Guilt by Association
Many well-known and greatly esteemed preachers and teachers have absolutely no qualms whatsoever about their association with some of the weirdest, worst, and most dangerous false prophets in these last days’ of exponential apostasy. Here are a few well-documented examples.
- STEPHAN JOUBERT: In cahoots with Leonard Sweet, Rob Bell, Ron Martoia, Johan Geyser, Trevor Hudson, Nelus Niemandt, Eugene Peterson and Jan van der Watt, to name but a few.
- JOHAN GEYSER: In cahoots with Stephan Joubert, Thomas Keating, Leonard Sweet, Rob Bell, Ron Martoia, Trevor Hudson, Thomas Merton and other false teachers in the mystically engineered Emergent Church, to name but a few.
- TREVOR HUDSON: In cahoots with Stephan Joubert, Johan Geyser, Theo Geyser (who manages to see Jesus in a sangoma/witch doctor without the help of his glasses), Thomas Keating (who in turn is in cahoots with the integral guru, Ken Wilber), Ron Matroia and Rob Bell, to name but a few.
- KENNETH COPELAND: In cahoots with (and now also in bed with) the Pope of Rome and the Roman Catholic Church, to name but one.
- DION FORSTER: In cahoots with Henri le Saux, Jan van der Watt, Angus Buchan and Graham Power, to name but a few.
- GRAHAM POWER: In cahoots with the Parliament of World Religions and the Roman Catholic Church, to name but two.
- JANNIE PELSER: In cahoots with SAIH (The South African Institute of Hypnotism), and especially with hypnotists Wilco Roberts and Arno Stadler whom he calls his brothers in Christ, and the South African New Ager, Annie Coetzee, to name but a few.
- NELUS NIEMANDT: In cahoots with just about every Tom, Dick and Harry in the Emergent Church. To use a well-known adage, he has even opted to get into bed with homosexuals.
Need I say more? The above-mentioned examples are ample proof that most teachers don’t mind wrapping one arm around the shoulders of the devil whilst lovingly and endearingly putting the other one around Jesus Christ, claiming to follow Him. One would have thought that these men’s association with some of the weirdest false teachers on the planet is the cherry on the cake. Perish the thought. The most shocking association is that of Angus Buchan, our own Potato faith guru, with Rodney Howard-Browne (the “holy laughter” freak who is still laughing all the way to the bank).
Please view the video of Angus Buchan and Rodney Howard-Browne here.
Isn’t it strange that Angus Buchan hardly ever removes his hat when “preaching” but humbly and reverently takes off his hat to Rodney Howard-Browne when he thanks him for filling people with “fire” but most of all with “faith?”
Just imagine the prophet Elijah taking off his hat to the Baal prophets, wrapping his arms around them and saying, “Bully for you, my brothers. God is using you to fill his people with lies, deceit, demons and hellish fires. Keep up the good work. Or Paul taking off his hat and embracing the worst false teachers of his time and saying with tears in his eyes, “Sorry guys I was completely wrong when I wrote Galatians 1: 8 and 9. Please forgive me because you are doing a jolly good work to fill the people with your faith-filled fire.
Since when do humans fill other humans with fire and most of all with faith? Is this the way to do it? Is this the good work Angus Buchan encourages Rodney Howard-Browne to keep up and to fill people with the fires of hell? Shame on you Angus.

Does the Bible pronounce those who associate with false teachers guilty?
The Bible is very clear on the sin of evil associations.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. (Psalm 1:1-6) [Thomas says: Please note the downward spiral road of apostasy. First they walk, then they stand and eventually they sit.]
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (2 John 1:9-11)
Whereas today’s false teachers tolerate each other’s pet heresies and bid one another godspeed by pronouncing a blessing on their so-called Godly inspired ministries, the early church never even greeted them or provided them with any kind of support or hospitality. In fact, those who tolerated false teachers were said to be partakers in the dissemination of their evil doctrines. We find the very same sentiment expressed in Matthew 18:6, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, and Revelation 18:4. John, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost says, that God will strike anyone who follows and supports false teachers dead.
Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. (Revelation 2:20-23) (Emphasis added).
Please note the very strong words “kill their children with death.” Why would He say “kill . . . with death” when killing automatically includes death? It is a very strong mode of Hebraic expression, meaning that He has no reservations about his resolve to destroy them. If these profound words do not strike fear and trembling into the hearts of those who associate with false teachers then nothing will. In fact, the Bible says they will wax worse and worse.
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. (2 Timotheus 3:12-13)
Arguments in defense of evil associations
Relational Spirituality
One of the most common arguments contemporary religious leaders throw at you in defense of their association with false teachers and other religions is that Christian spirituality is grounded in a relational paradigm rather than a doctrinal one.
Marcus Borg (the spiritual freak who said Jesus’ body was probably eaten by dogs) wrote:
“The sacred is not “somewhere else” spatially distant from us. Rather, we live within God . . . God has always been in relationship to us, journeying with us, and yearning to be known by us. Yet we commonly do not know this or experience this. . . . We commonly do not perceive the world of Spirit.”
Let us heed Johan Geyser’s good advice that all Christians’ spirituality should be a biblical spirituality and study God’s Word to see whether Marcus Borg’s and his own presupposition that we all live in God and that the air we breath is the Spirit (Ruah), is true. What does the Bible say?
But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God]. (Romans 8:9).
The following video says it all.
The Emerging Church and Comm-unity
Jesus Christ emphatically stated that we are not worthy of Him and cannot be his disciples if we do not hate our own family members. (Luke 14:26-27). How does this command tie in with his command to love one another and even our worst enemies in the fulfillment of the Law? (Romans 13:10). He could not possibly have meant that we should literally hate our family members. (Ephesians 5:25). The emphasis is rather on the priority of love (Matthew 10:37). Anyone who prioritizes his relationship with his family, friends and others over and above his relationship with God and his doctrines (John 14:15) is not worthy of Him and cannot be his disciple or follower. Despite their claim that they are followers of Jesus Christ in their emulation of his life, love, service, and respect toward all mankind, their outright disrespect for his doctrines disqualifies them from being his true disciples. Throughout his mission on earth, Jesus’ relationship with his Father was based on Him doing the will of his Father. (Mark 3:31-35; Hebrews 10:7-9).
One of the core elements of the Emergent Church is storytelling without being judgmental, condescending and patronizing. Everyone, they say, has a story to tell on their journey into the future and in their seeking the truth. This in itself is sheer Buddhism. Strephan Joubert describes the journey as follows:
Another thing that you need to know: Life is holy, life is holy. When you follow Jesus as the Sage, not as the religious professional, as the guy with all the rules for right and wrong, but as the Sage from heaven, Jesus will tell you. You will learn from Him: Life is holy. Every single person that you will cross paths with will be holy.
Every place you are will be holy. So this is the journey. The pilgrimage is not to go to holy places. Every morning you wake up, if, you’re on a pilgrimage. When you have coffee at Mug and Bean. Do that more [often]. That’s on a pilgrimage. I don’t know how this works, because wisdom literature never tells you how it works.
Life is viewed as a journey, with each person living their own story. Participants try to foster a welcoming, nonjudgmental atmosphere within the local emerging church community.
Stephan obviously has no clue what he is saying. He is merely parroting his associates. As you may have noticed, this journey takes place in a holy bubble where everything (even Stephan Joubert’s favorite coffee shop, Mugg and Bean) and everyone else in it is holy. So, why can’t we associate with everyone (except, of course, those crackpot fundamentalists who have been barred from their holy conferences at Mosaiek Kerk in Fairland, Johannesburg). To them, even the god of this world is holy, a holy associate on their journey to hell (unless, of course, they repent of their evil associations and separate themselves from their evil associates, which is the real meaning of being holy.
Storytelling is yet another ploy of the devil to refurbish or supplant solid Biblical doctrines with new post-modern ideas. In this instance, storytelling has replaced biblical evangelizing and Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:18-20. Instead of proclaiming (heralding) the Gospel and telling people how to be saved, the holy bubble and huddle crowd tell little stories. Stephan Joubert explains:
It [the Emergent Church] involves people who have a passion to say [that] the world and its culture in our generation need to be won back to Christ. And therefore I am not going to criticize their culture but I’m going to engage it. Therefore, I’m not going to take on their spirituality and postulate my truths. I’m going to listen to what they have to say because I can prove [to them] the truth ad infinitum as I did in the 1960’s, and I can debate with a Buddhist or a Hindu and sit there with them and say ‘here is my truth, here are my stuff.’ But now as an Emerging Church guy I will say [to them], let us listen . . . I’m not going to try and change you but you also have the right to hear how I feel and I’m not going to make any excuses for who I am. I’m not going to force my religion down your throat.
Stephan Joubert may just as well have said to Jesus Christ.
I refuse to obey your command to go into all the world and make disciples of all the nations and to teach them to observe everything you taught me. Nevertheless, I will sit down with them in an interfaith environment and cheerfully listen to what their religions teach, not for the purpose of becoming one of them but to prove to them that I respect the truths their faith upholds. I’m not going to force my truths down their throat.
I can agree that Stephan should not postulate or force his truths down other peoples’ throats but I sincerely disagree that he should withhold God’s truths from people of other faiths. God is going to say to him.
When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. (Ezekiel 3:18) (Emphasis added).
All who name the Name of Christ must unite
Ecumenism has very little respect for the Name of Jesus Christ Christ because it aims to unite all religions under the banner of love, compassion, mutual respect, and tolerance of each other’s faith and religious affiliations. Adversely the Bible says something completely different.
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (2 Timothy 2:19).
What constitutes iniquity? Is it merely the sins we do or is it also the things we often say in defiance of God’s Word which leads multitudes of unsuspecting seekers of God astray? Jesus once said,
“It will be bad for you teachers of the law and you Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You close the way for people to enter God’s kingdom. You yourselves don’t enter, and you stop those who are trying to enter. (Matthew 23:13)
There are many people who truly seek after God and yearn to know Him but are being led astray by a bunch of hypocrites who speak well of and refer unsuspecting seekers of God to false teachers, John the Baptist pointed sinners to Jesus: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29) and God the Father said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” (Matthew 17:5).
No! saith today’s Pharisaic hypocrites, “Listen to Jurgen Moltmann, Wolfhart Pannenberg, Leonard Sweet, Brian McLaren, Ron Martoia, Rob Bell, Thomas Merton, Thomas Keating, Richard Rohr, Theresa of Avilla, Brother Lawrence, St. John of the Cross, Ken Wilber, Stephan Joubert, Johan and Theo Geyser, Trevor Hudson, Jan van der Watt, the Pope of Rome and everyone else who names the name of Christ. False teachers just love to exalt other false teachers. Listen to what Stephan Joubert writes in his infamous prize-winning book “Jesus, A Radical Leap”:
Lives filled with reflection and silent contemplation. Innovative faith communities are increasingly returning to the original roots of Christendom. Peoples’ deep need for a life changing spirituality in our hectic world is inspiring the rediscovery of precious disciplines from the early church in many places. Reflective, apophatic prayer, as well as the spiritual reading of the Word (Lectio Divina) is once again the order of the day. The revival of retraites, pilgrimages and visits to places of prayer and solitude is indicative of this worldwide quest in Christian circles for an innermost becoming part of the character of the Living God. The new journeys of many Christians are those big inner directed journeys. Now it concerns the journey of the soul on its way to bigger peace and rest at the feet of God. [Thomas says: But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked. – Isa 57:20-21). These quests are not only undertaken during the dark moments of the soul. No, it is also undertaken as part of peoples’ normal spiritual discipline(-s) of dedication to God. It means that the present interest in retraites is complemented with the daily practice of these principles. Many faith communities arrange special occasions such as silent services, daily communion and smaller gatherings in order to experience God’s presence, holiness and magnitude through spiritual disciplines of silence and solitude. Christian meditation and refelction on the Word in this context serve as travel guides. Lectio Divina with its beautiful facets of oratio, contemplatio, lectio and meditation aim to make the Word of God part of the believers metabolism so that it may be entrenched in their hearts and lives. Today’s new saints are those who in solitude find peace and quiet with God and manifest it in genuine ways. They are the silent voices of hope. Their own mysterious discoveries of God’s goodness is magnetic. They are the new signposts who help people to find meaning in their lives. They are endearing fellow travellers to God’s heart that leads people into new relationships with God. People like Willem Nicol, Trevor Hudson and Johan Geyser are telling examples of this spirituality. (1)
The Bible warns us to look at the fruit of a tree before we make any worthwhile observations about the character of these new “silent voices of hope.”
Willem Nicol
One of the main traits of those who love to associate with false teachers and their doctrines is that they are forever praising and exalting their associates in their spiritual crimes against God and humanity.
“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets”. (Luke 6:26)
Willem Nicol, one of Stephan Joubert’s associates whom he calls one of today’s new saints and a pillar of hope in the Christian community, emphatically denies that the Word of God (His Gospel) is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 1:18). Instead, he audaciously and defiantly declares,
“There are people who on a daily basis experience what significance the Bible has for their spirit, . . . It is understandable that many of us do not enjoy the Bible any longer . . . especially the free spirits who are interested in meditation feel that the Bible is too restrictive.” Whatever your belief is, silence helps you to open yourself more to it (your faith convictions) and to be formed by them (2).
Non-Christians are also invited, especially the ones who are interested in meditation. Many religions experience the value of silence in different ways, and insofar it is good, it actually does come from God, so that our experiences should open paths to one another and to Him (3).
Pragmatism (which says “if it is good and works for you it must be from God”) is one of the gold-plated stepping stones that lead directly to hell. All that glitters is not gold.
Unless Jesus has changed since He took up residence in heaven at the right hand of his Father after his ascension, I am sure He will still be saying to these charlatans, “You are hypocrites! You close the way for people to enter God’s kingdom. You yourselves don’t enter, and you stop those who are trying to enter.
Trevor Hudson
Trevor Hudson wrote a book in collaboration with Morton Kelsey called “Journey of the Spirit: Meditations for the Spiritual Seeker” in which they quote Thomas Merton favorably. Some of you may immediately argue that there is nothing wrong in quoting others who have different perspectives on religion and spirituality. Yes, I suppose it’s OK to quote them when you want to expose their heresies but to quote them favorably is another kettle of fish. Why? Because persons who are looked up to as leaders in society can easily mislead others when they quote and speak well of false teachers. Was Thomas Merton a false teacher? Decide for yourself when reading the following quotes.
It is a glorious destiny to be a member of the human race, … now I realize what we all are…. If only they [people] could all see themselves as they really are … I suppose the big problem would be that we would fall down and worship each other…. At the center of our being is a point of nothingness which is untouched by sin and by illusions, a point of pure truth…. This little point … is the pure glory of God in us. It is in everybody. (4)
Asia, Zen, Islam, etc., all these things come together in my life. It would be madness for me to attempt to create a monastic life for myself by excluding all these. I would be less a monk. (5)
I believe that by openness to Buddhism, to Hinduism, and to these great Asian [mystical] traditions, we stand a wonderful chance of learning more about the potentiality of our own Christian traditions. (6)
Personally, in matters where dogmatic beliefs differ, I think that controversy is of little value because it takes us away from the spiritual realities into the realm of words and ideas … in words there are apt to be infinite complexities and subtleties which are beyond resolution…. But much more important is the sharing of the experience of divine light … It is here that the area of fruitful dialogue exists between Christianity and Islam. (7)
Trevor Hudson and his cohorts (fellow associates in the doctrines of demons) obviously have no regard whatsoever for the words of the apostle Paul in Second Corinthians,
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
Like all his buddies at Mosaiek Kerk in Fairland, Johannesburg, Trevor Hudson seems to have no fear of God whatsoever to whom he will have to give an account of why he wrote a book with Morton T. Kelsey who said these abominable things:
When we are clear enough about our own point of view, we can find help in the methods of Eastern Christianity or in the ways of the Far East, perhaps by consulting the I Ching or through mandala contemplation; we may even find help in the ways of shamanism or Islam. If we are clear about where we stand and the direction we must take, such methods may be useful in order to follow our own way to the end. (8)
The inner journey is as individual as our thumbprint. We need to guide others on their way and never impose our way upon them. (9)
What meditation does mean is a way for us to unlock and open the door to the kingdom of heaven. Jesus began his ministry by proclaiming that this holy kingdom was within us and among us. (10)
Unless Jesus has changed since He took up residence in heaven at the right hand of his Father after his ascension, I am pretty sure He will still be saying to these charlatans, “You are hypocrites! You close the way for people to enter God’s kingdom. You yourselves don’t enter, and you stop those who are trying to enter.
Johan Geyser
Johan Geyser is perhaps the most prolific preacher in South Africa – the most prolific in leading others astray. His brilliance as an Emergent Preacher lies in the fact that he is able to draw from the murky waters of the wells of paganism (Hinduism, Buddhism, Contemplative Spirituality, and even movies like “Avatar”) and miraculously transform its muddy waters into Bible-tasting new wine. Who would have thought that the blockbuster film “Avatar” could be used as a metaphor depicting the difference between duality and non-duality and the imminent Kingdom of God? Well, don’t be too surprised because Johan Geyser has managed to do just that in a YouTube video called “Avatar – Johan Geyser.”
Before we dig deeper into Johan Geyser’s crazy mixed bag of God’s Kingdom and Avatarism, let us quote what Dave Hunt of The Berean Call has to say about the film “Avatar.”
“After reading dozens and dozens of comments by young people enamored with the theology in Avatar, it is apparent that its false gospel is finding fertile soil worldwide as it introduces and attracts millions of moviegoers to shamanism.” Dave Hunt
Here in a nutshell is what the film Avatar conveys to its viewers. According to Michael Harner, a noted anthropologist and shaman,
“A shaman enters an altered state of consciousness at will to acquire knowledge, power, and to help other persons. The shaman has at least one, and usually more, ‘spirits’ in his personal service. To perform his work, the shaman depends on special, personal power, which is usually supplied by his guardian and helping spirits.”
It is not too difficult to see this shamanic principle played out in the paraplegic, Jake Sully, when his spirit enters another body – his Avatar – to assist the Na’vi in the defense of their planet, Pandora, against greedy and evil humans who had invaded Pandora to replenish earth’s dwindling energy supplies.
Johan Geyser leaves his audience with the impression that he is a theist who simply wants to superimpose a theistic view on the pagan “Avatar” film. Well, he can hardly be a theist when he believes that God is in all and all is in God. He is a full-blooded panentheist under the guise of another kind of theism. In fact, he says that there are many forms or kinds of theism which simply means that one can incorporate theism into panentheism and still get away with it. To quote Abraham Lincoln, “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” And yet, he is leading thousands of his own congregants at Mosaiek Kerk in Fairland, Johannesburg astray. He says,
Something that is so beautiful on Pandora is that there was this focus on the indwelling divine presence of their creator goddess in creation. (11) God is not there somewhere else aside from his creation.
He is also in his creation and He works in creation as He is in each one of us. And that is why he suddenly brings this respect to bear in the Na’vi. The Pandora way is to have a lot of respect for other people because the creator also lives in them. . . . When I meet someone and say “I see you” it is a way of greeting them in Pandora Land. (12) because I see the image of God in you.
The Sanskrit “Namaste” [means] “I recognize the image of God in you.” There is this whole reverence and also the contrast with the other world that looks more like the world we are living in now. We plunder, we abuse for our own profit and selfishness without any thoughts about our future or something of this earth.
And many Christians feel like that. This earth is nothing. I want to get away; it is evil and bad. I want to leave for Pandora land, up there on another place. That is where I want to live. And the Lord says, Now, embrace it now. We are now avatars. We are all avatars. Avatar means a manifestation of the divine. (13) And it is a word Hindus use to refer to the incarnation of Vishna in Krishna or in Rama.
We are all avatars; we are all image bearers of God. God also lives in us, works in us. We can show reverence and respect; we look at one another. . . . What I like is that it suggests that it is not something that happens automatically with you – the transformation.
So, the Kingdom of God has already come; it’s here now where we are but it doesn’t look like it. It must grow; it must increase. And it does not mean we cannot transcend anything. We can rise above our limitations. We are all paralyzed on some or other place or some or other way but it does not have to hinder or stop us to ever enter into this life.
This is the message. We can grow. It does not happen automatically. You do not only need time to grow. You must learn. It is effort. It is discipline.
The irony is that Johan Geyser and his cohorts at Mosaiek Kerk have absolutely no reverence or respect for their fellowmen. His whole spiel with the word Namaste which means “I recognize God in you” means absolutely nothing because he is deliberately and rebelliously teaching his congregants to go after other gods. (Deuteronomy 6:14: 13:2). To summarize, we may observe the following biblical truths Johan Geyser audaciously attacks.
1) He attacks God’s deity.
God is not in or part of his creation and neither is He in all people (Romans 8:9). Although He transcends his creation He does not stand aloof of his creation. God did not incarnate Himself into creation when the alleged big bang took place billions of years ago as Richard Rohr likes to tell us. God is self-existent and outside and above his creation (John 8:23).
Yes indeed, Jesus left his heavenly abode of timelessness and spacelessness for a while and entered a finite world filled with finite people to accomplish the will of his Father on the cross. Yet, He is now again outside and above his creation and not, as panentheists believe, present in or a part of his creation.
Had He been, His self-existent infinity would have been dependent on something finite and subject to entropy which, of course, would make Him less than God. No, no, the critiques may protest, His existence is not dependent on his creation.
Well, in that case, why do they see Him in his creation? (“I see you” to use the Pandora phrase). The most obvious reason why they must panentheitize God is to sustain their at-one-ment or oneness theory. If God is in his creation then He must also be in all his creatures who bear his image.
Panentheism is the catalyst to unite all religions and all peoples into one big family of god-bearers. The reverence and respect for others in Johan Geyser’s estimate is not only respect and a reverence for the person but most of all for other peoples’ religion, whatever it may be.
2) He attacks the cross of Christ as the union-maker.
Union or being united in one body is a very important topic in the Bible. However, it is miles apart from the panentheistic view of union, at-one-ment or oneness. Paul describes how this union between Jews and Gentiles and consequently the union of this new body of believers with Himself was accomplished through the cross of Jesus Christ in Ephesians 2:14-16.
The blood of Jesus Christ’s cross broke down the wall of enmity between the Jews and the Gentiles. Jews and Gentiles were at enmity because the Jews sought to keep the Law with all its commandments and regulations while the Gentiles had no concern for the Law.
By the way, legalism in whatever form it may present itself is still like a wall of contention between many Christians today. However, since the Law was made inoperative [Christ is the fulfillment and the end of the Law – Romans 10:4] the hostility between Jewish and Gentile believers has ceased.
They are now one body in Christ and also in his Kingdom (Colossians 1:13). This was entirely the doing of Jesus Christ and the blood of his cross. No! saith Johan Geyser, transformation is not something that happens automatically. You need time to grow into the kingdom. Learning, effort, and discipline are requirements to enter into and participate in his Kingdom.
In fact, he deliberately twists the meaning of Matthew 11:12 and says that the Kingdom of God must be taken by force. The irony, however, is that Johan Geyser and Stephan Joubert who are forever playing down the institutionalized church by calling them religious Pharisees, are doing exactly what the Pharisees were doing in the time of John the Baptist.
The religious leaders of Jesus’ day (forceful men who lay heavy burdens on peoples’ shoulders without lifting a finger to soften others’ burdens) rejected John the Baptist’s message of repentance and sought to enter the kingdom on their own merit. Stephan Joubert and Jan van der Watt’s interpretation of this verse in their translation of the Bible “Die Boodksap” (The Message) is even worse. The Afrikaans says it thus,
Van die dag dat Johannes begin preek het tot nou toe het die onkeerbare krag van God se nuwe wêreld al keer op keer oor die mense gespoel. Mense wat op en wakker is, gryp elke geleentheid aan om deel te word daarvan.
In English it looks like this:
From the day when John began preaching up until now, the unstoppable power of God’s new world has spilled over the people again and again. People who are alert (awakening) grasp every opportunity to become part of it.
Huh? Really? People who are alert (and awakening) take advantage of every opportunity to become part of God’s new world? What do they mean? Both the terms “awakening” and “new world” are New Age jargon. The awakening part of the deal pertains to the continuous practice of contemplative spiritual disciplines like contemplative prayer, silence, Lection Divina, etc. to help you reach an altered state of consciousness and ultimately God-realization, as Johan Geyser so succinctly explained when he said we are all avatars in whom the Kingdom of God resides. The new world cannot be anything else than the New World Order.
Jesus could not possibly have meant that the Kingdom of God was in his arch enemies, the Pharisees. The Pharisees rejected Him as the Messiah and refused to acknowledge Him as their King and therefore denying that He is the King of the Kingdom of God. The Emergent fraternity twists Scripture to their own destruction. (2 Peter 3:16).
The Pharisees wanted a kingdom but not the kingdom Jesus presented and wanted to take hold of it by violent force (their own efforts). The discipline Johan Geyser refers to has nothing to do with the training and controlling of oneself and one’s conduct, usually for one’s improvement.
The “discipline” he has in mind is the disciplines they practice at retreats, i.e. contemplative prayer, silence, meditation, Lection Divina, Labyrinths, etc. Like the Pharisees of old, they too want to take the Kingdom by violent force (their own efforts) by means of these abominable disciplines which are but avenues for demons to communicate their vile doctrines. (1 Timothy 4:1).
3) He attacks and mocks Biblical eschatology and especially the Rapture
Their disdain for solid biblical eschatology is one of the main traits of the Emergent Church. They regard the imminent return of Jesus Christ at the Rapture as a kind of escapism whereby many Christians want to rid themselves of the evils of this world. They do not foresee a time when God is going to judge the world righteously. They see the world through a so-called incarnational lens.
By doing good works, caring for the poor, and forging a spiritual relationship with just about every Tom, Dick and Harry they are incarnating the Cosmic Christ’s compassion into the world. God, they say, is already in the future and is beckoning us into a glorious new future of peace, happiness, harmony, and most of all at-one-ment or a cosmic oneness.
To substantiate their incarnational spirituality, Johan Geyser quotes 1 Corinthians 7:17 from the abominable transliteration of the Bible by Eugene Peterson. The Message: “And don’t be wishing you were someplace else or with someone else. Where you are right now is God’s place for you. Live and obey and love and believe right there. . . . Don’t think I’m being harder on you than on the others. I give this same counsel in all the churches.”
Contrary to the context of this passage which deals with a marriage between a believer and a non-believer, Johan Geyser cunningly and demoniacally uses it to encourage his followers not to yearn for life over there (Like Jake Sully in the film “Avatar”) but to stay here on earth as avatars who manifest the divine. The verse simply says that a believer should not seek to divorce his or her unbelieving spouse but to stay put for the believers may be instrumental in the winning of their spouses to Christ.
Allow me to be frank and honest. Anyone who even remotely associates him or herself with the synagogue of Satan in Fairland, Johannesburg (the Mosaiek Kerk) is in danger of the indictment in Revelation 2.
And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. (Revelation 2:18-23).
May God have mercy on their pitiful souls.
Jesus Christ said,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. (John 10:1-5)
The word “φευÌγω” for fleeing (pheugoÌ„, fyoo’-go) means to literally run away from spiritual whoredom or adultery in much the same way Joseph ran from Potiphar’s wife when she wanted to seduce him. The genuine sheep of the Lord Jesus Christ will never listen to or heed the voice of spiritual harlots. They will never follow them. They will rather expose them and warn their brethren against their abominable heresies. Whoever listens to and follows strangers (false teachers) and tip their hats to strangers or hail strangers as the “new voices of hope,” “endearing fellow-travelers to God’s heart” and “new signposts who help people find new meaning in their lives” should seriously ask themselves “Am I a true sheep of Jesus or am I a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

11) Eywa, the creator goddess the Na’vi worship, comes from the word Aiwa which in turn comes from the word “aiwass” or “aiwaz.” It is the name the occultist and satanist, Alistair Crowly gave to his spirit guide, a demon, who inspired him to write his occult book “The Book of the Law.” Aiwass is Lucifer who disguises himself as an angel of light.
12) In Greek mythology “Pandora” is the very first woman the gods formed from clay. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that she is the satanic representation of Eve in Genesis. Pandora’s box is a cube that in the occult refers to Saturn which in turn represents Satan’s world. So, what this movie in effect depicts, is a satanic world where everyone is a giant. Pandora is therefore actually worshiping Satan. The movie basically teaches that everyone needs an awakening, an awakening to the fact that we are all one (the so-called New Age at-one-ment theology) because God is allegedly in everything and everyone. And there you have it. We are all avatars, as Johan Geyser said, which means we are our own Saviours.

Wow!!! Things are getting bad!!
Wickus,
You aint seen nuttin yet. It is going to get worse – much worse.
Barnes writes:
What are these seductive arts? You know, don’t you? Meditation, Silence, Lectio Divina, Contemplative Prayer, Centering Prayer, Labyrinths, Avatarism, Yoga, Hypnotism, Solitude. slain in the spirit, false healing, false speaking in tongues, false teaching, gold dust etc. etc. etc. Stay away from these things and abide in Christ. Then alone will you be safe. There were only eight souls in the ark when God’s judgment fell upon the earth. Very little souls are in the Ark (Jesus Christ) these days.
Very few find the strait gate and the narrow way because they are besotted by false prophets who are ravening wolves in sheep’s clothing. They are everywhere. They speak like Christians, they look like Christians; they even say they are followers of Christ but they are not.
Yes WOW! – I’ve been waiting for this!
“by your friends and fruit”
You get into bed with a prostitute… you become one.
2 Petr. 1:7 [AOV] en by die godsvrug die broederliefde, en by die broederliefde die naasteliefde.
2 Petr.
As jy nie omgee nie, wil ek eers weer ‘n slag jou comment goed deurlees voordat ek enige komentaar lewer. Ek is deesdae bietjie stadiger as toe ek jonger was.
