums Filled – 3rd Great Awakening Has Begun

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve_Shultz2_2016Aug_150px
Steve Shultz

You don’t have to be a prophet, a historian, or a scientist to know that it is not only revival that is breaking out in your state and country – no, it is the next GREAT AWAKENING!

When some of the hardest in society who WERE against the Gospel come running to Christ, that my friends is AWAKENING!

https://elijahlist.com/words/display_word.html?ID=22767

We are living in a time of apostasy, there is NO revival that is going to take place.

Luke 18:8 “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

We are not saying that Kanye West is not savable. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

But…

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Alice Bailey had this to say about the ‘New Christianity’ which will take over the world:

“It is time that the church woke up to its true mission, which is to materialize the kingdom of God on earth, today, here and now . . . People are no longer interested in a possible heavenly state or a probable hell. They need to learn that the kingdom is here, and must express itself on earth … The way into that kingdom is the way that Christ trod. It involves the sacrifice of the personal self for the good of the world, and the service of humanity . . . (Emphasis added).

“The kingdom and the service!’

“We must grasp this; we must realize that we shall find release only in the service of the kingdom. We have been held too long by the dogmas of the past, and there is today a natural revolt against the idea of individual salvation through the blood sacrifice of Christ.‘ It is essential that today we face the problem of the relation of Christ to the modern world, and dare to see the truth, without any theological bias . . . It is quite possible that Christ is far more inclusive than we have been led to believe’ We have preached a God of love and have spread a doctrine of hate. We have taught that Christ died to save the world and have endeavoured to show that only believers could be saved . . . But Christ founded a kingdom on earth, wherein all God’s children would have equal opportunity of expressing themselves as sons of the Father. This, many Christians find impossible to accept . . .” Individual salvation is surely selfish in its interest and its origin. We must serve in order to be saved, and only can we serve intelligently if we believe in the divinity of all men and also in Christ’s outstanding service to the race. The kingdom is a kingdom of servers, for every saved soul must without compromise join the ranks of those who ceaselessly serve their fellow men.

  1. Great article, Deborah. Antichrist (meaning: feigning to be Christ in order to go against Him) can only reveal himself when the true born-again Christians had been raptured before the seven-year tribulation, and the world globally accepts a false Christianity, based on –
    1) no sound doctrine
    2) feelings and experiences aka strange, weird and crazy encounters with god (the “god” of this world and his demons).

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2 Timothy 3:5)

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)

  2. Hi Tom

Absolutely, right now millions of those with an antichrist spirit are making way for that The Man of Lawlessness (Antichrist) to appear…

Deborah, I really appreciate Discerning the World! I simultaneously got an email from you and Discerning the End Times about this guy whose music I hate even before I have to read anything. I really find Pop, Rock, etc. – you name it – abhorrent… Name of article: The Kanye West Deception https://discerningtheendtimes.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-kanye-west-deception.html

  4. Thanks Leon!!

I did a quick scan of the article and it reminded me of something I wanted to add to my Kanye West article but totally forgot. I’ll take a listen to the PODCAST later, maybe tomorrow, I’m utterly exhausted right now – feel as flat as a pancake!

Okie dokie, I’ve added it, near the bottom of the article regarding The Elijah List and Steve Shultz.

  5. Also here is an article by Shawn Bolz (NAR Apostle) who attended Kanye West’s concert:

“Shawn Bolz’ Eye-witness Account of Kanye’s ‘Jesus Is King’ Release Concert in L.A.”
    Shawn Bolz-Opinion, Breaking Christian News

“Witnessing firsthand that Kanye really does love Jesus was a phenomenon. It wasn’t just words, it was real to him. Knowing that he is in an industry that literally is adversarial to Christianity in many ways made us really want to pray for him even more. He is at the beginning of his journey and it can go many ways depending on who he gives access to. He needs spiritual mentors and fathers, but thank God some of the team we met who are around him are great spiritual voices…” -Shawn Bolz

Kanye West still wants to run for president…hmmm.

  6. blank Mike Evans says:

Very perceptive article. The comment by the representative from the Elijah List is very telling. The One World Church is swiftly coming together to welcome the Man of Sin, who apostate Israel will likewise embrace.
Did you hear Kanye state at Osteen’s “church” that he is the greatest entertainer in the world (and of all time?) and that God is using his cockiness to speak to the world? What humility! And fellow multi-millionaire Joel just kept nodding in worshipful agreement.
I believe Kanye wants to change his name to “Christian Billionaire Genius West”.
It all sounds like a Mel Brooks version of ELMER GANTRY…..

  7. Hi Mike. Yep. Kanye West is undoubtedly a pawn in the hands of the globalists and their agenda for a New World Order. The spirit of Antichrist is working overtime in all the spheres of life – religion, politics, entertainment, business etc. The seven mountain conquering NAR bunch of false teachers are gaining momentum.

Oh dear! TWO people (self proclaimed Keepers of the Truth) who talk about keeping the unity of faith in a bond of peace, but then go about dissing every ministry around the world – acting as if YOU alone know & understand all truth…
We have the HOLY SPIRIT and He will lead us into all truth – we certainly DON’T need Deborah and Tom!
All of these articles are full of cynicism, grudge and purport to be the REAL truth, when, in truth, there are millions of people walking out their faith on this earth who would question YOUR motives and drive to constantly look for the devil in every bush!

Please tell me, what makes you two the “Great Discerners” and everybody else wrong? You sound similar to the Berean organisation who, because the do not acknowledge the power and function of the Holy Spirit in this day and age, think that THEY are the great defenders against deception. I trust the Holy Spirit within me to reveal to me if & when things are not kosher – definitely not Deborah and Tom!
    Who are you, anyway?

  9. blank Kevin Potter says:

Ah! So you’re going to ‘moderate’ my comments are you? Is this to ensure that only those who agree with you get their comments published?

  10. Kevin Potter. If you were truly being led by the Holy Spirit, you would have known the Truth and also able to discern between truth and error. But since you don’t know, let me quote to you the following.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. (John 10:1-5)

You seem to know a lot of strange voices.

These clowns are hilarious, Kanye, Pitt, Osteen, Kim, whoever, but the greatest threat, the most serious threat is Tyson the Calvinist and his demonic Calvinist rubbish. Look around you, in your country S Africa, and see the destruction that Calvinism has brought about and that is still being believed as the “truth.” It has destroyed families, beaten to pulp wives, beaten to pulp children, tried to run the country (remember the joke when S Africans were not allowed to do anything on a Sunday?); it covers up sexual molestation, it sanctions wife-beating, etc. It is evil. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s pure evil.

  13. blank Lila says:

Deborah, I agree with the cautious sentiment but also call for us to judge him based not just on who he associates with but also on his actions and his own words. Repentance is something very hard to tell people to do. But he has called against abortion and only God knows his heart. Why don’t we pray for Kanye to see the truth more and more and for God’s spirit to release him from lies around him?

No one has perfect theology and even I had to correct myself coming out of the occult and new age in how I thought I was experiencing God (now realizing those were opening me up to false worship and false prophets).

We can act as Paul did in writing to the Corinthians or we can willfully indulge in the spirit of condemnation towards others who profess Christ.

I write with all love toward you and all the saints. Your site has been incredibly profitable to my walk with God.

May God be with us all and grace, mercy, and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ always.

  14. Dear Lila

Thank you for judging me for righteously judging Kanye West. 🙂

The bible tells us to judge righteously, please read: https://www.discerningtheworld.com/2010/09/11/christians-judge-righteously/

You said: “But he has called against abortion and only God knows his heart.”

The Roman Catholic church stands against abortion as well, is the Pope Christian? Or are Catholics now Christian because they oppose abortion?

Am I indulging in the spirit of condemnation when I oppose the Pope who ‘professes’ Christ?

You said “No one has perfect theology and even I had to correct myself coming out of the occult and new age in how I thought I was experiencing God (now realizing those were opening me up to false worship and false prophets).”

No one is perfect, but the bible is clear, (John 10:27) “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”
When a true Christian hears the gospel TRUTH just as you did, the Holy Spirit is quick to convict us of false teaching and our eyes are opened to the gospel and we change our ways. God is not going to let us wallow in false teaching and doctrines of demons that will destroy us.

Tom just reminded me that is was Peter who at one stage started going back to the law, and the Apostle Paul had to rebuke him. Peter was quickly convicted by the Holy Spirit and very quickly stopped what he was doing.

Did Paul indulge in the spirit of condemnation when he said?

    Gal 2:11-14 (KJV)
11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. 12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. 13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. 14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

I am not condemning Kanye West. Righteously judging someone is not condemning them. No one has that power, only God has on Judgement Day. I pray for everyone to be truly born again, Kanye West included. I don’t know what makes you think I don’t.

Remember you judged those false prophet’s teachings you were following at one stage to realise that you were in error.

To this day Kanye West is carrying on doing exactly the same thing. I watched a video just the other day of his ‘services’ and I was horrified, it’s blasphemy. He is worshiping another Christ.

  15. Hi Deborah. I fully agree. Kanye West is misleading thousands if not millions astray with his pop Christianity and most Christians, like Lila, can’t see it.

  16. blank Lila says:

Hi Deborah, and Tom, thank you for such a reasoned and biblical response. I have to admit that I haven’t watched too many of the worship services that Kanye West performs except for one at the Vous church and another at Joel Osteen’s
church. I get that he’s doing some things wrong right now but I’m heartened that he’s still seeking after Christ. Your pope analogy is completely fair game, as is the Paul and Peter story. After I left this comment, I read another article on Kanye on living waters and felt that he has a sincere heart to know God. But yes. He follows a false Calvinism and false doctrine. Let’s continue to pray that God will surround him with the right, born again men of God and His Spirit of truth will be with each one of us to the end of time. I will continue reading your site and learning from it and to judge righteously.

God bless you and keep you and thank you for calling me out on my own lax standards in doctrine. Let’s love God and continue to keep His commandments to us.

By the way, would you be open to discussing about Living Stream Ministries / Witness Lee as well? Recently I came into contact with a group of these people who call themselves the local church movement in my neighborhood as I was walking and praying for God to send Christians into my life (yes, it’s lonely 🙂 ) They are very wholesome people and I have spent time praying with them and was gratified to share with them in Christian fellowship. It might not be an area of interest as it is a very small group.

They seem to believe in some things that are not quite orthodox and if you had a few words of righteous assessment, I would be quite glad to hear it and to be edified by your teaching. I would like to be an effective messenger of truth to them if this is what I am being called to do as well. Already I have tried to apprise one of them that they are wrongly interpreting the end time prophecy of Matthew 24/25 which they seem to have taken to heart, but am tempted to not debate and strife over this in the sake of Christian love, since there are some verses in Paul’s letters that tell us not to debate or argue.

This feels like it’s not a sufficiently important item to destroy a relationship over. But it does nag at me.

Please let me know your thoughts and I pray the God of peace be with you, that He will crush Satan under our feet shortly.

  17. Dear Lila

Thank you for your comment. Please read this article, it will help you come to terms with your lonlines: https://www.discerningtheworld.com/2015/05/25/a-very-lonely-path/

I will look into that group for you.

You said “but am tempted to not debate and strife over this in the sake of Christian love, since there are some verses in Paul’s letters that tell us not to debate or argue.”

Preaching the gospel with people will lead into debates, and unfortunately some times heated debates comes with the territory. But one needs to know when to stop, and wipe the dust off of your feet and move on.

Preaching the Word of God is love, not saying anything and leaving someone to never know the truth is unloving. What they do with that truth after you have told them is not your problem anyone. The Holy Spirit will convict them.

Debates within the bible spoken of here for instance falls within the context of what an unrighteous person would do:

    Rom 1:29 (KJV)
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

    G2054 ἔρις eris (e’-ris) n.
    1. strife.
    2. (by implication) wrangling.
    [of uncertain affinity]
    KJV: contention, debate, strife, variance

Debating and deliberately causing strife are two different things.

Deborah, I am touched and thankful to have found this site. Your article on loneliness is absolutely accurate. I had a feeling with that group that it was more about the God of the fellowship fraternity than the God of the Holy Bible, though they have accepted me as a sister without demanding I go to any of their group activities. I will wait for your insight on this.

Proverbs 9:8 and Proverbs 27:5 come to mind.

Proverbs 9:8–9 (KJV 1900): Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee:
Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser:
Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

Proverbs 27:5 (KJV 1900): Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Thank you so much again for instructing a babe in the Word and helping me see through deception. Of course we give thanks to the Spirit for doing the real work in all of us too 😀

I feel I have some issues with confronting truth in my relationships. I have already thrown out one or two friendships over this. Also in letting go of some worldly philosophy books (you or Tom has mentioned in another article to get rid of everything but the Bible for deliverance!). I know the price to pay for following Jesus is absolute and we cannot dilute it with even 1% lie. I’m hopeful we can stay in touch during our walk in the Spirit.

  19. Dear Lila

You said “I know the price to pay for following Jesus is absolute.”

There is no price to pay Lila, He paid the price for you. You are born again, He lives in you an you in Him. You are Sealed by the Holy Spirit, you can’t lose your salvation. Listen to the Holy Spirit and read the Word of God and you will grow. We all have our ups and downs. We are still sinners, and we will sin. But the Holy Spirit will convict us of our sin, and we will come before Jesus Christ and repent and change our ways. We do not change our ways through our own power, but through the power of Jesus Christ who lives in us. And this is how God keeps us in His hands never to be plucked out. :hi5:

  20. blank Lila says:

Thank you Deborah. You are right. I did not see it that way at first. I have been counting the cost of giving up the world, but forsaking sin by the power of the Holy Spirit is worth so much more than any of that. May the Lord bless you and keep you and continue to grant you wisdom, discernment, peace, healing, sanctify us and glorify us, perfect us in His sight :friends: .

Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

  21. blank Trinita says:

So grateful for this ministry. Glad to see a faithful ministry who will lovingly warn the body of Christ concerning wolves who creep in and seek to lead the flock astray. It is shocking to see the number of professing believers who are sadly in support of such a wolves as Kanye West, as it is birthed from the spirit of antichrist. Yet, my heart rejoices to see a ministry such as this who will lovingly proclaim the error that he is cleverly birthing through his “so called” ministry and music. I pray that the Lord will have mercy on his soul, and the Holy Spirit shine the light on truth on his heart, leading to repentance and salvation of his soul. I also pray that the Lord will bless many blind followers to be exposed to the truth presented here, that they may turn away from such error, and towards the true saving gospel only found in Jesus Christ! God bless and keep you always as you continue to fight the good fight of faith.

  22. blank Lila says:

    Deborah,

Thank you for your article again. I continued to pray for Kanye and found this topical article, an interview transcript and it might be very helpful in understanding his gospel message much more if you want to update your article some time (or just attaching for readers in the comments…)

    https://www.happyscribe.com/public/the-joe-rogan-experience/1554-kanye-west

He seems to be genuine in wanting Jesus and submitting to God but perhaps a little confused with Gnosticism or mysticism at some points and even going far as to say he “self medicates” with meditation and exercise. Emphasis on healing, even world healing, which is important of course with the Spirit, but I barely recall a word on repentance and Satan’s lies in the world.

I thank you and praise the Lord for your gift of discernment!

Pray we continue to grow in knowledge and charity toward each other and the entire Body. Thank you again and praise God always.

  23. Dear Lila

You can’t listen to an unbeliever’s (Joe Regan) account of what a real Christian is supposed to look like and then actually take that as being some kind of ‘actual truth’.

Nope, Kanye is not one bit genuine in seeking Jesus Christ of the bible and he is in no way “submitting to God”. He is 100% genuine in seeking the antichrist he experiences through music.

    See this latest article here:

Kanye West to launch a gospel university to train singers
    https://www.christianpost.com/news/kanye-west-to-launch-a-gospel-university-to-train-singers.html

He says “Picture 100,000 people in unison and that feeling and what that would do for our spirits, our souls. It’s healing,

Music is his god, not Jesus Christ the Son of God. He says that music heals. He finds his ‘Jesus’ in music. He confuses people by claiming he believes in Jesus, but it’s not the Jesus of the bible.

You said “perhaps a little confused with Gnosticism or mysticism at some points”

He is not a little bit confused. He was a full blown occultist before his ‘fake’ conversion to deliberately fool the world. He still is a full blown occultist/Kabbalist.

  24. blank Lila says:

Thank you very much Deborah for the sobering and insightful analysis. Yes, I understand why I felt off when I was listening to his album at times. It’s the experience of music not God himself that moves. He sings about Jesus giving us wealth…

Playing devil’s advocate, do you have thoughts on Bach who wrote SDG (only for the glory of God)?

was reading Philippians this morning and this verse stood out:

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
    Philippians 1:18

    Can we still rejoice?!?

God bless you and thank you for your discernment and impartation of knowledge and thoughts.

  25. Hi Lila. How do you interpret Philippians 1:18? Would you mind telling us? Beware of playing devil’s advocate.

  26. blank Lila says:

Thanks for the question Tom. I really don’t know how I would, hence I’m asking. I’m not sure I understand around that verse so hoping to get guidance from you.

I’m in two minds about this. When I first got saved knowing Kanye professed to be a Christian too gave me some encouragement though of course we grow in discernment and wisdom. I have heard his message and music before I got saved but it never truly hit me until I was finally saved and perhaps even just listening to it put Jesus and God in my mind, brought the Spirit to remembrance though I did not have the Spirit nor will to submit to God then.

Am I just being weak on the enemy here? I understand we are fighting a war against Satan. I totally get it. But we also do not fear engaging with the enemy, and even the enemy knows and speaks the truth of the Cross… (as did the girl with the python spirit in Acts, etc…)

Praying for the Spirit to guide us.

  27. The fact that you said you were playing the devil’s advocate shows that you had an opinion on the meaning of Philippians 1:18 but quoted it to test the other person’s understanding of it. The dictionary defines it as follows:

    devil’s advocate

    noun

a person who expresses a contentious opinion to provoke debate or test the strength of the opposing arguments.

“the interviewer will need to play devil’s advocate, to put the other side’s case forward”

Note the word “contentious” (argumentative, quarrelsome, provocative) in the description of devil’s advocate.

Here on DTW we’ve had countless people quoting verses with wrong motives, especially to substantiate their unbiblical understanding of biblical passages, “See, you say this or that of this verse but this is what the verse actually means, so there
    . . ..
There are two ways of preaching from the Word. The one is to preach a false or another Jesus (2 Corinthians 11:4), and the other is to preach Christ (the real one) but with wrong motives. It was the latter to which Paul referred when he said, “What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.” (Philippians 1:18).

Paul suffered much, not only under the physical attacks of unbelieving Jews but also at the hands of brethren who had, for some unknown reason, despised him. They were doctrinally correct but had no empathy for him in his bondage for the sake of the Gospel (his jail incarcerations). For those who truly loved him, his bondage encouraged them to boldly preach the Gospel and for those who despised him, his bondage encouraged him to rejoice in their preaching of the truth, despite their envies and strifes.

Pilippians 1:18 does not mean that you can preach whatever heresies you like, just a long as you utter the Name of Jesus now and again, oppose abortion, child molesting, drugs, paedophilia, or whtaever sin imaginable and rejoice because the Gospel is allegedly preached. That’s worse than heresy itself.

Had Paul known Kanye, he would not have said something like this in Philippians 1:18. He would rather have said, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8-9).

How do we know whether Kanye West preaches another gospel? In fact, he does not preach the Word of God at all. He has started his own church to which only certain people (usually celebrities in the entertainment world) are invited. They all wear white or black clothes (to depict their so-called oneness or unity in “Christ”).

The entire “service” consists of prayer and live music. What does the Bible say? “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Rom 10:17). They never preach the unadulterated Word of God. His so-called church services are moneymaking sprees. That’s all.

By the way drums play a major part in the summoning of demons. This is from a website site, “Summoning the Spirits”

As I watched the screen I could see the dancers leaping, higher and higher they soared into the air, headdresses bobbing and waving in unison, as the sound of the drum resonated through the crowd. As the music overtook them their eyes became glassy and they entered into a trance. Later after the dust had settled and they had finished their sacred ceremony, they explained that the combination of the drums and the dancing was powerful enough to summon the spirits that would take over their entire bodies connecting them with what they believed to be the divine.

  28. Hi Lila

It would appear you somewhat idolise Kanye West (before and after his false conversion). I would strongly recommend you repent and focus on Jesus Christ and HIS WORDS indead.

  29. blank Lila says:

Thank you Deborah and Tom. I think I do admire him very much. I thought I could be both a Christian and successful in the world but I saw he lacked wisdom and discernment and my own lusts in wanting it to be “easy” perhaps. And if the Jesus he believes in a false Jesus then I must repent completely. I prayed and repented for it as well as other measures of worldly success.

This reminded me of my journey to repent of all forms of fornication as well. 6 years ago, a speaker (former lesbian professor) at church (Reformed tradition haha) told me what I was doing with my ex boyfriend was wrong. I cried and could not accept it, did not know what to do. I struggled and perhaps I wasn’t truly saved then, and continued my lifestyle of sexual immorality.

This year I went back to God, and it took me some time to accept what was sin, and to renounce it. All this while I was twisting scripture to suit my situation but my heart now truly wants God’s will. I studied and prayed for the Spirit’s guidance. When I finally did renounce it I felt a deep peace in my heart. The work of righteousness is peace, effects of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. I think this situation is similar here and I thank you for the guidance truly.

I know we have to renounce the world. I tried to find a middle ground but I think I need to pray and repent and reflect and study scripture more. Any advice or resources you can provide would be very helpful. It is very difficult to avoid music without drums, not just in the grocery store but also in Christian music, even contemporary renditions of hymns and psalms. I have a bit of struggle with end times premillennialism as well but pray that God will show us His truth in due course as I read His Word more. Thank you for bringing me to repentance and God bless you both…
