Rebecca Brown – Don’t Bind Yourself in her Books
Rebecca Brown’s false teaching: WARNING!
I contacted Rebecca Brown’s publishing company a few times asking for permission to quote from their book “He Came To Set The Captives Free”, but I received no reply. That is fine, I won’t quote I will never the less write about what she believes and give page numbers so that people can refer back to her book.
1) Shield of protection, shield of faith, and pleading the blood of Jesus:
Throughout the book Rebecca Brown tells you that you need to pray for protection by shielding yourself with a shield of protection (pg. 4). There is no such thing. She also claims the shield of faith over other people (pg. 19). This is not possible. You see, part of the armour of God is the shield of faith. You are to put on the whole armour of God, you don’t need to pray for individual pieces of armour to protect you and you can’t pray the armour of God over other people. Putting on the armour of God is something you do personally with God’s help: gird your waist with truth, put on breastplate of righteousness, shod your feet with preparation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, put on the shield of faith which quenches attacks from Satan, the helmet of salvation, by believing that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again, and finally the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. You apply these pieces of armour daily, you arm yourself by obeying God’s commandments and in doing so guard yourself against any attack from Satan.
- Ephesians 6:10-18 The Whole Armor of God 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints-
She also pleads the blood of Jesus over herself and others and inanimate objects (pg. 17) Please article see here about Pleading the Blood of Jesus Is it Right or Wrong?
2) Reveal diagnoses: (pgs. 12, 19)
God gave Rebecca Brown ‘discernment’ in deciding which patients were demonically afflicted or just plain sick. She uses the following verses to back up her beliefs.
- Luke 10:9 “And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.”
- Mark 16:17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”
These verses are speaking to the Apostles, and the disciples of Jesus who had power to perform miracles. Jesus Christ gave the Apostles their power to do great things as a sign to confirm that He rose from the dead. Believers in Jesus Christ who went out and preached the gospel of Jesus Christ could perform miracles as well. It was the ‘sign of an apostle’ to do signs and wonders.
- 2 Corinthians 12:12: “Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.”
God chose certain people to witnessed Jesus ascend into heaven, among these were the Apostles had the power to heal the sick, cast out demons, tread on serpents and scorpions and speak in tongues, etc.
- Acts 10:40-43 “40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; 41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. 42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. 43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”
Only Jesus who is God was capable of doing miracles and any who believed in Him had the power to perform miracles, once the bible had been written the ‘sign of the apostle’ ceased. Today we seek Jesus Christ by faith and faith alone because He wants us to believe in Him through faith alone not by seeing miracles.
- John 20:29 “Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” and
- 1 Peter 1:8 “Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:”
Anyone who says they have power to heal, raise the dead, etc., are denying Jesus Christ’s power and replacing it with man-made power, i.e, satanic power.
If we need a miracle we pray directly to Jesus Christ for our healing, deliverance etc.
3) God’s lack of power:
Rebecca Brown’s ‘Lord’ reveled to her that the only way he could get a message through to her one night, was because of the prayer of other people. (pg. 23) Apparently her god is not strong enough to get a message through to someone himself and needs mankind’s help.’
4) Satanic sales:
Elaine states in He Came to Set the Captives free, when you drink blood in a satanic ritual you immediately become possessed (this I could understand to be true if you are an unbeliever and you welcome the demonic to take hold of you) however the book implies that when this happens it appears you lose your free will to choose. (pg. 25) This is unbiblical. See below section 12) Unbinding someone where I go into this in more detail.
5) Demonic manifestations: (pgs. 39, 40, 43)
Elaine says that a demon manifested itself to her in physical form. This is not the movies Rebecca Brown, demons can not take on a human physical form of their own. They can possess human yes, and they can appear to you in a spiritual demonic form, but what Elaine is saying is that a demon appeared in a physical form (human form) with glowing eyes and you could touch the demons body as if it were human flesh and blood. This is not true at all. On (pg. 43) a demon appears before Elaine in a cloud of sulfuric smoke? Seriously? Sulfuric, not any other kind of smoke? On (pg. 43) she says that as she grew in mastering magic she got to the point where she could see and talk to demonic entities without them having to take on their physical form. I would have thought that would be the other way around? First you communicate with the ones you can’t see and as you become more skilled in your witchcraft they presented themselves to you in physical form? Oh what-everrrr, it is such a load of nonsense.
6) Martial arts training:
Elaine says she was trained in Karate, Judo and Kung Fu. The reason was to become a guard or assassin (pg. 42, 43). Now I need to ask this question, why are they training in martial arts when they supposedly are highly trained in magical arts? And so evil and dangerous. Surely spells are far more efficient than an assassin with a ninja star? Hmm, makes you think does it not.
7) Spirit Bodies: chapter 14
In the book He came to set the captives free Rebecca Brown gives instructions telling us that we must put on the whole armour of God. Now this is biblical, what makes theirs unbilbical is that they want you to literally clothe your ‘spirit body’ which according to Rebecca Brown is the same as your physical body. She quotes:
- 1 Corinthians 15:44 “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. “
But what does this verse really mean? Here Paul is speaking about the resurrected body, not some strange spirit body that we are supposed to have. If you quote the whole of 1 Corinthians 15:44 in context you get the real answer.
- I Corinthians 15:42-44 “42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Rebecca Brown in her unscriptural beliefs (Watchman Nee propagates this occult spirit body idea as well) goes on to say that this spirit body that we have has a mind and will of it’s own. She uses 1 Corinthians 1:44 to state that our spirits have a form/shape corresponding to our physical body. She says that not many people know this, only satanists know. One would think that if this was biblical it would be in the bible and most people would know about it.
Rebecca Brown tried to validate this teaching even more by quoting 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 and Revelation 4: 1-2 to show that when our spirit body is separated from you physical body, your spirit body can experience things that your physical body can’t feel.
- 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 “2I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 4How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.”
- Revelation 4: 1-2 “1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.”
If you read the scriptures Rebecca Brown quoted carefully, you will notice that she is using the scripture about Paul when he was raptured into heaven. The verses state that while Paul’s soul or spirit may have or may not have left his body (read the above verse) Paul was clearly aware of what happened to him and what he saw. Rebecca Brown says otherwise, she says your spirit body can act independently without the person even knowing. What is even more shocking is that the spirit body can be used by Satan without the persons knowledge (pg. 177). Once again Rebecca Brown alludes to the fact that we don’t have free-will.
When Paul stated the following:
- 1 Corinthians 5:1-4 ” 1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,”
Paul was using a metaphor. It’s not to be taken literally. Have you never heard of people saying, “I am there with you in the spirit”, or “I won’t be there in body but I will be there in spirit”. Paul was not astral projecting himself to the Corinthian church while on the other side of the world where his body stood. This whole idea of a spirit body is demonic and totally unbibical.
In the book He came to set the captives free, Elaine says she received this new revelation about ‘the spirit body’ from an angel that visited her. Elaine spent 2 hours conversing with this angel. (pg. 126) Because we now know that the spirit body is not biblical and of the devil is it safe to say that the angel that visited Elaine was nothing but an demonic Angel of Light
- 2 Corinthians 11:14 “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
8) Standing in the Gap
Rebecca Brown states that one can ‘stand in the gap’ for other people, entire hospitals and cities for that matter (pg. 10). She says you can ‘stand in the gap’ with your spirit body and get yourself spiritually beaten to a pulp while we take the blows intended for others. It’s like you are being a ‘spiritual’ body guard for someone and the demons have to get past you first before they can get to the other person. And to top things off you wont be able to make it to church because you will just be too sick to show up (pg. 178, 179).
But do note that you will rarely even notice that you are ‘standing in the gap’ according to Rebecca Brown because God has control over our spirit bodies (pg. 180). In the spirit realm your spirit body will fight, like, imagine you are inside a computer game, you vs the monsters, and they will beat you up or throw stones at you as you battle on the ‘spiritual war fields’ of never never land on behalf of other people (pg. 187). She says that this is what it means to bear another’s burdens. Really? What a load of nonsense. What this sounds like to me is Rebecca Brown is trying to take on the job that Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. He was wounded, bruised and beaten for us and He took our burdens on the cross.
- Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
When Paul told the Galatians to bear one another’s burden he was speaking about restoring a Christian brother who was at fault or backslidden. Not jump into the spiritual world and take a demonic beating.
- Galatians 6:1-2 “1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
- In Ezekiel 22:30-31 it says “30And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. 31Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. “
This verse merely states that God was going to destroy the land because He could find no one to ‘stand in the grap’ for it, in other words, God could find no one to pray. Rebecca Brown also tries to tell us that Moses stood in the gap for the Israel, but what Rebecca Brown fails to tell you is all Moses did was pray, this is what standing in the gap means, he did not head for a spiritual realm with his spirit body and get beaten up by demons on behalf of Israel.
Freemasons this includes Promise Keepers also represent ‘stand in the gap’ as a Masonic phallic tower / obelisk. Lou Engle a prominent Apostle within C. Peter Wagner’s New Apostolic reformation made an urgent call to the nation and gathered 400,000 of youth in Washington DC in 2000 around an Obelisk. He called his movement The Call.
He said, “God is looking for intercessors. That’s not just a fancy word to replace “prayer.” It is a high calling–some say the supreme vocation. There is a small piece of real estate that exists in between God and His rebellious creation, and it’s called “the gap.” You are called to stand there. You were made to stand there.” [Emphasis added]
http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word/6044
Biblically speaking no one can stand between between God and the sinner to prevent God’s anger and punishment to be metered out on the sinner. You can pray yes, but to think there is some realm of space where you can stand in the gap on behalf of someone is occult thinking. After the Israelite’s made a golden calf to worship it, Moses pleaded with God that if God would not forgive Israel’s sin he asked God to blot out his name fro the book of life, God replied and said no, he would not do that, he would remove the sinners name from the book instead.
- Exodus 32:31-33 “3 1And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. 32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin–; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written” 33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
9) Angels and the covenant
An angel appears to Elaine; this angel was rather vicious in that it came to kill Elaine. The reason it wanted to kill her was because Elaine did not enter into some kind of covenant with God to protect her from future attacks from Satanists. That’s a bit confusing is it not. God offers you protection through a so called covenant, you refuse it, so God sends an Angel to kill you? Makes perfect sense, not. Elaine was apparently rebellious with God, that is why she did not want to enter this covenant. She thought she could go it alone, fight off the Satanists with her own power. She didn’t need God’s help, oh no, never. She was so sure of herself that in the book she states that she was ready to ‘punch’ the angel right out for coming to see her and try kill her. Rebecca Brown interceded and asked God to give her the punishment meant for Elaine instead. God apparently heard her prayer and His wrath was diverted to Rebecca Brown. The angel then left.
What is wrong with this account? So much. No where in the bible is there any scripture where God meters out His wrath on His children. Secondly, no where does God take out His wrath on a child of God in place of someone else. Thirdly no where in the bible does God ask you to make another covenant with him – When you become born again you are automatically covered by the New Covenant, washed by the Blood of Jesus. Fourth, no where in the bible does God destroy or send an angel to kill His children because they did not listen to him. This angel, if it ever existed and not a figment of Elaine and Rebecca’s imagination is Satan in disguise.
10) So many covenants…
In the book Prepare for War, Rebecca Brown states that when we get saved Jesus makes a covenant with each and every one of us, a special plan for each and every one of us she says (pg. 127). She also states that she has entered into many different covenants with God, one in particular she was indecisive about because it required serious personal sacrifice and hardship. She believed that if she entered into this covenant and she broke the covenant by not being able to keep it she would lose her salvation (pg. 32). This is unbiblical, there is one covenant. We do not all have separate covenants and we don’t enter into more than one covenant. Jesus Christ sacrifice on the cross ushered in a New Covenant that replaced the Old. We have individual relationships with Jesus, through one covenant, the New Covenant. We need to remember that whatever promises we make to God, if we fail to keep them we will be sinning. Jesus warned us about taking oaths, pledges, promises, in fact God forbids it because He knows mankind is sinful and will not keep their promises.
- Matthew 5:34-37 “34But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: 35Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.”
If however Rebecca Brown ever did enter into a promise with God and she could not live up to the promise, Rebecca Brown would not lose her salvation, because God grace gives room for repentance of sin. Rebecca Brown infers that breaking a covenant as an unpardonable sin. Rebecca is placing a tremendous burden on the reader, that if they were to make a covenant with God and not keep it they would lose their salvation, this is unbiblical and of the devil.
11) No security
Rebecca Brown does not believe in Eternal Security, she says that God will give salvation to those who make it to the end and God makes no promises to give salvation and eternal life to those who don’t make it till the end. (pg. 191) Rebecca’s theology here is very confusing, she views salvation and eternal life as two separate issues. According to her, you get saved, then have to endure till the end to get eternal life. This is not biblical. Once you are truly born again you are sealed by the Holy Spirit and destined for Eternal life. You can’t become unsaved because when the Holy Spirit enters you He stays permanently, making a deposit on your soul. Those who do not endure to the end are never truly saved to start off with.
See all articles on Eternal Security.
12) Unbinding someone
Rebecca Brown has a very interesting view point on how people get saved. She says that you need to rebuke and bind the demonic forces causing spiritual blindness in someone and once you have bound these demons, they flee and on then is the person able to accept the gospel (pg. 150).
No where in the bible does anyone do this, no where in the bible are we told to do this. In fact if it were just demons holding people back from being saved and not their free-will to choose the world (Satan) or Jesus Christ, or the individuals wicked heart (Jeremiah 17:9) that prevents him/her from believing in Jesus Christ because he/she loves sin more.
Based on Rebecca Browns way of preaching, I think the disciples would have had a tremendous amount of success converting people to Jesus Christ. They could have just stood on a hill and bound all the demons in everyone present and once the demons stopped binding the peoples mind, everyone would listen to the gospel of Jesus Christ being preached and all would get saved. No problem, or should we say big problem. This doctrine of Rebecca Browns is very similar to Calvinism in that she implies that you do not have free will, everyone is bound by evil (as they are totally depraved and need to be monergistically given the free gift of faith by God so that they can hear the gospel and then make the right decision and come to Jesus. No, this is wrong, we have free will to choose good over evil, having said that demons can as such oppress / afflict someone to influence their thinking, but for demons to keep a person from hearing the gospel and accepting Jesus is unbiblical.
Demon possessed Christians
Rebecca Brown states in Prepare for War that Christians can be demon possessed. (pg 29) She sites the following verses to substantiate her claims:
- 1 Corinthians 9: 27 “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. “
- Ecclesiastes 10:8. “He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.”
Neither of these verses remotely imply that a Christian can be demon possessed. The first one is about Paul possibly failing and thinking that he should be cast away, the second is about Solomon not breaking the hedge where serpents lie. This is a metaphor, warning that one should not enter carelessly where there is danger. Rebecca Brown does not tell the truth when she quotes these two scriptures saying that they are about Christians being demon possessed. She can’t find biblical poof for her point yet she continues to write about it and proclaim it to be true.
A Christian can’t be demon ‘possessed’ in the same sense that and unbeliever can be demon possessed. A Christian can still be demonically oppressed / afflicted after they are born again and be in need of deliverance.
Rebecca believes also that Christians need regular deliverance in order to remove ongoing affliction in their lives. When a Christian sins, this opens the door for affliction, all one has to do is ask Jesus Christ wholeheartedly for forgiveness and obey God’s commandments and not sin again. When you do not listen to the Holy Spirit’s warning in your life and you go directly against God’s commandments you move away from Jesus Christ, your relationship becomes weaker. Sin drives a wedge between you and Jesus Christ. Forgiveness brings you back to God through Jesus Christ His only Son. Any demonic affliction a Christian lands up with because of habitual sin, is easily removed through prayer to Jesus Christ and asking Him to remove all demonic affliction from you.
13) The fruit
Rebecca Brown’s main area is the so called deliverance ministry of thousands upon thousands of Satanists. She pushes across the idea that because she delivers people from the clutches of Satan that her ministry must be producing good fruit, and therefor it is Godly. However in the bible there is good fruit and there is bad fruit. Bad fruit looks good on the outside but inside it’s rotten. Jehovah’s witnesses, Mormons and Seventh Day Adventists also deliver people out of the occult, help people get off drugs and alcohol and then direct them directly into the false teaching of their churches. The false teachers and their ministries are good at doing just that, they provide a service of so called good fruit and capture the individual into the teachings of their ministry and grab hold of their souls leading them strait in the direction of hell.
Rebecca might be very sincere in her endeavors but she is sincerely wrong. And that has been proven through her false teaching in her book.
- 1 Corinthians 4:6 says that you are “not to go beyond what is written,”
Rebecca Brown does this over and over, and that is the mark of a false teacher.
- 1 Corinthians 4:6 “And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.”
14) Rebecca Brown in South Africa
I heard some very horrifying news yesterday that Rebecca Brown is in South Africa. Right at this very moment at the Cornwall Hill College, Irene, Centurion. She was invited by Yvonne Kruger from Prophetic End Time Ministry / 24-28 March 2010.
Facts about Rebecca Brown and Daniel Yoder:
- Real name: Ruth Bailey.
- Lived in small town Indiana.
- She was a medical doctor who had her license revoked in 1984 due to serious malpractice.
- That means she uses the title of Dr. to mislead people only.
- The licensing board ruled that on numerous occasions she had “knowingly and intentionally misdiagnosed her patients”, blaming their illnesses on “demons, devils, and evil spirits.” Also prescribing illegal dosages of drugs to her patients.
- She befriended a woman by the name of Elaine (Edna Elaine Moses) who claimed to be the bride of Satan.
- Elaine was so influential in her satanic bride status, that she alone used to negotiate all weapons sales to heads of state around the world.
- Rebecca Brown helped Elaine escape from the cult called ‘The Brotherhood’.
- Rebecca Brown and Elaine slept in the same bed since the day the met – to cover up a lesbian relationship Rebecca Brown ‘adopted’ middle-aged Elaine so as to take on Rebecca’s surname.
- Elaine admitted by her own mouth that she is a murderess before and after the fact. She admits to ordering twenty murders, and admits to ordering the murder of a man but her plans were foiled when the police found him unconscious at a Satanic meeting. There was never police investigation.
- She and Elaine delivered over 1000 hard-core satanists from satanism in the short time of 2 years – in her small town, only.
- Rebecca Brown said that in entereting the spirit world; “I saw Jesus get up from His throne and He came down to minister to demons who were being tormented by angels because He felt sorry for them.” Does that mean that Jesus Christ’s death on the cross was for fallen angel as well? Perish the thought.
- She made a covenant with God that included the condition that she would eventually lay her life down for God in that small town in Indiana. That was in the 1980’s.
- She then met Daniel Michael Yoder from Phoenix, Arizona. They were married on the 10th December 1989.
- Rebecca Brown writes in her book Unbroken Curses that Daniel Yoder was born into “a very wealthy Jewish family of international bankers”.
- When he was 6 years old he was sent by his parents to a boarding school in Switzerland. There he endured child abuse and satanic torture, by Cabalist Rabbi’s who once locked him in a tiny chamber and poured spiders over him.
- He remained at this school until the age of 19.
- Rebecca Brown tells in her book that Daniel Yoder inherited the fortunes of the family business and,
- He was forced at the age of 30 to marry a woman by the name of Kai who later found ‘Jesus’.
- She was captured by Daniel’s family and forced to deny Christ otherwise they would kill her.
- Then they were both abducted, flown to Israel where Daniel Yoder was chained to a wall and forced to watch his beloved Kai tortured to death.
- Daniel Yoder miraculously escaped to the USA, hid in a mountain cabin and read Kai’s bible (he must have gone back to Switzerland to fetch it) for a year and found ‘Jesus’ too.
- Rebecca Brown then met Daniel Yoder, married on the December 10, 1989 and moved to Iowa.
- In Iowa, Daniel Yoder passed himself off as a Neurosurgeon.
- They later moved and Daniel Yoder associated himself with the Wells of Living Grace Church.
- Daniel Yoder had 2 other names by which he went by (with different social security numbers and dates of birth):
- William Joseph Stewart
- Tony Michael Griffin
- Daniel Yoder was arrested 29 July 1991, charged with:
- Falsifying motor vehicle registrations,
- Falsifying driver’s licenses, and
- Falsifying Social Security records – taking on the name of a deceased man for himself.
- 2 months later he was indicted on two counts of perjury.
- He lied about time served in Minnesota and Missouri and
- He lied being admitted to receiving “psychological evaluations, counselling, or hospitalisations.”
- During court trials is was established that he had only completed 7 years of schooling.
- Daniel Yoder was fined by the court. He complied.
- New evidence has arisen from a video (see below) by Rebecca Brown where she states that her husband Daniel Yoder was “a 1 star General in the United States Air-force for 30 years.” This is not true. See above for Daniel Yoder’s criminal history.
- Rebecca Brown and Daniel Yoder left Iowa where Brown resumed writing her demonic books.
- They both currently lead a Christian group called Harvest Warriors.
- Rebecca Brown has been widely recognised as a fraud, and her books a hoax.
- Rebecca Brown’s books are nothing but demonic horror stories fabricated by a twisted mind.
MAJOR INVESTIGATION BEGINS
Another detail Rebecca fails to mention is allegations that she abused Elaine. Documents show that she indeed did abuse Elaine. On Oct. 17, 1983, officer Samuel E. Hanna of the Madison County [Indiana] Police received a phone call from a social worker at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. The reason for the call: A woman had been admitted into the hospital whose entire body was covered with lesions. She was incoherent, had received an overdose of drugs and was near death. The patient’s name was Edna Elaine Moses. A preliminary investigation found the prime suspect to be Dr. Ruth Bailey (Rebecca). (68) Officer Hanna, a born-again Christian, was the party responsible for spear heading the major investigation of Rebecca. Several months of investigative work followed which involved the Attorney General’s office, the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration, St. John’s Hospital, the Indiana Medical Licensing Board and others.
Based on the investigation, the Indiana Medical Licensing Board issued an “Emergency Suspension” of Rebecca’s license, which barred her from practicing medicine in Indiana for 90 days.” (69)
More investigation followed, additional affidavits were taken and a “Request For Admissions” by Rebecca was secured. Among other findings, the exploration revealed that Rebecca, in less than six months’ time had issued to four different pharmacies a total of more than 100 prescriptions for Demerol, which authorized purchase of 330 vials of the highly addictive, painkilling drugs. (70)
Following that discovery, the licensing board issued an order filed May 22, 1984, extending Rebecca’s suspension for 90 more days. The order further stated, “That Respondent [Rebecca] continues to represent a clear and immediate danger to the public health and safety if she is allowed to continue to practice medicine, and that the reasons enumerated for the prior order of suspension in this matter have not changed.” (emphasis added) The order further called for Rebecca to “submit to a complete physical and mental examination at the board’s expense.”
By this time, Rebecca had fled Lapel. A copy of the board’s order had to be forwarded to her by certified mail to a post office box in Niles, Mich., where she signed for it on May 29, 1984. The investigation continued and resulted in a hearing in September 1984. The Sept. 21, 1984, edition of the Indianapolis News reported that “She [Rebecca] did not attend the six-hour hearing of her case yesterday, and by law her failure to appear meant the state had proven her guilty by default.” The paper further reported that 19 witnesses gave testimony during the hearing, several of whom “declined to reveal their current addresses, saying they feared retaliation from Dr. Bailey. The physician carries a handgun and has threatened to harm people she claims are possessed, they said.”
The newspaper article went on to report that “Several witnesses said that they saw Dr. Bailey [Rebecca] inject herself, Mrs. Moses [Elaine] and Mrs. Moses’ teen-age daughter with Demerol and morphine. Great quantities of drugs were kept on hand, and the Bailey home was littered with used needles and syringes, witnesses said.” Further, a former live-in housekeeper for Dr. Bailey testified that “the home was ‘filthy’ when she and her daughter moved in. ‘I hauled out 18 bags of trash,’ she said. In the room where Dr. Bailey and Mrs. Moses shared a bed, there were overflowing ashtrays, plates of leftover food and animal feces, she testified. The house was full of demonology books.” [Emphasis added]

A letter by Pastor Charles C. Younts of the Calvary Baptist Missions:
Dear Mr. Daniels:
Having read your letter to Pastor Worley, I felt led of the Lord to respond to it, as least in part. I’m also sending copies of this letter to Rebecca Brown, Jack Chick, Pastor Worley and others I feel might be interested.
Some random comments and questions that do require thought and/or answers:
1. In order to avoid confusion, I will refer to the alleged former witch as Edna. She has gone by Edna Moses, Edna Bailey, Edna Gnost, Elaine Moses…why all of the aliases, I do not know. It could not be from supposedly hiding from former associates in the craft because she is exceptionally easy to track and find, no matter where she is. I refer to Ruth Bailey (alias Rebecca Brown) as just Ruth.
2. Why does Ruth keep the title of Doctor when she was barred from medicine in Indiana? (for prescription boosting) She has not applied in any state to be reinstated. It is a fake title and misleading, and it has been only used by her to establish credibility.
3. To avoid the appearance of evil, why did Edna assume Ruth’s last name? The explanation by Ruth was that she was going to adopt Edna. This is so preposterous and ludicrous…that anyone would make such a comment. Middle age adopts middle age? Why do they sleep in the same bed and have done so almost since they first met? In most of the places they live, there is adequate bedroom space for separate bedrooms or at least separate beds.
Homosexual marriages are not uncommon and it is not uncommon for homosexual lovers to assume the last name of their partner. Add this to sleeping together and the appearance of evil is given. I would say it’s an unhealthy practice for an individual in the ministry of Jesus Christ.
4. The very idea that because an individual ministers for Jesus Christ, he is “of Christ” is anti-Biblical. We know Satan’s messengers come on as “angels of light.” Don’t forget Judas ate with and ministered with all the others for years, and they were totally taken by them. He healed, cast out demons, pointed sinners to Jesus Christ, etc. Yet, we’re told he was of his father, the Devil. Just because someone has won souls to Jesus Christ, such as Marjoe Gortnor, they are not necessarily of Christ.
5. One can only be judged on what they say and do by a singular standard–the only one on earth to tell the truth from the lie is the Bible. The Holy Spirit who inspired it will never go against it. Many of the statements of the two women are so far removed from the Biblethat they must be looked at with great suspicion.
6. Why do neither of the women attend a fundamental church?
7. Having spoken with Edna personally, she told me, and I have it on tape, “I was crazy for believing the New Testament.”
8. Edna also admitted on the same tape that Ruth lost her license to practice medicine in Indiana for writing illegal prescriptions.
9. Ruth states on tape that the one thing that is absolutely necessary in the ministry to witches is to get them out of the spiritual world-where they can see things ordinary humans cannot. If so, why does she herself enter into this world frequently? Furthermore, what she “sees” is diametrically opposed to the Word of God. She made the following statement in the presence of witnesses:
“I saw Jesus get up from His throne and He came down to minister to demons (that’s blasphemous) who were being tormented by angels (since when?) because He felt sorry for them.”
Obviously, anyone making that statement does not know the Bible, is having delusions, or is trying to impress someone.
Just for the things I’ve stated at this point, alone, I would not believe anything these women have to say, but there’s much more—found in the tapes they put out, and that piece of garbage they call a book.
The two women made three sets of tapes before they put one of the sets on the market. The first set contradicts the second; and the second contradicts the third and the first; and the third set contradicts much of the first and second sets. I’ll not go deeply into it at this time. The market tape is full of the questionable, the impossible, and that which cannot be substantiated. Most pastors I know who have listened to the two tapes—men in the ministries for several years—can survive only one half hour before turning them off.
Most have labeled these women as bogus, still in the occult, trying to infiltrate a solid fundamental organization and ruin it or simply two adventuresome women trying to make a name for themselves. And still others think it’s done for notoriety or even possibly they’re mentally ill. Their credibility could be greatly added to if they would answer a multitude of questions. Instead, they give stupid reasons why they can’t and also state that God told them not to answer.
Let’s just start with the tapes. Edna labeled herself by her own mouth to be a murderess before and after the fact. She admits to ordering twenty murders, then admits to ordering the attempted murder of a man whose name must be known as he was admitted to the Indiana hospital when the police found him unconscious at a Satanic meeting. Ruth says she didn’t know what had happened to him because the police let go the only person who survived a ritualistic murder—-the worst case Ruth had seen in her time at the emergency room of a person being semi-butchered. I can tell you a cop or an attorney would have a field day with that. Murder, by the way, has no statute of limitations, and there was no police investigation.
Let’s look at Edna a moment if we dare. Have you ever noticed—when the questions start to get tight, she says, “Father told me not to say anything.” “Father?” Which Father? He’s never referred to in such a way by anyone in the Bible. He’s referred to as “the Father,” “My Father,” “Our Father,” and “Heavenly Father.” The singular word “Father” sounds like a familiar spirit.
Here is a witch, Edna, who has met governors, congressmen, chiefs of police across the United States who engage in witchcraft. She’s not referring to seances, tara cards, but to baby killing, derelict murders, narcotics killings, sex orgies with both men and women. Now, it is her responsibility to point out, name, and expose these sources of evil, but we find now that God the Father goes against His Own Word and says not to expose anyone. Edna is supposedly involved in international “gun-running.”
How does Edna, the bride of Satan, top witch in the United States (maybe even in the whole world) manages to get out of most of the killing rituals? The tapes and the book could be taken apart piece by piece and refuted by the Bible, not to mention wisdom and plain common sense.
Just what I have stated up to this point alone would be sufficient reason not to take these women seriously. The finest Federal Investigative agencies are not interested about anything these women say. The DIA on the narcotics; the BATF on weapons; the FBI on interstate murders; the CIA on international covert deals, have no interest uniquely when these things are openly declared. If, for example, I would have said on a national tape that I’ve sold narcotics, international arms, murdered and knew people involved, every investigator in the United States would immediately run a background check on me before coming to me to elaborate on these points. If they discover within their investigation, I was a “loonie tune,” they would proceed no further. If they believe there was an iota of truth, I’d be answering questions of lots of people.
Let the Lord be the judge! I’ve been able to meet both of the women. I’ve seen where they live and where they have lived. I’ve read material regarding their past. I even read the tract that the two put out regarding the girl in a church in witchcraft: how Edna spotted her, and how Edna forgot to tell the girl (after repenting) the Biblical way to get saved.
The young in Christ, the uninitiated, those intrigued by the spectacular, and those who believe in the “bump in the night” evil, find the two women interesting. Most pastors never invite them back a second time. Needless to say, much more is to be said, as a great deal of time has been spent by many looking into the backgrounds as well as the story they put out. The tapes and the book speak for themselves.
It’s my understanding that an attorney for the two has been brought into the picture. I was so ordered by what I believe to be a Christian attorney in Los Angeles supposedly representing the two women, to cease and desist in any comments regarding them. My reply to the attorney was lengthy and strong and I stated I’d be more than happy to go to court on the matter. Interesting questions would be brought up and I’d love to hear the answers.
It is my hope that a law suit is coming up for me or to another laboring in the Lord. As an appeal to Caesar would bring out the truth and all foolishness would be put to an end in quick order.
Sincerely in Christ

Right, there is no rocket science involved here people. Her medical and personal track record speaks for itself. She does not expose satanism, she promotes it. Her books are filled to the brim with horror and gore from one satanic ritual after another. Her books appeal to the minds of those who seek horror stories instead of Jesus Christ.
If you have been to see this woman in Centurion, I pray you ask Jesus to forgive you for going to see this woman. Tell Jesus you are sorry for even thinking this woman is a Christian and ask Him to show you now and going forward the lies and deception disguised under the name of Rebecca Brown Yoder (and there are many others like her out there, she is not the only one; Mary K Baxter is another). Throw away anything you brought back with you and ask Jesus to remove anything that most likely tried to attach itself to you.
If you are seeking deliverance in your life, here is what you do. And I am not even charging you R50 – this is free, glorious free gospel of Salvation.
If you are EARNESTLY seeking Jesus Christ and deliverance then:
- Start obeying God and start repenting of the sin in your life.
- If you want Satan out of your life, then show Jesus that you are willing to come before Him in earnest and ask forgiveness for your sinful life. Go into the privacy of your own room and pray. Make a list of your sins and name them one by one if you have too and show Jesus Christ how sincere you are. When the Holy Spirit convicts you on certain issues in your life, listen! People it’s all about repentance.
Do you want to be saved? Only Jesus Christ can do that! I can tell you what to say to help you, but it is what is in your heart that counts. Are you looking for a quick fix to your current unhappy situation or are you sincerely seeking Jesus Christ the Son of God for a permanent 2 sided relationship. Diligently seeking Him now means you will still want to be diligently seeking Him in 20 years time…until the day you die.
DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM
Hebrews 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Your just a big plain liar.Jesus has given the power to all who believe in Him to cast out demons and heal the sick.if i was unsure before, now i know you are a liar.Because k am sure that you just as well as I also know this. That the disciples caught someone casting out demons in Jesus name and they stopped him.they told this to Jesus but Jesus told them not to do that again because he was with Jesus by virtue of doing what he did.Or have you also forggotten that the disciples themselves tried to cast out a demon from a possessd boy but the could not. Then Jesus came and casted out the demon. And they asked,”Lord, why wer’nt we able to cast it out?”And then Jesus said to them,”because you did not believe”Get it?And these signs shall follow them who BELIEVE.Not “a just only a few apostles whom He chose specially”You are a liar and a deciever following the steps the one who is the father of a lies.telling lies upon lies unto this generation. There is a spiritual battle going on and be you rest assurred, you will loose.saying put on the armour of God yourself.well that is true.but know this,no man can ever successfully do this unless God helps him.true.we should put it on consciously and also make a real effort to put on Gods armour in our lives.but we have to pray to God to help us do it too.or have you forggotten the words that will never pass away,”NOT BY POWER,NOT BY MIGHT,BUT BY MY SPIRIT SAYETH THE LORD GOD OF HOSTS”?????????????????????????????
Dear Andrew
Did you read the article properly? I somehow don’t think so.
Let me explain this to you because you clearly don’t understand.
Mark 9:38-40
38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
The disciples were walking along and they came across a man casting out a demon, the man was not part of the disciples group. They told him to stop because they believed that only they could cast out demons. Jesus told them that they must not stop him for casting out the demon because the man was truly a believer and his faith in Jesus was so strong that he could use Jesus’ name and the demon would flee. Although the disciples did not know this man, Jesus knew him and said that he was part of the them and next time they need to be more careful as anyone performing a miracle in Jesus’ name at that time was truly born again. No body could speak evil of Jesus Christ during that time and then go produce miracles. Unlike today where there are a billion and one false teachers preaching false gospels and abusing the name of Jesus producing false signs and wonders.
The Apostles, disciples and other believers who believed in Jesus could perform miracles, it was called the sign of the Apostle, but these miracles ceased. We now believe by faith. If we want healing you now go directly to Jesus Christ for you healing in prayer, if you want a miracle you now go directly to Jesus Christ for you miracle in prayer. And just to add that you of course can have others pray for you for healing, that is of course if they are genuine believers. But do they have the power to heal and raise people from the dead? No.
Do you have a problem with this? Going directly to Jesus Christ in prayer for healing etc?
Secondly, OF COURSE you pray and ask God to help you, I never said you don’t, it’s common sense that you would. I said you do not pray for pieces of the armour of God like its some sort of magical armour like Rebecca Brown does.
[deleted – clearly you have an issue going straight to Jesus Christ for healing, deliverance from demons and prefer to go to false teachers, now please go elsewhere and spew your nonsense and while you are at it, please find just one person who has been raised from the dead and post your findings here with proof (that excludes the ones from the bible): Have You or a Loved One Been Raised From the Dead?]
thank you Deborah! at long last someone published the truth about this woman and her stuff. Many of the “deliverance movements” practice the same stuff. They all make people free from the law by putting them under new human things that bind them again (new laws = still under the / a law!)
thank you again. always praying for you
ciel
Thank you C – love you lots!
Speaking from experience, YES, DEMONS CAN MANIFEST PHYSICALLY, AND YES, YOU CAN TOUCH THEM. I experienced this for myself almost 5.5yrs ago. I was deeply living in a pit of sin most of my life, and it all came to a head in 2009. I had to be exorcized three times, and finally was completely delivered. I give all honor and praise and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ for healing me from a reprobate mind, and so many other things. I NEVER claim to be the things this ‘Brown’ woman does; but I do share that I did see a demon manifest in the physical realm. It appeared as a dark figure, in human form, and rose from the floor of my bedroom. However, it did not stay for more than two minutes. I also want to make clear that the exorcisms were demons that had possessed me. I have always been tormented in my sleep, since childhood, but during this time of my life the manifestations where increasing and became extremely aggressive. After a time of feeling it touch me all over my body, I kept begging for it to leave me alone; (keep in mind now that at this time in my life, I DID NOT belong to Christ; I had given my soul over the satan, without really ‘knowing’ what I had done, until it became so unbearable and frightening I HAD to turn to God…HE WAS THE ONLY WAY FOR ME TO BE SAVED! And He DID save me!) during the begging I was sobbing uncontrollably, reaching my hands in the air, and that is when I PHYSICALLY touched something. I KNOW it was the demon. Nothing hanging over my bed ect…I am not sticking up for this false prophet in any way, don’t get me wrong. But I did want to clarify that DEMONS ARE REAL. I also wanted to tell you that YOU are right in what you said…that, “First you communicate with the ones you can’t see and as you become more skilled in your witchcraft they presented themselves to you in physical form?” YES, THAT IS EXACTLY TRUE and how it happens!
Dear N Rosej
>> It appeared as a dark figure, in human form, and rose from the floor of my bedroom.
I totally understand what you are saying, however, it was not physical it was in another dimension (space and time) that you saw this being enter our dimension. It does not have flesh and blood like us. You touched something, absolutely, but it was not a physical being like you and me.
In the book Elaine speaks about a covern mass that would take place through the country at the roughly the same time. She said that because Satan is not omnpresent he could not appear at all the covern masses at the same time, so each mass had to take place at slightly different times so he could show up in person at each one. She said he would walk onto the stage as if he was an actual person of flesh and blood. She said Satan appeared in human form dressed in white, they had a gold throne for him to sit on. (pg. 72, 73) She again states in another part of the book that she was alone at home one day and four demons appeared in a physical form, their bodies had black scales on them (pg. 75)
The bible says Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
If Satan had his own fleshly body he would not need to possesses the anti-Christ during the Tribulation, he would have shown up in person a long time ago.
Can you just give one instance,i mean one instance in the bible where it was stated,or even implied that casting out of demons and raising of the dead ended with the apostles?????
Dear Gareth
The office of Prophet and Apostle was temporary…and only necessary for the church before the completion of the Bible. The actual foundation of the church was built UPON the Prophets and Apostles (with Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone).
Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,20 having been built ON THE FOUNDATION of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
Notice the word ‘been’, as in past tense.
Please find someone who has been raised from the dead and post your ‘genuine proof’ here (excluding the bible): Have You or a Loved One Been Raised From the Dead?]
Dear Gareth
Please read the below and understand what is meant by an Apostle. Anyone who says they are an apostle today is not telling the truth.
Are There Modern-Day Apostles?
by Dave Miller, Ph.D.
The incredible diversity of viewpoint that exists in religion today is startling and disconcerting. We are witnessing a breakdown of respect for authority in American culture, as well as a tremendous increase in personal opinion and feelings as the standard of authority. Consequently, we now have a veritable smorgasbord of doctrinal variety in religion. Such is the nature of pluralism. One is likely to see anything and everything perpetrated in the name of religion and/or Christianity. The only solution to such a situation is to reaffirm the inspiration and authority of the Bible. The Bible is the only written document on this planet that is the standard of authority in life and in religion (see Miller, 1996, pp. 430-446,462-471).
THE DEFINITION OF AN APOSTLE
Such being the case, we must go to the Bible to determine God’s will with regard to modern-day apostles. When we do so, we first learn that the word “apostle” comes from the Greek word apostolos, which means “one sent from or forth, a messenger, delegate” (Arndt and Gingrich, 1957, p. 99; Thayer, 1901, p. 68). The term is used in the New Testament in two distinct senses. It can refer to an individual who is sent by other humans to accomplish a particular mission or task. The term is so used to refer, for example, to Barnabas (Acts 14:14). He was an “apostle” in the sense that he accompanied Paul on an evangelistic trip. Jesus is said to be our “Apostle” in the sense that He was sent to atone for our sins (Hebrews 3:1).
The term “apostle” also is used in a second sense—what we might call an official sense. That is, “apostle” can refer to individuals who were officially and divinely selected to serve as Jesus’ original representatives—“ambassadors” (2 Corinthians 5:20). Jesus handpicked the original twelve apostles (Matthew 10:1-5; Mark 3:13-19; Luke 6:12-16; 9:1-2). Of these original twelve, Judas betrayed the Lord as predicted by the Old Testament (Psalm 41:9; John 13:18-19; 18:1-5). Instead of repenting, he cinched his apostasy by committing suicide (Matthew 27:3-5; John 17:12). Consequently, a successor to Judas was selected by divine decree (Acts 1:16-26).
Only one other apostle in the official sense is alluded to in the New Testament—Paul. His appointment to apostleship was unique and unparalleled in that he was chosen for a specific first century task (Acts 9:15; 22:14-15; 26:16-18; 1 Corinthians 15:8-9; Galatians 1:11-12,15-16). Christ selected him to introduce the message of Christianity to the Gentile world (Romans 11:13; 15:16; Galatians 2:8; Ephesians 3:8). Paul was careful to document the fact that his apostleship was by divine appointment (e.g., Romans 1:5; 1 Corinthians 1:1; Galatians 1:1,16).
THE QUALIFICATIONS OF AN APOSTLE
When one assembles all the relevant New Testament data, at least three qualifications emerge as prerequisite to one becoming an apostle in the official sense (Hayden, 1894, p. 33, expands these credentials to seven in number). First, an apostle had to have seen the Lord and been an eyewitness of Christ’s resurrection (Acts 1:22; 22:14; 1 Corinthians 9:1). Second, an apostle had to be specifically selected by the Lord or the Holy Spirit (Matthew 10:5; Mark 3:13-14; Luke 6:13; Acts 1:26; 9:15; 22:14-15,21; 26:16). Third, an apostle was invested with miraculous power to the extent that he could perform miracles. The power to perform miracles included the capability to confer the ability to work miracles to other individuals through the laying on of his hands (Mark 3:15; 16:17-20; Luke 9:1-2; John 14:12,26; 15:24-27; 16:13; Acts 2:43; 4:29-31,33; 5:12,15-16; 6:6; 8:14-18; 19:6; 2 Timothy 1:6; Romans 1:11; Hebrews 2:3-4). Jesus referred to His bestowal of miraculous capability upon the apostles when He promised they would be “endued with power from on high” (Luke 24:49).
THE WORK OF AN APOSTLE
The apostolic office was unquestionably a temporary office for the early church (though apostolic appointment was for life). Its essential purpose was twofold. First, apostles were commissioned by Jesus to launch the Christian religion (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Luke 24:46-48). This purpose was achieved by means of the initial presentation of the Gospel to the whole world (Colossians 1:23), and the establishment of the church of Christ (Acts 2). Second, apostles were largely responsible for making the New Testament available—first in oral form and, more specifically, in written form (1 Corinthians 14:37; Galatians 1:12; Ephesians 3:3-4; 1 Thessalonians 5:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:15; 3:14; 1 Peter 1:12; 2 Peter 1:12-21; 3:15-16).
These two central tasks are set forth clearly in the New Testament. In Matthew 16, Jesus declared that He would build His church after His resurrection from hades (vs. 18). He then explained that it would be the apostles who would instigate initial entrance into Christ’s church (hence the significance of “keys”—vs. 19). This commencement of the Christian religion and the church of Christ would be achieved by means of the apostles “binding” and “loosing” the doctrinal tenets and principles of Christianity that Heaven had previously bound or loosed [the Greek uses the perfect passive and should be translated “will have been bound/loosed in Heaven” as in the NASB (cf. Matthew 18:18-20; John 20:22-23)]. Peter and the apostles articulated the terms of entrance into the kingdom of Christ for the first time on the Pentecost that followed Christ’s resurrection (Acts 2:14ff.).
In Ephesians 4, after summarizing Christianity in terms of seven core concepts (vss. 1-6), Paul described the initial sequence of events that recounted the advent of Christianity (vss. 7-16). Paul noted that: (1) after His crucifixion, Jesus descended into the Hadean realm; (2) He then was resurrected; (3) He ascended back to Heaven; (4) upon His ascension, He dispensed gifts; (5) the apostolic office was included in the reception of these miraculous capabilities; (6) the purpose of these gifts was to equip and edify the church; (7) the preparation provided to the infant church by these gifts was temporary (“till” is an adverb of time connoting when the miraculous gifts were to terminate), in that the same preparation soon would be available through the completed revelation, i.e., “the faith.” [By “completed revelation” we do not mean completed canon. We mean that all of God’s communication to humanity would have been revealed. See the New Testament discussion contrasting “mystery” with “made known” (Romans 16:25-26; 1 Corinthians 2:7-10; Ephesians 3:1-11). In the meantime, the process of producing copies of the various New Testament documents and circulating them far and wide would have been occurring rapidly and extensively from the very moment of their production by the inspired writers (cf. Colossians 4:16, 1 Timothy 5:18, where Luke 10:7 is already known and classified as “Scripture,” and 2 Peter 3:15-16, where Paul’s epistles are already circulated and recognized as “Scriptures”). Further, the reference to “the faith” in Ephesians 4:13 cannot refer to a time when all people or all Christians will achieve unity in faith. Such a circumstance will never occur. Paul was referring to the time when all people would have access to all of God’s communication to man, thus giving them the potential for attaining spiritual maturity (“a perfect man” vs. “children“). See Miller, 2003].
Once all of the information necessary to the promotion of the Christian religion was revealed to the early church (through oral means made possible by the distribution of the gifts), the church would have the means available to grow and mature in Christ (cf. 1 Corinthians 13:8-13). While prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers [the words “pastors and teachers” share the same article in the Greek, and so should likely be construed to mean “pastor-teachers,” i.e., a single function in which pastors (those selected by the local congregation to serve as elders or shepherds) were endowed with the miraculous ability to teach inspired information not yet made available in written form] were part of this early development of Christianity (Ephesians 4:11), the office of an apostle was the primary means by which Christ accomplished the inauguration of His religion.
The apostles had the sole responsibility of executing the will of the Son of God in founding, organizing, and fully equipping the church of Christ on Earth, that she might fulfill her heaven-borne mission, until Jesus comes again (Hayden, p. 22). That is why Paul could say two chapters earlier that the household of God (i.e., the church) was built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets (Ephesians 2:20; cf. 3:5; Revelation 21:14). That is why he informed the Corinthian Christians:
God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? (1 Corinthians 12:28-30).
The apostles are said to be “first” in the significance and criticality of their divinely appointed role. The apostles specifically described their unique role in the early church as entailing giving themselves to “the word of God” and “the ministry of the word” (Acts 6:2,4).
THE DURATION OF AN APOSTLE
Once the church of Christ was established and Christianity was given its initial presentation (cf. Colossians 1:23), the apostolic office faded from the scene along with the age of miracles. As an eyewitness of Christ’s resurrection, Paul referred to himself in relation to the other apostles as “last of all” (1 Corinthians 15:8). Neither apostles nor miraculous gifts was needed any longer. They had served their temporary purpose (Mark 16:20; Acts 4:29-31; 13:12; 14:3; Romans 15:18-19; Hebrews 2:3-4; cf. Exodus 4:30). Miraculous gifts functioned as scaffolding while the church was under initial construction, and were removed once the structure had been completed (1 Corinthians 3:10; 13:11; Ephesians 4:13-14). The book we call the Bible is the totality of God’s written revelation to the human race. Consequently, people now have access to everything they need (2 Peter 1:3) to enter into a right relationship with God via Christianity and the church of Christ. The apostles “had no official successors. From the nature of their duties, there could be no succession” (Hayden, pp. 20-21). Apostles, quite simply, are no longer needed!
NO APOSTLES TODAY
Unfortunately, several groups that claim affiliation with the Christian religion allege to have apostles among them, including Catholicism, Mormonism, and some pentecostal groups. This claim is unbiblical. No person living today can meet the qualifications given in Scripture for being an apostle. No one living today has been an eyewitness of Christ’s resurrection. Christ has selected no one living today for the apostolic role. No one living today possesses the miraculous capabilities of an apostle. We should not be surprised that people would falsely claim to be apostles. Jesus warned that false prophets would come in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they would be ravening wolves (Matthew 7:15). Paul described some of his opponents in these words:
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).
Further warning was issued to the Galatian churches: “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8). Anyone claiming to be an apostle today who teaches anything in addition to the New Testament is clearly not an apostle of Christ!
Peter added his voice on the same subject: “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction” (2 Peter 2:1). No wonder John admonished: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1; cf. Matthew 24:11,24). In the Revelation, the church at Ephesus was commended because they “tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars” (Revelation 2:2).
Catholicism maintains that Peter was the supreme bishop, even over the other apostles, and that every pope since Peter is an apostolic successor to Peter. The pope is selected after literally hours and days of deliberation by cardinals in the Vatican. The only apostle in the Bible that was not handpicked by Christ in person was Matthias. Yet he was not selected by mere men deliberating and debating his potential. He was selected by the casting of lots—which was simply another way for Jesus to do the selecting (Acts 1:26; cf. Proverbs 16:33).
It is incredible to think that any human beings living today would presume to appoint apostles. In pinpointing the credentials of an apostle, Luke (Acts 1) made it abundantly evident that to qualify as an apostle a person would have to have seen the Lord and been an eyewitness of His resurrection. That is why Paul was careful to state: “Am I not an apostle? …Have I not seen the Lord?” (1 Corinthians 9:1, emp. added). In recounting his conversion, he quoted Ananias as having said, “The God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know His will, and see the Just One, and hear the voice of His mouth. For you will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard” (Acts 22:14-15, emp. added). What alleged modern-day apostle could make such a claim?
The New Testament also makes clear the fact that an essential characteristic of an apostle was that he had been selected by Deity. When Jesus was on Earth, He handpicked the first twelve apostles. After His departure from Earth, the disciples cast lots to select a successor to Judas. Their method allowed no input from mere humans—except in the recognition that two men possessed all the qualifications necessary to be an apostle. Casting lots allowed God to do the selecting. Divine control in the selection process by casting lots was common in Old Testament history (see Leviticus 16:8; Numbers 26:55; 33:54; 34:13; Joshua 14:2; 18:6,10; 19:51; cf. Acts 13:19; 1 Samuel 14:42; Nehemiah 10:34; Psalm 16:5). Solomon claimed: “The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord” (Proverbs 16:33). Indeed, Peter’s prayer on the occasion shows that the decision already had been made by the Lord before the actual casting of lots: “…show which of these two You have chosen” (Acts 1:24, emp. added). The summary statement regarding Matthias—“he was numbered with the eleven apostles” (Acts 1:26; cf. Matthew 28:16; Mark 16:14; Luke 24:33)—gives way to a return to the expression “the twelve” (Acts 6:2; cf. Acts 2:14). The text states: “You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen to take part in this ministry and apostleship” (Acts 1:24-25). Paul also was handpicked by Jesus—to be a “chosen vessel” (Acts 9:15). No human being on Earth today can claim he has been personally singled out and chosen by Jesus to be an apostle.
A third proof that no apostles exist on Earth today is the fact that New Testament apostles were empowered by God—not only to perform miracles—but also to convey miraculous power to other people who then could work miracles themselves. This characteristic is demonstrated in detailed fashion in Acts: “Now when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money” (Acts 8:18). The issue of modern-day apostles may be settled very quickly! To authenticate their claim to be apostles, they must be able both to perform miracles as well as confer miraculous power to others. The apostles of Jesus in the New Testament demonstrated their apostolic status without hesitation. Anyone today who claims to be an apostle should be willing to do the same. No such ability exists today.
ORIGINAL APOSTLES WERE SUFFICIENT
A fascinating passage in the New Testament sheds further light upon this notion of modern-day apostles. That passage is Matthew 19:28. There Jesus informed Peter and the other apostles: “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” A related passage is Luke 22:29-30 which says, “And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as my Father bestowed one upon Me, that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
These verses are Christ’s figurative declarations describing the role of the twelve apostles in the establishment of the church and the dissemination of the gospel proclamation (cf. Bales, 1957, pp. 187-223). The “regeneration” refers to the Christian era, which began at Pentecost, during which time spiritual regeneration became possible through the blood of Christ (Titus 3:5). It is an equivalent expression with the “time of reformation” (Hebrews 9:10). The throne of Christ’s glory refers to His present location at the right hand of God (Acts 2:34-36; Ephesians 1:20; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:13; 8:1; 10:12-13). The “judging” done by the apostles refers to the rule that the apostles exerted while they were on Earth, setting in place the features of New Testament Christianity (Matthew 16:19; John 20:22-23). The “twelve thrones” refers to their complete authority from Christ to implement Christ’s will until the end of time—which they presently do today through their authoritative writings—found only in the New Testament. The “twelve tribes” is a figurative way to refer to the church—the spiritual Israel (Galatians 6:16; James 1:1; cf. Romans 2:28-30; Galatians 3:29).
Neither Christ nor the original apostles needs successors or representatives on Earth today. They continue to rule and reign over the kingdom through the work that they achieved in the first century, and that is preserved for all in the New Testament. Christ is now on His throne ruling and reigning. The apostles also are on the thrones assigned to them by Christ. To suggest that the apostles have modern-day successors is to discount and discredit the current rule of the apostles. Neither Christ nor the apostles has abdicated their authority or their current rule to any humans on Earth.
Additionally, the fact that Jesus declared that all twelve apostles would occupy thrones in the kingdom proves that Peter had no greater authority than the other apostles. The apostles were equal in their reception and wielding of the authority delegated to them by Christ. Yet the Catholic Church claims that the immediate successors to Peter were Linus (from A.D. 67 to 79), Cletus (from A.D. 79 to 91) and Clement (from A.D. 91 to 100). They agree that the apostle John would have still been alive throughout this period (see G.C. Brewer’s discussion as quoted in Bales, pp. 208-210). The doctrine of the primacy of Peter means that the first three of the alleged successors of Peter would have exercised authority over the still-living apostle John—who had been handpicked by Christ Himself! The very John whom Jesus placed on one of the twelve thrones would have been under the authority, knowledge, and power of three popes who had not been selected to be among the original Twelve! (see also Hayden, pp. 22-33). Hayden aptly summarized the New Testament position regarding modern-day apostles:
The thirteen apostles chosen, ordained and endowed by the newly crowned Messiah faithfully and fully executed their commission. When they entered into everlasting rest, the church was established, with all needful ministries to edify, extend and perpetuate it throughout all coming centuries. Then the extraordinary, which was necessary to found a new institution, was succeeded by the ordinary, which is sufficient to teach, regulate and govern the subjects of Christ’s kingdom according to the laws that went forth from Jerusalem. The revelation of God was completed. The word of faith is henceforth nigh every believer, even in his mouth and in his heart. The apostolic office ceased, and evangelists and pastors became the permanent teachers and superintendents of the church (pp. 33-34).

Gareth,
I would also add one more Scripture, please read Hebrews 1.1-2.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets. Hath in these last days spoke unto us by His Son….”
We read of the powerful past tense in the first verse, and now after the F I N I S H E D work of the cross, God “Hath spoken unto us by His Son,…” We have all we need contained in His Word. The problem with the Pentecostal Charismaniacs is that they believe in on-going revelation (among much else), with that being the case, why do they need the Bible, if God is updating them all the time?
I havE noticed how u, deborah, attacks and attempts to discredit all d true ministers of God. This is appaling and u are the satanist! U claim no one has d power to perform miracles. So what was Jesus saying when he said “these signs shall folow THEM that believe(not apostles)…..”. Wha does the scripture “behold I give unto u power..” Mean. Also, whaT about “WHOSOEVER believes, has been given d powe to become sons of God”. U clearly lack understanding of the scriptures and then run around accusing everyone u see as an occultist. Bbt God is not a fool. One day He’ll xpose All ur evil works so all those u fooled will know who you really are.u claim God has never sent an aangel to destroy yet u wickedly choose to xclude d scriptures in d book of samuel where God sent His own angel to destroy d isrealites wit a plague until he reached d threshold of araunah bcos David numbered d people. I dnt habe time to cut through all ur lies. I’ll only advice people to read their bible well b4 coming out to xpose their ignorance!
Dear moriah
No dear Moriah, I do not attack TRUE ministers of God. I expose the wolves that come into the church dressed as sheep who preach another gospel, another Jesus and another spirit. Rebecca Brown is one of those WOLVES. If you don’t want to see the truth after I explained to you in the article her false doctrine then I feel sorry for you. I pray you listen to the Holy Spirit warning you, and your eyes are opened to the truth.
Deborah, read these few verses
Matthew 17:20
Mark 16:17
Luke 10:19
With God nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37), be it healing and driving our demons, nothing is impossible with God.
The only thing that comes to my mind first is that the purpose of your blog is to lead believers into sinning (such as incite an argument and cause disbelief). Read 2nd Corinthians 10:4-6
You label Dr. Brown as a false prophet and even say that say that she is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, yet the bible says do not judge. Also read Matthew 7:1-5. As Jesus said, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye (Matthew 7:5).

Healing the sick and driving out demons means absolutely nothing. It can even be your downfall and your ticket to hell.
Even Judas healed the sick and drove out demons. Is he in heaven? Perish the thought.
May I ask you: Does Christ know YOU or is He going to say to YOU, “I never knew YOU?” Are you saved? Healing the sick and casting out demons isn’t going to help you one single whit to get you to heaven.
Paul labeled many people as false prophets and he even named their names. It’s your duty to warn others against false prophets. If you don’t, you are disobeying Jesus Christ who said “Take heed that no one deceives you.” (Matthew 24:4). Do you like being deceived? I suppose you do because God says,
Mathew 17:20. Have you ever moved a mountain and cast it into the sea? If not, then you don’t have much of a faith as big as a mustard seed.
Mark 16:17. The next verse 18 says they shall take up serpents. Have you picked up a few black South African adders or a few deadly poisonous American rattle snakes in your hands yet? You cannot do all the other things and not this one. You must do them all to be genuine. If not, then you don’t have much of a faith as big as a mustard seed.
Luke 10:19. The fact that you have been deceived by Rebecca Brown proves that you have already been hurt by the devil and his angels. You are not treading on the devil and his angels; They are treading on you and being devoured by the roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8). At any rate, you are doing exactly the opposite to what Jesus said: “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. (Luke 10:20). You are rejoicing in all the wrong things. Once again I must ask you – Is you name written in heaven?
bn wrote:
The Bible says if you do not judge, you are not a mature Christian.
Matthew 7:1-5 does NOT mean that Christians aren’t allowed to judge. It simply means that you cannot judge others of something while you yourself are doing those very same things. For instance, we cannot judge anyone for hanging on Rebecca Brown’s lips while we ourselves may have placed her on a pedestal and lap up everything she wrote and taught. We can only judge you or her righteously when we do not do the things you are doing. I can assure you, we have always been totally anti Rebecca Brown and her teaching. Therefore, we have never had the Rebecca Brown beam in our own eyes and therefore we are – according to Scripture – allowed to judge you and her righteously and to warn you to remove the Rebecca Brown mote out of your eyes. We urge you to do that before you slither down deeper into Rebecca Brown’s apostasy.
Since I was little I seen, jesus, angles, devil, and demons, all the time. Nightmares then I will see Jesus in my dream confused me. Will here voices in my head every single day. I see things on people demons or a light. Before I got saved satan was trying to take me away from Jesus now I am saved I see more and have experience so much. And what i experience with Jesus and Satan the books are true. IF YOU OR ANYONE ARE TRUE FOLLOWER OF CHRIST YOU WILL SEE WHAT JESUS DOES AND WHAT SATAN DOES AS A COUNTERFEIT. JESUS HAD DISCIPLES YOU WILL DO MIGHTY WORKS THEN I JESUS NEEDS PEOPLE TO BRING THE PEOPLE BACK TO JESUS WHAT DOES SATAN DO THE SAME, THINK ABOUT IT HARD AND CLEAR WRITE IT ON PIECE OF PAPER WHAT JESUS AND ANGELS DO FROM THE COUNTERFEIT OF THE ENEMY. NOW IF THIS DOESN’T OPEN TO YOU OR RECEIVE JESUS TRUTH THEN WHERE IS YOUR FAITH. FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD. Its the discerning and receiving from the Lord. We ALL in are lifes walk different paths with Jesus or with satan. We make the choice who we want to serve wanna serve satan you will become a puppet serve Jesus you will be set free. Rebecca brown taught me a lot about spiritual warefare she is true. And Deborah and people talk smack about people is something gotta be careful about when they talk smack. When you see a person in sheep clothing but inside a wolf inside they gossip, seperate Devil gets mad when people EXPOSE the truth. The real true followers OF JESUS CHRIST will not talk smack and pointing fingers at others, but they will pray, discern from what is wrong and right, and most off all pray against what the enemy is doing to deceive those people. This is a battle and hope we get are eyes open. Cause I am tired of people smacking and pointing fingers, when i see that people do that then the one that is pointing fingers at GOTTA be watchful about. There is a battle out there. And if you don’t understand what Rebecca brown or alot of these people come out of then you are living a lie. Cause there is so much stuff out there the enemy, satan, serpent, the demons don’t want us to know they don’t want the evil to be expose, but hey hey hey JESUS Christ will always win. I know satanist, witch craft, witches, all this stuff wanna go against the truth and not show the light in the darkness but hey darkness will never hide the light willl approach and some day and sometime it will come to the service. THe ones that get out of this stuff, DON’T BE AFRAID TO TELL YOUR EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN WE ALL NEED TO HEAR MORE THE TRUTH AND LET THE DARKNESS COME TO LIGHT. AMEN GOD ALMIGHTY, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS…..
Rebecca Brown has written very deep truths.
Holiness and righteousness are part of what she wrote about.
She has been attacked everywhere, on the internet etc……
May God protect her for exposing the truth about satan and his kingdom.
The same people that have written negatively about Dr. Brown are the same people who have written negatively about Watchman Nee.
I have seen the blind healed and sight restored, the deaf hear, the dumb speak and the crippled walk.
People should repent and stop speaking evil about anointed servants of GOD.
Peace.
Phil,
Why do you prefer to follow the teaching of a person who tells lies to her readers when the right thing to do is to follow Jesus Christ?

You said, “Since I was little I seen, jesus, angles, devil, and demons, all the time. Nightmares then I will see Jesus in my dream confused me. Will here voices in my head every single day. I see things on people demons or a light. Before I got saved satan was trying to take me away from Jesus now I am saved I see more and have experience so much.”
So what you are saying is that before your were saved (an unbeliever) you saw Jesus, angels, devils and demons and then after you apparently got saved these things intensified? Do you not see what you have done. Did you repent to Jesus Christ and ask for deliverance from these things that were ailing you before you were saved, an unbeliever? No you didn’t. Now you follow a FALSE JESUS (who is none other than Satan), a false gospel (a False Christianity) and now you see even more and experience even more. Please read the following article that DTW-WAP has setup for ones just like yourself that need deliverance. https://www.discerningtheworld.com/seeking-deliverance/ I pray you read it and realise that your ‘experiences’ are not from Jesus. Never were.
Hey Peter nice to meet you. We all have discerning differently some used it some don’t from the Lord he brings us different things in are life what we experience and what we been through. What you wrote from the beginning is that I am a seer I see things God is with me and always will be you can’t judge me cause maybe don’t understand or never experience it, we all go through different encounters with JEsus Chrsit he died for us all on the cross and rose again on the third day Are Lord saves… Do not fear for emmanuel are God jesus christ is with us… I don’t like to debate i don’t know you and hope all well with you. I am just a follower of Jesus Christ we are all unique different people. It has not gotten worse now, Father is showing me alot fom wickedness and I know thats my ministry to bring the wickedness thats been bound up in darkness into light. Yes I have seen alot yes alot won’t understand but I know Jesus and he knows me and thats what counts in life , not what people want to hear or anything, but i want to be with Jesus more, Jesus is my life husband, counselor, teacher, my everything. Never give up keep on going keep on racing the race. The world is temporaily hell and heaven is for ever and we will be judged the things we do. on here. Seeing Jesus and Devil and all since I was little, there is a battle for are life’s sometimes I may fall but I know JEsus will pick me up.. Not perfect or won’t claim to be… God bless you Peter.
Sometimes in life we have to discern the fruits of the spirit. Some people do some people don’t..
[DTW edit – music youtube video removed]
Dear Kaylene
You seem very sincere but I am sorry, you are sincerely wrong. I can’t and won’t fall for your unbiblical sweet talk.
>> “We all have discerning differently some used it some don’t from the Lord he brings us different things in are life what we experience and what we been through.”
No this is not true, the Holy Spirit that abides in each and every born again believer will discern the exact same thing. The Holy Spirit will not give on message to one believer and another message to another.
>> “What you wrote from the beginning is that I am a seer I see things God is with me and always will be you”
A seer a clairvoyant call it what you will. The fact is before you were saved, a heathen you had this ability. Did you ask Jesus for forgiveness of this? No apparently you did not and you are still a clairvoyant / seer disguised under the banner of Christianity.
>> “you can’t judge me cause maybe don’t understand or never experience it”
I can’t judge you? Says who, says you? We are all called to JUDGE RIGHTEOUSLY please read this article about Judging. As Christians We Must Judge Righteously
I understand fully well what you are speaking about so do not try and tell me I have to experience what you are going through in order to say if it’s biblical or not. The fact is Kaylene what you are experiencing/seeing is unbilbical.
You say, “we all go through different encounters with JEsus”
No we do not, all born again Christians go through the EXACT SAME process when they are born again. You speak about an ‘encounter with Jesus’ – this is typical New Age talk. They too ‘encounter a Jesus’ but it’s not the Jesus of the Bible.
>> “I am just a follower of Jesus Christ we are all unique different people.”
More New Age Talk, “I am a follower of Jesus” and just because we are all unique people does not mean that each of us reads the bible differently. Oh heaven forbid. Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. Notice THE TRUTH, not many truths. There is only 1 interpretation of the bible, not many different interpretations for each unique person.
You say, “Yes I have seen alot yes alot won’t understand but I know Jesus and he knows me and thats what counts in life ,”
I do understand, this is why I ask you to repent of this clairvoyance you have. You say you know Jesus yet you preach the gospel of Calvinism which is an attack on the gospel of JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF. What counts in life is not that you know Jesus, what counts is you love your God with all your heart and soul and FOLLOW HIS COMMANDMENTS. You are not following His commandments Kaylene.
>> “but i want to be with Jesus more, Jesus is my life husband,”
Jesus is not your life husband, where on earth did you get this blasphemy from? Are you going to be a nun and remain celibate for your husband ‘Jesus?’. I know that Joyce Meyer teaches that Jesus is actually your boyfriend – this is false teaching through and through.
>> “Seeing Jesus and Devil and all since I was little, there is a battle for are life’s sometimes”
Yes the battle is for your life Laylee, you are still under a satanic spell, ask Jesus for forgiveness and seek deliverance of this curse that hangs over you.
>> “Sometimes in life we have to discern the fruits of the spirit. Some people do some people don’t..”
How do you discern the fruits of the spirit Kaylene? By looking at the good works people produce, do you call that good fruit? It matters not what is being preached, as long as there is so called ‘good fruit’ being produced. Did you also know that you get bad fruit? It looks good on the outside but inside it’s rotten to the core. This bad fruit comes from those who believe and preach a false doctrine, like Calvinism and then believe they are saving souls. Bad fruit will be your ministry Kaylene because you think you are helping people by seeing demons etc, but its not helping one bit, it’s not biblical.
Hi there,
While I may not agree 100% with the claims by Ms. Brown, I agree with much of what she is saying. The problem I have with you Deborah is that you seem not to agree with the gifts of the Holy Spirit that have been out-poured to Christians for the edification of the body of Jesus Christ. Kindly, I would advise you to reconsider your comments about believers not being able to cast out demons or pray for healing for other believers. Secondly, much of what I see here is differences doctrinal or theological exegesis which people waste time debating on trivial matters. For instance, in US you’d hear of pants while in Britain, you’d hear of trousers. They are one and the same just that we choose to see them differently. God through the Holy Spirit has equipped different people with different gifts to advance His kingdom.
Patrick,
Jesus’ exhortation to “take heed that no man deceive you” can hardly be .likened to the trivial “difference” between “pants” and “trousers.” Or are her arrogant and high-minded claims also just a triviality? It is said that on numerous occasions she stated to her patients that she was “chosen” by God as the only physician able to diagnose certain ailments and conditions which other physicians could not because the other physicians, including physicians from Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana and St. John’s Medical Center in Anderson, Indiana were, in fact, “demons, devils and other evil spirits” themselves. Humility, I may add, is something you learn when following Jesus (Matthew 11:29). Arrogance, conceit, superiority, and haughtiness are all traits that stick to you like a nit when you follow your own insights.
If the following comment on her official Facebook page does not open your eyes, then you should indeed learn how to discern between “pants” and “trousers.”
This proves beyond any doubt that Rebecca Brown has no discernment whatsoever.
1) Bill Gothard was accused of having sexually harassed more than 30 women.
2) Joyce Meyer’s apostasy is worse than Bill Gothard’s sins because spiritual harlotry exceeds it’s infamy by far. Her belief that Jesus went to hell after his crucifixion and obtained man’s salvation in hell and not on the cross is spiritual harlotry par excellence. And so also is her belief that she is sinless. https://www.discerningtheworld.com/category/pastors-teachers-speakers/j/joyce-meyer/
3) Benny Hinn, together with Kenneth Copeland, Rodney Howard Brown and Jessie Duplantis, have all been exposed as undercover satanists who frequently make the satanic hand sign to invoke curses on their audiences.
Watch this youtube video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JedCVhZsD9o
4) Mary Katherine Baxter. She is another one who claimes to have been visited by Jesus and taken on a special site seeing tour of heaven and hell. Anyone who dares to question her experience are warned as follows in her book “A Divine Revelation of hell.”
a) She claims she was chosen by God “to write and make a record” of “the reality of hell” so that “many may be saved, many will repent of their evil ways before it is too late” (p.10).
b) “It was for this purpose” she was born (p.12).
c) In other words, God views her as an indispensable instrument to proclaim the Gospel. This supposedly makes her equal to Jesus Christ whose unique birth was indispensable for the establishment and preaching of the Gospel.
d) Her arrogant claim of being chosen to tell the world that “hell is real” suggests the Bible doesn’t already tell us of the reality of hell.
e) Her testimony, therefore, about the reality of hell is somehow a new revelation of God to her.
You can do your own research to see how the other persons (with the exception of Dave Hunt) and their ministries twist and distort God’s Gospel.
Dear Patrick
You say “I do not disagree with the gifts of the Holy Spirit”, where do you get this from? Did I say so? No. If you want healing you go directly to Jesus Christ for healing, if you want deliverance you go directly to Jesus Christ for deliverance. Do you have a problem going directly to Jesus Christ for healing and deliverance? or do you prefer a middle man that goes to Jesus Christ for you?
Dear Deborah,
Lets say that for all arguments sake you are right. The bible exhorts us that to not think highly of ourselves for in so doing we my err and break away from the truth. I do not know whether you have anything personal against this lady, but your comments pretty sum it up. Remember nobody is above reproach and its important to have subjectivity in analysis and debates otherwise we may become wise in our own eyes. Good luck in exposing the false teachers/teachings but remember to moderate your comments and make them less personal. NB. I do not know the lady I just read her books.
Good luck and God bless you.
Patrick,
As you say, nobody is above reproach and that’s why we should be Bereans who constantly test all things against the Word of God. The Bible is our only compass to know whether we are on the right path or not. Like you, I do not know the lady personally and cannot see her heart. However we are admonished to test her doctrines in the light of the Word of God. I proved to you that she has no discernment whatsoever in her eulogy of false teachers.
What is more important to you – the integrity and honor of God and his Word or the subjective analyses of a lady who seems to be sincere but is in fact sincerely wrong? If God Himself has exalted his Word above his Name, how much more should we exalt his Word above our own names and above the name of a dear lady who has some subjectivity in her analyses? (Psalm 138:1).
How odd of you. First you wish us luck in exposing false teachers and then you scold us to have some subjectivity in our analyses.
By the way, you seem to be a big fan of Søren Kierkegaard and his philosophy on subjectivity?
Dear Patrick
I have nothing against Rebecca Brown except for the fact that she is leading thousands of people straight to hell with the words that she speaks and writes into her books for people to read.
Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
Matthew 12:34 “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh”.
If a person preaches a false gospel, it’s because their heart is full of evil.
I speak against her false teaching and warn others. The bible warns you:
Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
>> NB. I do not know the lady I just read her books.
Yes you do know her, what she writes in her books is what is in her heart.
Romans 16:18 “For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
Shalom Deborah
I am interceding for you now…May you hear from the LORD personally before you mercilessly assassinate beloved children of God like Dr.Rebecca Brown and other true servants of God. Aren’t you hurting your own body and grieving the Spirit of God? May you be delivered from every spirit that is from the Father of Lies. Guard your own salvation with fear and trembling and spend much time in God’s presence to hear clearly from Him. Christ is returning for His bride very son, ARE YOU READY?? Peace be upon you.
Dear Dove
>> I am interceding for you now…
I do not accept your prayer. In fact you can ‘intercede’ until you turn blue, it’s useless.
Mark 8:33 “…Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.”
I was one of the lucky ones when it came to Rebecca Brown. Read one of her books some 20 years ago and it scared the living day lights out of me resulting in me throwing it away after a small voice in my spirit said “BECAREFUL”.
My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me. John 10 verse 27. Thats my story of Miss Brown and her book “He came to set the captives Free.” Thank you Lord for watching over me and for keeping me from danger. I obeyed that small voice and still do to this day. For me its only the Word and the Holy Spirit and the armour of God.
Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. Mathew 7 verse 14. How many find it………A FEW. Are you one of the few. Do you see the church numbers as a few.? Its worth thinking about.
