paradisefound1 (Thomas) who is also Andy from a comment here
Look Andy you say we are deceptive and yet you go and change your name to paradisefound1 to TRY fool us into thinking you are someone else? :ohno: Really?
Not only is Charles Stanley into heretical teaching like“self-esteem” and “Contemplative Prayer” (Mysticism) as Thomas pointed out here but it’s highley possible that Charles Stanley is also a Calvinist.
Tell me Andy/Thomas are you a Calvinist?
paradisefound1/Andy
you said “You ARE calling a well-respected man of God to be evil…very serious offense!”
Deborah, thanks for pointing out andy’s (paradiasefound1’s) deception. It surely fits him like a glove – i.e. the deception.
deborah,
Yes, I have a first name, middle name and a last name. I even have more than one email, imagine that! Did you figure that out all by yourself because of the Charles Stanley reference? Good for you! I messaged from a different email using my given name( now remember all people have at least two…) because I had no faith my previous message would be answered. Your mate tom did not answer as to why he thought it okay to call me a fool ( Matt 5:22), gee what a surprise! you know the whole “Tom and Deborah” from discerning the truth identity makes perfect sense as it is obvious you two are a couple and cosign each other nonsense. Trying to draw me into your Calvinist debate trap, no thanks, I read all about you on this page…[The Path of Truth url removed]. You are one argumentative, divisive and vindictive woman Deb…no thx! Readers, follow that website link if you care to see more about deborahs personality

andy
Quote me where I called you a fool.
andy,
Of course, many of us have names, middle names, double-barreled names, pseudonyms, funny names and weird names like Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious but we don’t use them to deceive people or to dodge possible unanswered comments. And by the way, Deborah is not my mate. We are a brother and sister in Christ Jesus.
As for the link you sent, I think it is villainous, wicked, and downright evil to say someone had a false conversion when they themselves believe in a kind of cannibalistic redemption by saying:-
—ThePathofTruth website
This is the pure Roman Catholic idolatry of transubstantiation. Having read this, I must again remind you that you are making a fool of yourself, and a dangerous one at that as well. You are doing exactly what Matthew 5:22 is saying. You are attacking Deborah and impugning her with a false conversion whilst aiding and abetting a bunch of people who promote a false kind of redemption. What does John say about putting aside doctrine?
They tell you to put aside doctrine so that they may promote their OWN DOCTRINE of the cannibalistic eating and drinking of Christ’s flesh and blood so that his blood may course through your veins? Really? I suggest that you graciously leave this site and never return, not even under a second, a third or a fifth name.
Andy
Tom is my brother in Christ we are not mates, you are on the other hand have serious issues and you are no longer welcome to post here.
The Path of Truth is a CULT, they are a communal cult that runs a farm in Saskatchewan, Canada. Kinda like a Jim Jones scenario, but no suicide’s yet. Maybe you would like to join them? They lured a young teenage girl away from her parents to join the cult leaders Victor and Paul on their farm and she had to disown her family and follow them without question after they bamboozled her with FALSE TEACHING. Paul and Victor attacked me years ago with hideous slander and lies and this is what you are reading and believing. Carry on in your un-discerning ways.

The link above certainly clarifies that they are a Cult. I looked up their site out of interest and came across this section. Bad things going on there.
Thanks Shannon for your comment, I agree with you wholeheartedly.
i have been studying the book of Finis Jennings Dyke, God’s plan for man, together with the KJ Bible.
I see many warn against Dyke’s teachings and i also see many of the Word of Faith teachers praise Finis Dake and his teachings as one of the best and that they could not teach without his study bible. (Benni Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar)
Can you give me more info on Dyke? Is this true?
Dear helet van blerk
You answered your own question: you said ” Word of Faith teachers praise Finis Dake and his teachings as one of the best” Word of Faith Doctrine is this:
1 Timothy 4:1-3 1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
Jesus Christ’s teaching are the best, not “Finis Dake and his teachings”.
I ask that you put that book down and pick up the bible and bible alone and learn from the Holy Spirit what the Word of God says “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:13 )
Thank you and yes you are right, don’t ever believe a person, only believe the Word of God. Check all and live in His Word and no other book!
Thanks again!
Dear Tom/Debs, how are you? Trust you are all doing great. I couldn’t find a relevant thread so forgive me for posting my question under this subject. My question is where do we draw the line with re: Christians and Politics? Reason I ask is a friend of mine says he got a vision one day to pray for the Parliament. Now he has gone from this to “getting actively involved with a Christian group within the Parliament”. And they are encouraging more Christians irrespective of their denomination to come join them or get involved in politics wherever they are so “our voices” ie Christian views on issues, can be expressed. The whole thing just doesn’t sit well with me. I mean first off, my friend said he saw a “vision’. I’m sorry but anytime I hear that statement, it stops me right in my tracks. Many a false teaching today can be traced back to “God gave me this vision” or “I had this vision and just KNEW it was from God”. Secondly, this vision has now led to him being involved with a group that encourages Christians IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR DENOMINATION to become actively involved in politics. Clearly they view all denominations as Christian even though this isn’t the case. Do I smell an ecumenical agenda? Thirdly, why are they encouraging MORE Christians to become actively involved in politics? It is one thing to want to get involved in order to be able to express your views. It is another to use your share numbers to tilt things in your favour. Which is what Dominionism is all about ie “Christianising” all spheres or sectors of society through their share numbers. To me, this has an ecumenical or dominionist undertone and will morph as such. I think my friend has been deceived and I plan on speaking to him about this but I anticipate the “so should Christians simply fold their arms while the government of the day pass and implement completely anti-biblical policies” question. This again is not a solution. Hence why I want to know where we draw the line. Your advise, in line with scripture as always, will be highly appreciated.
Hi Koko
Not to worry, moved your comment to: The General Conversation Section – If You Don’t Know Where to Say it, Say it Here!
I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit over the last few days, because of DA leader Mmusi Maimane who was/is a pastor. I’ll respond in a little while. We have a DTW crisis – yip we’ve been hacked again, but HOORAY for our web security company who is working on it as we speak. I’m just going to back up your comments in case they go missing.
[Edited: Ok all is fine now, hacking threat removed.]
Hi Koko
Yes it is part of the Apostolic and Prophetic bunch (Latter Rainers) to take back and dominate the world.
See this article here: https://www.discerningtheworld.com/2009/05/12/dominionism-and-the-rise-of-christian-imperialism-2
We know that all these false churches are the Roman Catholic church in disguise (the woman (church) that rides the Beast (Roman Catholic church) in book of Revelation) – They are attempting to amalgamate church and state as it was hundreds of years ago.
Dear Debs, thanks a mil for your response and for sending me the link. I’m gonna have a look at the link you sent in a sec. But still, how do I answer the “so should Christians fold their arms while the government of the day pass and implement completely anti-biblical policies” question. How do we balance our moral obligation to strongly oppose public policies in stark contradiction to God’s word with distancing ourselves from the State? This is what I believe is the right thing to do but would love to hear your views too. I believe most countries have a Christian body which serves (or should do in any case) as a medium for conveying our stance on issues of this nature. And in the event that the State opts to do as it wishes, we are to disregard and speak out against such laws. A good example is the bill that was passed into law in America that makes it unlawful for a pastor to refuse to wed a gay couple. Should pastors refuse?
Absolutely. Should we speak out against it? Absolutely. Do we need to become members of the Republican party in order to voice the truth of God’s word? Absolutely not. All this can be done without being a part of or actively involved in the “system”. This is how I would address the issue. Am I on track?
Hacked again… I don’t believe this. We are going to lose comments.
Hallelujah and thank Jesus Christ is all I have to say. We didn’t lose any comments. Website is fixed 95%. The funny characters in all the articles are gone, but we’ve lost our revolving map data and some other things and quite a few categories have been tampered with, which I have to manually fix – very annoying.
But I am happy :yahoo: and it’s 3am in the morning…I need sleep.
[Edited: I got my map data back, yipeee. Now I’m going to sleep at 4:37am]
Hi Koko,
I need to think about your question and do some biblical research as I’ve been thinking about the same thing for a couple of weeks now. I totally agree with what you have to say. I will come back to you.
Maybe Tom can help.
:thankyou:
Frustrating this hacking thing. Don’t despair, keep doing what you are doing. May God strengthen you. Please try and get some sleep 🙂
Hi Koko,
I do not always respond to comments immediately because Christians who are not involved with our site and do not have access to the Internet often ask me questions which I try to answer to the best of my ability in hard copy format. It keeps me rather busy sometimes. Nonetheless, to answer your question whether Christians should become actively involved in politics in an effort to try to change the political landscape in a country, I would say . . . . Noooooo! Born-again Christians received a single mandate from Jesus Christ, which is to go into all the world and make disciples of all the nations. The Twelve Apostles and Paul never ventured to speak out against sin with an intent to change the corrupt political landscape in Rome or anywhere else. Paul said,
We often make the mistake to confront people by saying, “this and that is wrong” without presenting them with the only solution for those things that are wrong – the cross of Christ, which is the power of God. (1 Cor. 1:18). Indeed, pastors should refuse to marry gay couples. However, a pastor’s first duty is to engage those couples in a godly conversation, present them with the gospel, and at least try to bring them to Christ. A political agenda will never reach them for Christ. In most cases, people refuse to listen and prefer to continue in their chosen lifestyles. In that case, we should do what Peter and John had done when they were subpoenaed to appear before the Sanhedrin, and answered, “”Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. (Acts 4:19-20). Note carefully, they never refused to obey the authorities God appointed over them, but when it came to things that go contrary to God’s will they had but a single choice and that was to obey God more than the authorities.
I am not saying that born-again Christians should not vote for their particular party. Do so, by all means. However, what is the difference between voting for Part A when Party B is just the mirror image of the same evil in Party A?
The best thing we can do is the following advice.
Thanks Tom/Debs. Yeah I know you are very busy and I appreciate you responding so soon to my question. :thankyou:
Thank you Tom.
That is why DA leader Mmusi Maimane disappoints me so…he is no longer preaching the gospel, what we as Christians are called to do above all else.
Update on my friend who is now actively involved with the Christian Conservative Party. Spoke to him about their Dominionist movement. Boy oh boy. He wasn’t having any of it. Wouldn’t even take a look at the scriptures I sent to support why he needs to get out and fast. I think he has now muted me on whatsapp too. Geez. What I also found worrying/disturbing was his unwillingness to examine the scriptures to see whether Dominionism is biblical or not. Also the scripture he said God gave him as confirmation to go meddle in politics is Psalm 2:8. Scratch/ . Yeah this is one scripture they love to quote to support why they need to go take back the nations for Christ. The whole thing just makes me shudder. I mean when you read that verse and chapter, there’s ABSOLUTELY no correlation whatsoever to what they claim, not even remotely. It is even difficult to arrive at such claim when taken out of context let alone when looked at in context. This devil sure is busy blinding peoples eyes.
Actually, the only way to arrive at such a claim is to equate themselves with Jesus. This is pure heretical theology of the highest order.
I have just been reading your article about false teachers.
Please can you recommend any sound bible studies available online, or by post, or bible teachers?
Also, would you be able to recommend a good study bible for reference? I have been using the life application study bible.
Thank you for any help that you are able to offer in this regard.
Hi Rebecca
Here are a list of websites other than us you can read:
http://www.bereancall.com/
http://www.letusreason.org/
http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/
https://www.wayoflife.org/ (I think this website is ok, he is a Independent Baptist.)
In fact be careful with everything you read, including us – check what the bible has to say.
As for study bibles, I can’t help you because I don’t know of one. I’ve read many and I’m not happy with their version of scripture. Some are better that others but many have specific doctrines embedded in their commentary, for instance I started to listen to a commentary that I dowloaded the other day by someone that appeared to be ok only to find he has 3 doctrines that show up strongly in his commentary; that being anti rapture and you can lose your salvation and water baptism is a must must must – do or die spiritually.
The best you can do Rebecca is get a KJV and an Amplified Bible. Then get multiple commentaries (download E-Sword or The Word) and download commentaries from there. Then you read all your commentaries on the scripture you are wanting to study and if you are still not happy with the answer you Google. lol Be careful of GotQuestions and CARM (they are Calvinist and their doctrine runs rampant through many of their explanations on scripture) having said that they regularly give pretty good answers on questions – that is their trap, because before you know it you are thinking like a Calvinist and that is super dangerous.
You will have to look for your answers all over the place, as the HOLY SPIRIT LEADS YOU INTO ALL TRUTH – He teaches you.
Not saying there isn’t a good commentary out there, I just haven’t found it yet.
Tom do you have any suggestions?
Thanks very much Deborah for your prompt reply and the links. Thank you too for explaining about GotQuestions and CARM and warning about Calvinism. I am only just beginning to read your articles.
I saw that someone had mentioned that there were some sound teachers of the word in the past who have now died?
(Although, I had no idea that Spurgeon was best avoided until I came here too. )
Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for your comment. Indeed, it was a shock to me as well when I started to research Charles Haddon Spurgeon. I am busy writing a new article which proves that he was a real Calvinist and solidly ensconced in TULIP. I hope to finish it soon. Please pray for us and this site because we have many enemies who would like to see us taken down.
