It never ceases to amaze me. Angus Buchan has now released a Bible for men, yes you heard me a BIBLE. CUM Book stores description says;

Angus Buchan offers the essence of the real Bible to men in his bible? Really? Is Angus Buchan’s bible inspired? Why did Angus Buchan feel the need to shorten / take from God’s Bible and write his own and tell people that it’s just as good as the real thing, in fact “gain a better understanding of God’s Word” when it does not even come close.
I’ve been told this is a Devotional. What is a Devotional? Devotionals are not biblical, in fact:
Christian devotional literature (also called devotionals or Christian living literature) is religious writing that is neither doctrinal nor theological, but designed for individuals to read for their personal edification and spiritual formation. A Devotional is a direct attack from Satan. Devotionals are based on the writers personal experience of scripture and their personal spiritual ideas regarding scripture – in other words: their interpretation. There is one gospel, one Jesus Christ, one interpretation of scripture. Devotionals on the other hand give the writer ample leeway to play around with scripture and render it to their own interpretation. A devotional is nothing but a story telling book based on passages of scripture made to look biblical.

The Word of God was there in the beginning, the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. The Word became Flesh. The Word is Jesus Christ…

“Angus has pulled out key Scriptures for the reader to gain a better under standing of God’s Word?” Really? How is this possible when every verse in the Bible needs to be read in CONTEXT within the Bible itself in order for the Bible to be understood correctly.
If you take away from the bible you are TAKING AWAY from Jesus Christ who IS the WORD.
The Bible says that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of ones own private interpretation, the Holy Spirit helps us interpret the Word of God and within the Bible there is only one Truth – not many different interpretations – yet Angus Buchan has collected key scriptures within his bible (devotional) that will help one understand the bible better, the problem is Angus Buchan gives us his interpretation.
2 Peter 1:20
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
God says you are not to add too or TAKE AWAY anything from His Word, because you alter it’s meaning. Angus’s has disobeyed God and done just that.
Deuteronomy 4:2
2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Only Satan would take anything away from the Word of God, so that people can not be saved.
Luke 8:11-12
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
“Angus bible provides a concise overview of key messages of the entire Bible.” Really? So Angus’s Bible is better than God’s bible as it provides KEY messages for the reader! God’s Bible on the other hand IS THE KEY MESSAGE – one can not begin to pluck out verses and create a summarized version of smaller key messages and think you are doing the Church a favour. You are doing a gross injustice to the church and leading people straight to hell.

Revelation 22:18
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
“Angus provides short inspirational thoughts to encourage daily reading of the Bible?” Or is that his bible? Which bible are we speaking about here…
Why does a man have to encourage you to read your Bible? That should be the work of the Holy Spirit (if He abides in you).
Here, Paul reminds the followers of Jesus Christ how they had welcomed the message of Jesus Christ with much joy given to them by the Holy Ghost in spite of severe suffering. And John mentions that the reason by which we know that Christ lives in us is by the Spirit that God gave us (1 John 3:24). How could the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives demonstrate to us that Christ lives in us? Well we perceive His communication and His interaction with us and He is the One that edges us to read the Word of God as He is the One who illuminates scripture for us.
1 Thessalonians 1:6
6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:
What Angus Buchan has done is effectively created a new gospel in his ‘bible’ because it’s not the whole council of God.
Ephesians 4:14
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
1 Timothy 4:7
7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
A little error destroys the truth completely. Angus’s bible is nothing but leven as it does not contain the whole Truth.
Galatians 5:9
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
The Word of God tells you that you are to study the Bible, rightly dividing the Word of Truth, but this can’t be done in Angus’s bible because it does not contain the Truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
The Word of God says that greedy men will come and make money out of you of creating and selling FALSE BIBLES.
2 Peter 2:3
3 And through covetousness [Greed] shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Man shall not live on bread alone, but the bible says, BY EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Angus Buchan has removed most of the words from the Bible to create his own devotional version that is as dead as a door nail. People will read this bible and still be hungry.
Matthew 4:2-4
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
The Word of God is LIVING and ACTIVE – Jesus Christ is ALIVE. Angus’s bible is not the Word of God and is therefore dead and can’t produce any growth what-so-ever. Angus’s false bible is blunt and can’t judge.
Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.
The Word of God is the helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit, Angus’s false bible is neither.
Ephesians 6:17
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Angus’s bible will strengthen ever man’s faith and inspire them to live dedicated lives to God. Really? So Angus’s ‘word’ has now replaced the Word of God. Angus’s bible will inspire people to live dedicated lives to God, instead of listening and being obedient to the Holy Spirit.
The Word of God is a lamp unto peoples feet and a light along that narrow path, it does not say that EXTRA BIBLICAL books are a lamp and light to people.
Psalms 119:105
105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
False teachers have crept in to seduce the masses, they will create ‘false bibles’ and the people will read these fables instead of the Word of God and follow a false Christ. The Word of God says that because of their evil doctrines and manners, God has a horrible punishment prepared for them.

I have just come across this web site when checking out something about Angus Buchan.
All I can say is, how sad it is to read it as an outsider from another land.
You all call yourselves “Christians” but here you all are bitching among yourselves over what? This is playing into Satan’s hands, causing division and strife between those who should “love each other deeply”.

You are right God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” Romans 2:6 but that does not mean we must be quiet about the WORDS they speak that are contrary to the gospel. Its because the church is quiet and accepting that it’s in the state it’s in.
If you know the truth that someone is preaching falsely and you do not say anything their blood will be on YOUR hands. “When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.” Ezekiel 33:8
But I am sure you would have told Ezekiel to stop gossiping too.

Interesting article indeed and lots of truth but let’s ask if this is not the trend. Joyce Myers, Silly Osravech, Nina Smit and Andrew Murray and many others have done the same. They all have daily/inspirational/quotes all the same trend that Angus is doing. He has stood up and brought a nation to pray together, not charging them a cent to come together except their own costs to get there. How do you be a preacher in the world together except you sell books/comments/summaries of the bible- right or wrong? Do we break down the preachers? Let’s look at the fruit of their lives. Yes true the bible needs to be read as a whole to keep context. As a pastor myself I know most religious thinking comes from a few versus only and says I am right and everyone else is wrong.
Oh my word! I wonder what Jesus thinks about all of the above comments. Aren’t we supposed to correct each other in love? No wonder people are not interested in becoming Christians. I’m so glad I chose not to follow any church doctrination or leaders. It’s just me, my Father, my Saviour and the Holy Spirit. I think you all need to step back and commit this to God prayerfully.

When everyone HAD TO GO PERSONALLY to the “It’s Time” meeting, because according to Angus Jesus Christ can’t be in your midst when 2 or more pray at home or wherever you are (Matthew 18:20) no no no, YOU HAD TO GO to the meeting, you had to be INCONVENIENCED, you had to DO WORK, He said ““It is not good enough to just go to your house and pray with your family. We need to come together as a nation and we need to seek the Lord together.”
It cost R100 to camp by the way, and you were asked to DONATE by the way which I am sure many people did. So when people traveled all through the night from all over the country to get to Bloemfontein, Angus …touched down in his private jet just a stone’s throw from the area where the event was held.”

One of my ancestors sat on the council that translated the original KJV Bible. I use the word translated because that is what they did. They were very aware of the fact that to change Gods word would be a cardinal sin.

Wow. Have you guys never heard of a devotional? Angus is not claiming his devotional is a new Bible or replacing the Bible. Why are Christians so hateful to other Christians? The world will know we belong to Jesus by our love for one another.
A devotional does not replace our own personal Bible reading and study. It is additional to that.
First let me be honest, I was sad when Angus demanded that we all be there in Bloemfontein because that is what God wanted for that prayer meeting and that it is not good enough to pray only in our house with family, we had to be there. I was sad because I would have loved to be there but it was impossible because I am caretaker of my Ma who suffers from Alzheimer’s dementia.
But nevertheless I prayed at home and afterwards when watching video footage of the event, I was blessed. It is beautiful when God’s people gather in His name.
Angus is not perfect, but neither am I. I make mistakes, say something I should rather not have said. I did not hold any resentment towards him because of what he said.
I was over-joyed when he announced the prayer meeting in Cape Town, even though, again, I could not attend because of my Ma, but my husband went there with a friend, a brother in Christ.
God was glorified not Angus. He never took any glory for himself. He even said he is only a guest at that event, that it is all about Jesus.
He encourages people to draw closer to Jesus. He prays with people. He read from the Bible. 9 or 12 gang leaders came to faith in Christ. That is a good thing! That is all God’s doing!???️ Even if only one person was saved or only one lukewarm Christian became on fire for God again, that prayer day was worth it.
Regarding speaking in tongues, it is mentioned in the Bible as one of the spiritual gifts. It did not cease. Nowhere is it mentioned that it ceased and the Scripture that says “when the perfect has come, the partial shall be done away with” (or something like that, speaking from memory) does not mean it has ceased yet. It will cease when Jesus returns. Until then while on this earth God’s church need to be built up, encouraged in the Spirit, with a word of prophecy! Holy Spirit gifts to each as He wills.
As for Angus arriving “in his private jet” at the Bloemfontein prayer meeting, Angus does not own a jet, that was lend to him just like the helicopter with which he arrived at Mitchell’s Plain in Cape Town on the 24th of March 2018.
Do you have proof that the jet belongs to him?
Neither does He claim to be Jesus. Why lie about him so much? He has the Spirit of Christ and he brought the message of Christ. Do we as believers not bring Christ in us when we speak His word to the lost? Do we not show Christ to the world in our actions, in our words, by our love?
Praise God, today in my alone time with Him as I was pouring out my heart before him regarding unbelievers who were hating on me, making false accusations against me when all I did was bring the Good News of Jesus in love.

As for Catholicism, no they can’t be Christians if they do things that are totally unbiblical.
Some people drive by car, some walk, some fly by plane. What does it matter to anyone? Your focus should be on Jesus and that’s it and if you do not want to go, you are free not to. So why worry about others who decide to join the prayer meeting with much effort or fly by jet, who by the way do not see it as a work towards their salvation?

Tom, Angus is not my god. Please do not insult me. All I am doing is speaking up against the hate from Christians against him. You don’t know me, yet you falsely accuse me. So anyone saying anything good about Angus, not agreeing with everything you guys say, is now worshipping Angus? Your words are not coming from love, but pride. I already found the truth or rather the Truth found me, Jesus who is the truth.
I discerned Rodney Howard Brown long ago. I am absolutely not a fan. Maybe Angus is only being ‘nice’ with people. If I were Angus, I would stay clear of the false prophets. But maybe he does not know that they are! I also know Rick Joyner, Todd Bentley and many of the ‘Elijah list’ prophets are false prophets.
Maybe I am wrong about Angus, but until I hear with my own ears that he praises the Catholics and the pope and says something unbiblical, I won’t believe that he is not of God. Meeting with the pope does not make one false. I won’t care to, but to each his own.
I am disappointed that the dams in Cape Town are not full as he said they would be in March 2018. The atheists are having a field day with that. But I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, because he did not say God said so, he said that from himself. So I take it he was speaking in faith and it did not happen according to his faith. Anything he does in the Name of God that is not from God, he will answer to God for that, for that is taking the Name of our Lord in vain.
Has Angus actually ever said that he is a prophet? I have never heard him say that, only some of his followers claim that. I don’t. He claims he is the two witnesses from Revelation, that “God doubled his prophet”. :ohno: Check/ He claims he is the “ancient prophet of God”. He claims that He caused the earth in Kenya to split, regarding the huge crack that opened up in Kenya. Fake fake fake photo manipulations in his videos, too ridiculous to even bother to mention, yet he has a following. Owuor is using fear to threaten those who oppose him.
Angus thinks the wind at his meetings is the Holy Spirit at work. What harm is there in that? It seems he experiences God very literally. How can you deny when he says he spoke in tongues and sang in tongues? There are things God has done in my life that was supernatural, one was about asking God about praying in tongues and a whirlwind, but I won’t go into detail, I won’t bother to cast my pearls where it will only be trampled. Oh and no pastor or anyone was involved with that or influenced me or experienced it with me, just God and I. Maybe it was nothing, but I know that I know it was God answering me. God is a God with whom nothing is impossible if we will only believe, have the faith Abraham had. I have faith. Granted sometimes I have faith and what I am asking of God, He does not grant me. I am okay with that, for God knows best even if I do not understand why. I love Him nonetheless. His grace is enough for me. I believe like Job, though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.
May God be merciful to all of us who can only see the splinter in another’s eye and not the beam in our own. May God open our eyes to our own lovelessness towards the brethren when all we can do is demonise everyone. God have mercy on us all. May God bless His church and open our eyes to the false prophets. There are many. I don’t care much for anyone’s titles. To me it is all about Jesus, not a mere fallible man.
My husband went to Mitchell’s Plain prayer day in Cape Town. It was free, everything was free. There was prayer, people came to salvation. I already mentioned that I don’t agree with everything he says, like when he demanded everyone go to Bloemfontein and that praying in our rooms is good but not what God wants for that day, but to be there in Bloem. Would I ever go to an Angus gathering?…I don’t know, I don’t think so, but I won’t run him down, because he speaks of the love of God but also warns people to repent, just like the Spirit in Revelation says to the churches, to repent. Angus is not against Jesus, he is for Jesus. Angus believes in the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit who are one.
