Jacob Prasch from ‘Moriel Ministies’ threatened me with a cyber war, he said, “I could declare cyber war on you in retribution but I shall not. Our website and BE ALERT only contains things worth the while and you have no value except in the service of your father the devil.” (2012/11/28 at 8:56 am) .
It appears he didn’t use his website to attack me, but opened a new website to do all his dirty business on. The website in question is called: http://www.deborahduranddiscerningtheworld.wordpress.com/2012/12/12/who-is-deborah-from-discerningtheworld-com/
Jacob Prasch (and friends) posted 5 vicious attacks against my personal life, my health and insinuated that he claims he knows where my husband works. A complaint was laid by someone other than me to WordPress to investigate the author of the blog. Wordpress did not hesitate to remove the blog from the internet.
After Jacob Prasch (and friend’s) website was closed down by WordPress they actually went and bought a domain to host the website on his own server. www.discerningdeborahdurand.com. So he is now paying cash to defame me with lies.
Jacob Prasch unfortunately has a habit of doing this to people who expose this false teaching. Instead of writing a biblical rebuttal he attacks them in the most vicious manner with terrible twisted lies. He has done this too so many people out there, people who have exposed his false Hebrew roots teaching, you just need to Google to find out who he has attacked and how many. It’s quite sad actually.
Jacob Prasch tells everyone it’s not him who did this, but if you read the information on the site they actually speak about themselves as ‘Moriel will continue to just ignore her‘ etc. The best evidence I have that this is Jacob Prasch and Moriel Ministries doing is the coding of the website.

I know the Midrash and I occasionally read Edersheim and have recently gone back to Josephus. I hasten to add, that I do not believe for a nanosecond that these writers contribute anything to Scripture.
For one thing, Josephus did not believe Christ was the Messiah! As you know, I have called myself a Christian Zionist on these posts and from my own Jewish connections (though I was a Catholic) I will always be pro-Israel and pro-Jewish. But for me, this Midrash stuff–which I have enjoyed delving into–being joined to Christianity is Judaizing. The Apostle Paul castigated the Judaizers in no uncertain terms.
I have occasionally read Moriel Ministry’s stuff and listened to Jacob Prasch speak. I thought him a nice guy though I disagree with much of what he has to say. But I am appalled at this attack on you. I admit that I would expect such a thing from Calvinists–having personally been accused of still being a Catholic from a Calvinst; while he follows Augustine!
I know what it is like to have been seriously ill, as I was recently. But to have one’s mental state questioned because of it, is not only an ad hominem statment which is bad enough but it is disgusting! If your detractor had the intelligence he would never have stooped so low. Any true Christians would never have come near to contemplating such a thing. It is utterly inspired from the pit of hell. A person who plummets to the depths of such an underhand way to discredit another–whatever beliefs they hold–is plainly demonic, (that underhand way is demonic, not the person themselves.)
We are told to love our enemies, to bless those that curse us and to pray for those who spitefully abuse us. Obviously your attacker has overlooked that in Scripture. Perhaps his study of the Midrash and Josephus has clouded his thinking towards that very basic Bible text. Obviously he has never considered 2 Tim 3:16 which would show him he doesn’t need the Midrash nor anything other than Scripture. There again, he may not even believe that Scripture as, to judge by his personal attack on you, he has ignored several Scriptures which are very obvious to a truly converted Christian.
As for his cheap jibe at your mental state (exposing his own mental state!): you’d think if he honestly believed you were mentally unstable that he would not have mentioned it but got on his knees to pray for you. In fact any decent person of any religion or none would not have stooped so low.
As I’ve said before, Deborah (and by the way, I’ve didn’t know your surname till now and didn’t care because it bears nothing whatever on what you write): I’ve admired your logic and how you are never distracted from the actual points. Your logic alone testifies your soundness of mind, even if you weren’t contending for the faith and were merely arguing philosophically. As your detractors cannot see something as blatant as that, it makes me worry for their own ability to reason properly. I must remember to pray for them. I’m not being sarcastic. I mean that genuinely. They are in serious spiritual trouble.
One thing that crass vituperation does show is that such people who revert to it have an unrepentant attitude.
I do admit to one thing, Deborah, that I am thankful for that foul approach to you (my dear friend–for you are a friend although we have never met; we will soon!) becasue it reminded me of how we true Christians are to be hated as Christ was hated, including from false brethren. I saw nothing but hatred in those comments. I have never come over any hatred in yours when you voice your beliefs. You always back them up with Scripture. Nor is anything extra-biblical or non biblical in your contending for the faith.
Looking at both sides objectively, I will now be more suspicious of anything that comes from Moriel Ministries–which does go to extra biblical things to back their premisses–if I indeed bother to read anything from them at all now. So I have your detractor to thank for that too.
My wife and I will pray for you and your health. Again I thank you for contending for the faith and for sharing it with the rest of us. It keeps us on the alert in these Last Days.

Last night I prayed that this website they opened up will backfire and they will expose themselves, that every move they make against me will not prosper but work against them instead. I only have Jesus to reply on and I know He is watching over me, protecting me and giving me the strength to press on.

Thank goodness for that, because I am assured of my Salvation and my fruit and the gospel I speak testify to this. Being ‘assured of their salvation’ is something Jacob Prasch does not believe in. Martin, thank you for your statement – I say thank you because your words echo my thoughts exactly – I say a big AMEN!
You are absolutely right – the source of this attack on our sister is demonic to the core and directly from the very pit of hell. And it is launched because she has the courage to speak the truth and expose what others have failed to expose and in fact have even condoned in blind loyalty to a man.
This is dangerous ground because our God takes notice of this and He will deal with those who attack His beloved who is being attacked for simply daring to expose error regardless of whose toes it steps on.
Instead of receiving the truth they become desperate and resort to vicious tactics that even the world would condemn as unethical and beyond the pale!
They were caught red-handed with the Doug Harris prayer request, referring to him in glowing terms as a respected apologist when he is a documented ecumenist. Then they try to cover it up. This is dishonest. And they call those who exposed it liars.
There were no personal attacks here on this website. It was all about the teaching and the truth. But the response is to launch a cruel and deeply personal attack using information shared to someone posing as a trusted friend. And also based on information from bad sources. Incredible!!
I would like to address the necessity for anonynmity for which Deborah is blasted. This episode should make the reason for that crystal clear. First of all, Deborah is under the direction of her husband which is biblically correct.
Secondly, whether she discloses her identity or not has nothing to do with the credibility of what she posts. She backs it up with scripture. The reason others are so gung ho on identity is because they are impressed by “credentials” and titles and authorship of books and the recommendations of others in a particular “network” of shared platforms and “mutual backsscratchers”.
Thirdly, and very sadly, it can come down to personal security and safety.
Debs, my dear sister be encouraged…Jesus chose 12 disciples and one of them sold Him out to His enemies for 30 pieces of silver…can one imagine how that must have hurt Him. We are not called to be popular.
You have stuck to the scripture in your heart…that I know and you will be attacked from all sides for that.
You and I have shared a few things and I know your absolute integrity when it comes to your true love for what’s right in the scriptural sense. I have always admired courage and integrity especially when it’s standing up for the souls of the lost.

The straw man tactics to take attention off Jacob are strongly at work here. They are trying to sidetrack and deflect the important issues by changing the subject or by trying to discredit ALL of us as cowards who hide in secrecy and therefore have NO CREDIBILITY to say anything.
Is this all they can use to discredit us “secrecy”. They are really scraping at the very bottom of the barrel. What difference does it make? The proper question to ask is “are we speaking the truth, do we have firm evidence, do we base everything we say on what God tells us in HIS Word? The answer to these is YES. Do we need credentials and accolades by mere men before we can speak the truth? Of course not!!!
Anyway, what secrecy??? It seems clear that Deborah is not using an alias.
So what if she did use an alias???
In this day and age, with all the evils on cyberspace, site owners need to restrict private and confidential information (as much as possible) because there are a lot of evil/crazy people out there who may even try to kill you (if they had the chance). By retaining/holding back some personal information such as addresses, date of birth, even photos, you can restrict the damage they can cause you.
I am sure many other discerners may well use anonymous names (just like the false discerners such as the author of that new slanderous blog)to protect themselves from possible lawsuits or even physical harm from weird or sick people.
In these days, watchmen need to exercise much wisdom on the internet because they are at the mercy of absolutely everyone throughout the world if they divulge too much private information about themselves. Therefore, retaining some private information is a MUST.
The advantage of blogsters retaining some privacy (even anonymous names)is that they can be completely candid and bold in what they say, knowing that they are much safer in exposing false teachers, heresy etc from any type of threat (physical or legal), when they do so.
Jacob has even ALREADY tried to obtain MY personal address by subtle, stealthy ways. Why? What is his motive? Does he want to publish our addresses or send emails to certain people so that we may be attacked in our homes?
They may say that we are called to suffer for Christ. that is true, but should we make it easy for our opponents to persecute us? The NT teaches (or implies) that we should avoid persecution, if we can, but if not then rejoice in your sufferings.
Quite honestly, I am not bothered by these silly comments by Jacob and his cohorts. They do not “hold water” and any sincere seeker of truth will see right through him as the REAL fake (oops an oxymoron, lol).
Actually, the one who states that Debs is using an anonymous HIMSELF retains anonymity on his blog. He criticises her, but he does the same things. Is it wrong or wise to retain some anonymity, anyway, based on what I have said???
Again, Jacob and his mates are simply using that argument and other straw man arguments to deflect attention away from the FAR GREATER evils practiced by Jacob.

Seems like the more I read, the more we have in common. I briefly messaged that website once, (sorry – pathoftruth.com) not knowing who they were, regarding their use of the “Message”. By the manner they answered me back, I carbon copied some friends when I replied, but this did not deter them, they were of the same manner as Jacob Prasch, and worse. They brought more people in, went to my facebook page, told me that God had killed my husband (he had just died that year) and that he wasn’t saved. That I did not have the Spirit, and that the Lord had given my missionary mom cancer because she and my dad were not saved. (He read a journal from their recent mission trip to Lebanon), she had cancer, but wanted to do the trip, and she had 2 forms, stage 4. Wasn’t looking good. But she went on her trip anyways, and as she went to her cancer treatments, took gospels of John and Romans and prayed for people and gave them gifts and planted and watered wherever she went.
It wasn’t terribly hard to see how these people did not display the love of the Lord. Neither does Jacob Prasch, not to you, or not to me when he called Christ’s judgment to come down on me quickly (the liar my words proved me to be).
But I wouldn’t answer a fool according to his folly. You are doing right by answering him here, and exposing his unfruitful deeds to the light, I am not saying that, but do not let him get you riled or upset. He is in the wrong here, he is abusive both spiritually and otherwise.
I do hope he somehow knows the Lord, and turns back to Him, because He sure doesn’t display sound speech that cannot be condemned.

Deborah, this is my first time commenting. Have read some of your posts in which I find some good honest contending for the faith, Scripturally backed up and logically discussed. I appreciate your forthright answers.
I myself have been ruthlessly slandered because of the faith and then of course, those doing the accusing can manufacture distortions about your character to back up their own hatred and bitterness. As you said, you’re not perfect, and none of us are perfect (except by faith in Christ).
I would be surprised if you weren’t attacked because of your stand for truth. But it’s ugly when it comes, isn’t it? And surprising who and where it comes from. Just know that we stand with you and we believe you.

I agree with your stand on Calvinism. Have found some very disturbing backlash whenever speaking the plain words of Scripture. They can get a little bit nasty. And sometimes it’s just easier to go along to get along. That’s to our shame.

Atheists are apt to use some of the foulest language when you try to convince them of the existence of God. Calvinists aren’t any better. They don’t use foul language but shower you with names that belong to Satan, his demons and the pit of hell which is much worse.
When I recently joined a group on Facebook I was told that a friend warned the moderator against me and my views on Calvinism. To my surprise I was allowed to join the group but I did not last long. The moderator of the Facebook group “Let’s learn together/Kom ons leer saam” after having debated them on the demerits of Calvinism eventually called me an Antichrist, DTW note: Names had to be legally removed [Edited in it’s place: Those 2 Calvinists from fortheloveofhistruth.com] called me “evil and beyond,” and some even referred to me as a bloodthirsty moron. They resort to bad behaviour and loudmouth tactics when they fail to answer your questions. If we had lived in the time of Calvin they probably would have burnt me at the stake.

Engaging with these people is like talking to a brick wall, except the brick wall talks back with evil diatribe and even attacks with slander and lies and posts your cell number on the internet for all to see.
We truly are in the last days where genuine Christians will be hated for preaching the Gospel Truth of Jesus Christ. They can’t stick to pointing out false doctrine, instead they become mean and nasty and resort to other evil tactics.

we are not on any personal vendetta against any specific individuals. However, if these individuals are destroying our brothers and sisters then we just HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING. Debs is not defending herself to specifically protect herself per se but as a means to expose the evil preachers/teachers out there.
Jacob Prasch (with every move) is exposing what type of wolf he is. This is why Debs has had to stand up and say something because JP is (through stealth) trying to deceive the people even more by telling lies about Debs and myself.
By the way, you know the expression “it takes one to know one”? Well, with JP it is certainly true. He is the biggest liar of them all and has got so used to lying about his challengers that it has become second nature to him. He tries to take the spot light off himself by accusing us of lying. We ACTUALLY prove his lies with EVIDENCE. He claims we lie but has NO evidence – just simply made up stories.
You cannot really NOW believe anything the man says. He is pure wickedness. The way he has deviously set up a new blog and used even those he himself despises JUST to protect himself from our exposing him and used it to spread lies about Debs does not demonstrate the man to have an ounce of integrity or love. I wrote to him personally by email trying to get him to see sense and to repent. However, the man has so much pride it is “beneath him” to apologise.
This man needs to be exposed for the sake of all those who are being destroyed by him.
Jacob WHY WHY WHY can you not humble yourself and in humility confess you have done wrong so that you will receive grace and forgiveness from the Lord.
As it says in the “so called” Lord’s prayer “forgive us our sins AS WE FORGIVE OTHERS” and “if we do not forgive others, neither will the Heavenly Father forgive us” and “do not let a root of bitterness build up in you”. Jacob do you have a bitter or a forgiving spirit? If you will simply confess that you have done wrong then we are ONLY TOO KEEN to forgive you.
I am appalled beyond belief at the betrayal, the personal attacks and accusations that go way beyond the pale of human decency let alone occur in the realm of those who call themselves Christian. This makes the dirty tricks of politians look like child’s play.
Neither John Chingford or the author of this blog or any contributors have ever attacked Jacob Prasch personally to the best of my knowledge. Yet he carries out a vendetta of hate and vitriol, a campaign of hate that must make Satan salivate with glee.
Again, I am SHOCKED to the deepest degree that anyone who calls themselves a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ would sink to this lowest level. The level of HATRED and ANGER is such that it smokes with the fire of hell. It is OBVIOUS that the attempt is to DESTROY the author of this blog by any means possible just because she has th courage to stand for sound doctrine and exposed the false.
There are those who are holding her up in prayer and taking her cause to the very courts of heaven. We do not pray for the destruction of her enemies, but rather we pray for their conversion and turning away from these evil acts. As Deborah does, we do not return evil for evil. We are concerned for their very souls.
The Lord is taking notice of this and His judgments will prevail. And those who are aiding and abetting in this evil act will give an account before Almighty God.

We are to pray for enemies and no one would want anyone to suffer such an end, but this is the path they have chosen and unless they repent………you have forgiven even these vile acts which the Holy Spirit has enabled you to do. May that heap coals upon their heads and bring them to repentance.
The human heart is a despicably wicked thing even in the regenerated. It is puffed-up with all sorts of hidden evils, pride hiding in all sorts of thoughts, actions and attitudes. It is selfish and very deceptive. It takes glory in self esteem,is egotistic,self-righteous and glorifies itself in intellectualism..
The human heart in Christians is not exempt as it cleaves to spiritual pride and some good works often have hidden agendas. It lacks honesty and integrity.
The human heart hates repentance, it accepts forgiveness at times but it is relunctant to give it. It hates true humility but cleaves to false humility.
Little today is preached or said about dying to self and living for the Saviour, trusting His Word absolutely, entirely and faithfully. The human heart’s tendancy to go off in the wrong direction is fed with myriads of false teachings, interpretations and demonic forces.
There is only one way for a true regenerated heart to treat it is to be absolutely honest and surrendered and believing in the written word and the saving gospel of the cross and LETTING and ALLOWING God’s Holy Spirit to help you.
This ugliness mentioned above is what happens when we do not enter into the narrow gate and go off track. We neglect to listen to the Holy Spirit.
Otherwise it simply comes from those who are FALSE and are definitely NOT born again.
Their father is the devil himself and they flirt and are seduced by the demonic agents of the fallen world.

Be strong sister. JP and his evil cohorts are only exposing themselves – not you. Anyone with any intelligence/discernment/wisdom/common SENSE can see right through their false chirades and attempts at distorting things. It is so obvious what they are trying to do!

The FACT remains that THEY CANNOT DISPUTE WHAT WE SAY so like all cowards they resort to nasty underhanded tactics. Surely the readers can see the truth for themselves what is really going on. We have supplied proof/evidence of JP and his disciples false teachings, unChristlike behaviour and hypocrisis, so WE ARE telling the truth. They simply resort to “hearsay” as their evidence.
Anyway, what if you did “occasionally” failed in portraying love on your blog (being an imperfect sinner redeemed by Jesus)? That is no reason to “rubbish” the truth of what you speak. You HAVE NOT lied about JP but told the truth (as we all have done) in as much grace as possible and because we have compassion for the multitudes being deceived by men like him.
I’ve just got on this bit of the blog, Debs. I had thought the JP was a reasonable man. I can see now that he is not. It is deeply saddening to think someone was a Christian then find you have been so wrong.
I do not blame you for taking the matter seriously. But bear in mind, so does God!
He will rip of the masks of such people sooner or later, whether they are false brethren, apostates or merely Satan’s messengers masquerading as angels of light.
One thing, Debs, you have brothers and sisters in Christ who are praying for you. We fight against spiritual wickedness in high places. Yet, greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world.
We should also pray for JP who certainly is influenced by demonic spirits. He is definitely deceived if he thinks that such behaviour is Christian. So we should pray against the demons that are getting at his mind.
As each day dawns bringing such blatant evil on it’s wings with a vengeance, I am more certain by the minute that we are accelerating towards the Rapture.
If Mr P can’t see that, he is very likely at least to be one of the virgins who who is going to miss the Rapture. At worst, he is an enemy of the Cross of Christ. Either way, he will end up in the Great Tribulation and we wouldn’t want that for anyone to happen so we should pray that he realizes what he is doing.
Surely, it is not God’s will that any should perish. But that is up to those who are perishing as they have their part to play.
God will preserve and protect you, Debs, because you are doing his work just now. He has a job for you. I’m fairly certain (though I don’t live on gut reactions or feelings), through what I am seeing happening in daily fulfilled prophecies direct from Scripture, that when your present job with DTW terminates, we will hear the shout and will be ascending seconds behind the Dead in Christ. I think you must know that too.
Sometimes, when I am so down about such Satanic pressure which is so palpable these days, I home in on two Psalms. They are Ps 37 and Ps 73. Maybe it’s worth you meditating on them.

Debs: This whole business reminds me that we are in a war. God has rallied a few of his faithful troops to pray and stand on the Word, to remind you of verses like:
2 Corinthians 12:10
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Be encouraged, Debs. You are NOT doing something wrong. You are doing something right.
This is what war is all about. Apathetic, carnal Christians won’t get the heat…but it seems by standing for Truth, you have stirred up a hornets nest. God has surrounded you with his angels. Here’s one promise to reply to your fears of retribution from men…
Hebrews 13:4-6
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
When I stood for Truth…my mother and my brother(acting father) were my biggest antagonists. And the verse that the Lord gave me was:
Psalm 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.
When they couldn’t control me by undermining me and sabotaging me, they started plotting to commit me to an asylum…I can smile now at the absurdity of it, but that’s just how hateful, abusive and ugly it got for me. God put a few supporters in my life and put a hedge (literally) around me. They couldn’t get to me. Time after time, their misdeeds and plots were exposed so that I knew what they were up to and subsequently, I ceased talking to them. Cut them off.
I could tell you so much more…but the bottom line is the Holy Spirit will help us no matter what. He will be your peace through it all. Sometimes he removes the thorn and sometimes he allows it.
Even though I am shocked at this latest, below the belt tactic of Jacob P. and friends, I am not totally surprised because of my own perilous times. Satan is twisting everything to look like the opposite. Just remember…he’s the spirit behind it all. You are a threat to his kingdom and a threat to Jacob’s financial empire. Remember…when you hit a false prophet’s pocket book, you’re going to get the same reaction Jesus got when he overturned the money changer’s tables in the temple.
The battle is the Lord’s…Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
