Woman & Delightfully Deceptive New Age Ministries
There is a massive increase in Woman New Age ministries popping up all over South Africa under the disguise of Christianity.
Delightfully Divine Woman Ministries run by Luzanne Nel and Melinda du Plessis is one of them.
The name of their ministry is absolutely terrible. Delightfully Divine Women? This is completely shocking and totally unbiblical. When you become a born again Christian you grow to become more Christ-like, you DO NOT become like Christ or a Christ or anything Divine for that matter. However in New Age teaching you do, you become a god, you realise you are a god trapped in a human body part of a huge cosmos.
Delightfully Divine Woman Ministries say on their website:
Our Vision: Is to be obedient to what the Lord put in our hearts: to build a ministry that will uplift women in a practical fashion, inspiring them to live a fulfilled life in the Lord in their personal divine purpose
Our Mission: Putting our faith into action and fulfill the purpose He gave us!
Clearly they New Age Woman they have read Rick Warrens Purpose Driven Drivel books. (Please read, URGENT WARNING: Rick Warren – A New Age Prescription For Your Health). Now their vision and mission it seems is not to preach the Gospel at all, but too do and speak other unbiblical things that are not found in the bible – let’s have a look shall we…
Their next event will take place on the 15 January 2011, where all woman are requested to:
“Bring your Mother, your Daughter, your Grandmother, or even just a Friend. You will be leaving refreshed and revived ~ Mind, Body, Spirit & Soul”. There is no cost, which is the catch and ultimately draws the crowds. All you are requested to do is “bless their ministry” with an offering “should you feel the desire in your heart to do so”.
The content of the seminar contains:
“Praise, Thanks & Worship, Teaching / Testimony, Soaking, Healing Dance Ministry & One-on-One Prayer.” Dress casual as you need to “Be prepared to set your feet and spirit free to Worship and Dance before Our King”. [Emphasis added]
Soaking is another word for Meditation (the occult version, not biblical prayer). Meditation crept into the church under the disguise of being Christian many years ago and is increasing in popularity. Just because you listen to so called Christian music while practicing an occult practice does not make it Christian. Meditation trains one to clear one’s mind of wandering thoughts and focus on the absolute truth or all. This type of meditative prayer seeks to experience God’s presence through mystical practices, which is dangerously esoteric as you enter a trance like meditative or contemplative state.
While everyone at Delightfully Divine Woman Ministriesare meditating and clearing their minds, the Bible tells you that you are to:
1 Peter 5:8 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
The title of the seminar is Give Praise and Thanks. But to whom? I find it fascinating that no where on the newsletter, nor anywhere on their website do they mention the name of Jesus Christ. But then again they are a New Age ministry disguised as Christian so I should not be that surprised.
Luzanne and Melinda are staging “Delightfully Divine Woman Ministries Healing Dance” or “spirit-led dance therapy to break loose from bondage, to restore broken hearts, to become One with THE ONE and move in the rhythm and flow as [sic] God works in your heart“. [Emphasis added]
There are 2 problems with this; 1) It’s completely unbiblical, 2) It’s completely and utterly New Age.
- No where in the bible does one find spirit led dance therapy or anything of the kind.
- You can’t set the Holy Spirit free but you certainly can freely invite other unclean spirits to enter you.
- The Holy Spirit of the Bible DOES NOT dance, nor does He lead anyone too dance. The fake ‘holy spirit’ (6th Chakra – Third Eye) found in New Age teaching however does.
- Spirit led dance therapy DOES NOT loose you from bondage. Jesus Christ and repentance of sin does.
- Spirit led dance therapy DOES NOT restore broken hearts. Jesus Christ and obedience to His commandments does.
- Dance therapy is actually a type of psychotherapy
- Spirit Led Dance Therapy is just another type of meditative practice and falls under the category of ‘Healing Arts’ within the New Age religion.
- New Age dance therapy uses dance, movement and playing to inspire the body, mind and spirit for a greater sense of wholeness, harmony, and freedom.
- This Dance Meditation engages that creative source (your inner god) supposedly inherent in all of us thereby making each session a magical experience as you connect with a higher energy bigger than yourself ; note Delightfully Divine Woman Ministries say that you, become “One with THE ONE“.
- “This understanding brings us to the most controversial concept of the New Age philosophy: the belief that God lies within, and therefore we are each part of God.” —Shirely Maclaine, Going Within, London: Bantam Books, 1994, p. 100
- New Age Dance Therapy DOES NOT help you find joy, self-acceptance, etc. It is Jesus Christ who is the One who provides ALL these things.
- God DOES NOT work in ones heart via music. ONLY first believing in Jesus Christ and through repentance of sin can God work in ones heart.
- Dancing to different rhythms especially with the purpose of Awakening ones self is actually activating the different Chakras in the body. (Read: 7 Colours of the Rainbow and the 7 Chakras – How the Chakras/Tree of Life have infiltrated Christianity)
- The New Age Tree of Life vs Biblical Tree of Life: Tree of Life – Meditation vs Prayer
The Bible clearly tells us that mankind’s problems DO NOT stem from their ignorance that they are gods but rather that we all have a sinful nature (Romans 3:23). Human beings are not gods. God and humanity stand realms apart in nature and attributes.
But many people will say, but the bible says in John 10:34 “Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”‘?
Let me explain:
Jesus was in dialogue with the Jews of His day and quoting from the Old Testament Psalms, saying: “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”‘? The Jews wanted to stone Jesus for calling God His Father and making Himself equal with God. So Jesus quotes Pslam 82 to them to show the distinction between himself and those in Pslam 82 who were called ‘gods’. Pslam 82 was written AGAINST certain unjust rulers in Israel’s history. Men of high distinction (Judges/Rulers) were almost seen as gods because of the power they wielded over the nation. The problem is these men were UNJUST. Verse 82:2 says: “How long will you judge unjustly, And show partiality to the wicked? and verses 6-7 say, 6 “I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.” 7 But you shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.” So these rulers are not gods, they were given this name by mere men, but were they still children of God? Yes. But they will die like everyone else. So the point Jesus was making was that if unjust rulers can be called gods (by men), how can the Jews who wanted to stone Him object to Him saying that he was the Son of God?
Can you see how easily scripture gets twisted and the next minute you have women running around teaching New Age teachings under the banner of Christianity.
Beware! Delightfully Divine Woman Ministries promote the following books:
- Battlefield of the Mind – Joyce Meyer (See article on Joyce Meyer: Joyce Meyer is a Little God With a Big Christ Consciousness and Joyce Meyer – “Look at Her Fruit”)
- Heaven is So Real – Choo Thomas (See article on Choo Thomas: Choo Thomas – Heaven is so Real – Is it Really?)
- The Shack – William P Young (Please read: THE SHACK – William Paul Young (Part 1) and THE SHACK – William Paul Young (Part 2)
- A Message of Faith – Retha McPherson (Please read: Retha McPherson’s Message from Another God – (Part 1) and Retha McPherson’s Message from Another God – (Part 2))
- The Jesus I never Knew – Philip Yancey (See article: Philip Yancey supports homosexuality – Turning the grace of God into lasciviousness)
Philip Yancey on Unity Between All Religions says; “Perhaps our day calls for a new kind of ecumenical movement: not of doctrine, nor even of religious unity, but one that builds on what Jews, Christians, and Muslims hold in common…. Indeed, Jews, Christians, and Muslims have much in common.” — http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2004/011/18.120.html
On the following webpage it appears Luzunne is receiving extra biblical revelation from another source. A spirit called ‘Wisdom’ says:
“Yes daughter, I am wisdom. Come to Me and seek Me frequently. I will teach you.”
The Holy Spirit of the Bible DOES NOT speak to Christians like this. This is completely demonic.
Again this is what ‘Wisdom’ had to say to Luzanne:
“Daughter, I remind you again today to remain in the flow of My Spirit. Remain in My stream of Living Water.
Allow yourself to float in the gentle stream of life.
Moses was just a baby boy floating down My River of Grace, and the gentle flow of My stream took him to ultimate purpose and destiny.
Moses remained faithful and obedient to my instruction almost until the end. He became weary and impatient. He denied divine destiny & instruction.
He chose to follow self. I had to withdrew my hand of blessing and reward.” [Emphasis added]
‘Wisdom’ (another name for her is goddess Sophia) is not very wise and a downright demonic liar because no where in the Bible do I find that Moses denied God in any way and no where did God remove His hand from him. Once again, just the slight twisting of scripture; Moses never entered the promise land, but he most certainly entered Heaven.
This is what the Bible says:
The appearance of Moses and Elijah when Jesus Christ is Transfigured
Matthew 17:1-4
1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
Right…
Now I do not know if Luxanne and Melinda are ignorant too what they are doing, or they know fully well what they are doing by pushing this New Age rubbish onto unsuspecting people. We will find out soon enough. They have 2 choices, carry on in error or learn the Gospel truth and stop leading others astray – and possibly change their little ministry into something truly special for God.
In the mean time it is my duty to warn women and children out there as to what this New Age ministry is all about.
Notes and Updates:
25 Jan 2011 – It would appear after all the warnings, DDWM is still continuing in error with even more conferences.
Burning Lamp and Michael , thanx for your feedback and mails …you have hit it on the nail … we as christians should be as sharp as blades, to be watchmen for all,to concern .. because we serve our Lord to serve the lost.To help and pray.Nothing goes unseen by the Father on earth or in heaven.
“Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you;
I will uphold you with my righteousness right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 this was my word for today.
Seems Debs that you are under attack for speaking the truth. Keep up your good work. I also took flack for being anti Ms Meyer. She was in SA a while back and someone invited me to go. When i explained my reasons for not wanting to i got many of the above comments thrown at me. There is one God who gave His beloved Son to die for my Salvation. He gave me a book the Bible which tells me everything i need to know i do not need the word according to Joyce…or whoever. The comment which cracked me up was ‘ but joyce tells it like it is” perhaphs this is what is wrong in our churches today. When did you last hear a pastor preach about hell and all those lost souls who are going there, about true repentance etc. The God of the bible tells it like it is no grey areas. enjoy your day!
Can this be the same TB that posted on another thread that he/she believes in 100% truth? If so, how does TB defend this DDW promotion of false teaching? Methinks TB speaks out of both sides of the mouth or is confused. All is not sweetness and light – there is evil lurking and it needs to be exposed for the sake of those who may be harmed by it. And trust me, people WILL be harmed by The Shack and other materials promoted.
Anton asks a good question: Are these women overseen by a pastor or men in leadership? Yes, their ministry is to women, but do they seek advice from any kind of pastoral leadership? Do they have the support of their husbands? Valid questions.
I hope they come back and dialogue – Elaine’s response was not adequate and she is mainly the webmaster and not in a teaching position.
BL
That is the same TB. That is why I keep asking her if she still thinks I speak hatefully. Hmmm.
The real scary issue here is that not the ministry , not Luzanne Nel or Melinda du Plessis, not their husbands , not their pastors or leaders or dominees had the nerve to tackle this very issue about the character and image of their so called healing/ divine issues . I have a feeling that they do not have the knowledge about the real truth and spiritual dealings , they are not guided by their (1) husbands and their pastors. i can go so far to say that if this is the type of “covering” thay have then there are other very worring and serious factors in their community that is very untrustfull .. But they most probably are spoon fed, and believe every Sunday that thay are the “chosen” group … i don’t want to sound very critical but they should stand up for the Spirit of Truth or the spirit of error.
one has heard the saying >> you are either pregnant or not you cannot be 80 % preggies …. love to all and also to those who are struggling with the truth … :-)))
Ironic how the knuckle dusters come out the moment the Sword strikes?
Debs, I am concerned about Retah’s (or is it Retha) connections with Sid Roth… And Sid’s other connections.
Robbie , can you give us some info on this Sid Roth ???? anton
Hi Anton.
Sid Roth has endorsed the Lakeland revival, calling it one of the greatest moves of God’s spirit in a hundred years. He says that Todd Bentley’s meetings are pregnant with the presence of God.
He is also Messianic Jew
Here is a “prophecy Tod Bentley gave regarding Sid…
“The Lord is speaking to me (the Angel). He just spoke to me about Sid Roth….I just heard the Lord interrupt me and tell me that this anointing is gonna begin to break out in your ministry on the television and something over the airwaves, I mean the radio again. God’s going to anoint you in a whole new way and this miracle anointing is going to go around the world if you will pray for the sick. Bam! It will be released in a mighty way.”
Anton.
Here is an interview between “Supernatural Sid Roth” and “Tattoo Todd Bentley”.
Hope you can open this link?

And then Retha’s interview with Sid Roth.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A75aVmcviOk
Sid Roth is sometimes on the Elijah list. The Elijah list keeps all the “apostles” and “prophets” in touch with one another. It regularly puts out false prophecies. I subscribe to it just to keep tabs on the New Apostolic Reformation. I am glad that i do because I saw one of the local “apostles” from my area on there.
Sid Roth is way off course as far as being biblical goes. I think that he would endorse anything “supernatural” !lol
Robbie >>> I CANT SEEM TO GET THIS CLIP , ARE YOU SURE ITS NOT TODD AND SID ?? ( THIS RETHA …. IS HER SURNAME MCPHERSON ??????
THANX ANTON

Pleasure Uncle Robbie…
Robbie , Debs thanx , would like to ask you ….. was there something said /done/happening that you felt was not right or perhaps not real in spirit and truth . This is not the first time , but every time there is a speech or teaching …Miss South Africa always comes up ..i find that nogal very proud and a status factor ????? thanx
Anton
Oh YES OF COURSE. I am in the process of writing an article on her and her son. This is a demonic situation through and through. Forget about the status factor, there is a lot more to this story.
Anton…
coming up I am sure. Die tannie krap nog 🙂
Mail me [EMAIL REMOVED: Emailed email address to Anton]
Oh you ‘re so clever! Thanks Deborah.
I am thinking.. The hate crime bill was passed in US of A last year October.
Wonder how much time true Christians have left to speak their minds freely here in the RS of A?
Robbie
I dread to think. Let’s hope long enough!
Eric
>> Thank God I am free and able to discern between the true message of Christianity, and the garbage spewed out here as being Bible based truths.
You kidding right? So meditation is biblical? Hmmm. Gee and all this time I thought it was New Age.
As I was reading this discussion, which I found rather painful, I had to ask myself a few questions:
1.Are we as quick to pray (for all these people who we bind with our unloving words) as we are to judge? Am I? As I read this, I was also judged before I loved, so this is directed at me as much as at any of you.
2. Are we as quick to bless others as we are point to their mistakes?
3. Do we make a habit of communicating these kinds of thoughts and concerns to the people we have them about? Is not that what the Bible calls us to do? Is this the spirit 2 Tim 1:7 speaks of – to slander in public rather than correct in private first?
In her book “A message of Hope”, Retah calls on Christians to forgive, set free and bless even those who have wronged them. She also tells readers to judge her teaching against the Word and the testimony of the Holy Spirit.
Math 7:1 “Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.”
Rom 14: 11- 13 “But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.”
May the Lord bless you with a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. May the lord use you boldly to further his love.
Hanelie
One of the most misused verses in the Bible is, “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” (Matthew 7:1). Every Scripture verse should be read in its context, if we are to properly understand the true meaning. In vs.2-5 of this same chapter it is evident that v.1 is referring to hypocritical judgment.
A brother who has a beam in his own eye should not be judging the brother who may have a mote in his eye. The lesson is plain, you cannot judge another for his sin if you are guilty of the same sin.
Those who cling to “Judge not, that ye be not judged,” to condemn those who expose error should read the entire chapter. Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing…” (v.15).
How can we know false prophets unless we judge them by the Word of God? If we know the false prophets, how can we fail to warn the sheep of these “ravening wolves?” All through the Bible we find proof that they should be identified and exposed.
“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit” (vs.16,17). Did the Lord mean that we could not judge the tree (person), by the fruit of their life and doctrine? Certainly not, for you cannot know without judging.
All judgment should be on the basis of Bible teaching, not according to whims or prejudices.
“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” (John 7:24). Here our Lord commands that we are to “judge righteous judgment,” which is judgment based upon the Word of God.
Robbie,
Robbie wrote:
I have never read this to apply only to those guilty of the same sin. Instead, I have read it to be similar to the case of John 8. Interesting.
I agree that we should judge what we see around us with the help of the Bible and the Holy Spirit. It is the condeming of people with words like “idiot” and “sucker” that bugs me. Based on that, what are the fruits (Mat 7: 16,17) displayed here? Should I judge this blog as demonic because it does not display the fruit mentioned in Gal 5:22? Surely not.
hanelie
There you go again, please tell me where I or anyone who is a GENUINE Christian on this site has called anyone a sucker or an idiot for that matter. Are you looking for trouble or what? You are lying, stop it. What FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT is that! lying! If you judge this blog to be demonic – go ahead, that’s your opinion, no one elses – thank goodness.
Dear Deborah,
I’ve spent many years of my life angry. Through the soft whispers of the Holy Spirit, I knew my anger and impatience with those around me was wrong. Eventually, as I persisted in my own fleshly ways, I stopped hearing the voice of God. Not because He stopped talking, but because I had allowed anger to become un-forgiveness and bitterness. In time, my anger and impatience grew to the point where I would react to people even before I had time to think about it. Last year, God opened my eyes to this through the Holy Spirit and the love of his children. Through my un-repented anger and un-forgiveness, I had put a barrier between me and Jesus and I had allowed Satan a foothold in my life. Thankfully and mercifully, God did not give up on me. Not because I deserved it, but because of His nature, which is love (even for the unlovable ones).
Over the past few months, He has been weeding the roots of anger and bitterness from my soul, piece by piece. I had to learn to submit every thought to Christ. To choose love, daily. It is an amazing process, painful at times, but the truth has set me free and I have been delivered from many destructive habits. Through this process, God has repeatedly led me to scripture and teaching about love and forgiveness (amongst others). I have learned that Christians are nothing like the world. The world preaches revenge and anger. Jesus teaches love and forgiveness. It is so different to the world that is almost incomprehensible. I have to choose stand firm against Satan when he tries to work it back into my life every day. I loved a good “fight”. I no longer do, but it is a daily process of obedience.
I have prayed for months that God would give me something of Jesus’ love, of His heart. That He would bless me with the ability to see others as He does. This Sunday, I experienced that for the first time. It was an unexpectedly humbling moment. Last night, as I was figuring out how to respond to your posts (how to defend myself, because that is the old, fleshly me), God granted me His truly amazing grace once again – removing from my heart the desire to react, to prove you wrong. It didn’t happen all at once. I am not this amazing person who is above such worldly things. Quite the opposite. I was working actively on collecting evidence in my defence when He closed one door after another. And, finally, when I stopped to listen, He showed me my own heart and then His.
So, where I have hurt you through foolishly quoting words that I do not even know who they belonged to (because I never followed the links they came in), please forgive me. Deborah, what I felt, when I finally listened last night, was your hurt. I have seen the way people react on this board. We will be hurt by the world, because they do not understand. We should not hurt each other though. God reiterated that this morning when He led me to 1 Corinthians 3. About 20 days ago, I started reading the Bible from Romans, a chapter a day. God already knew then that I would need to read 1 Cor 3 today (not to correct you, but because He would need to correct me through it) before I started this study. Isn’t that amazing?
Deborah, I pray that God would continue His work in each of us, because none of us are finished yet – just set aside. I pray that He will heal your hurt and grant you His eyes and heart, because in His eyes you (and everyone else on this blog) are special.
hanelies
Thank you hamelie, you are a wonderful lady, and yes please do understand that there are countless conversations on this blog that go on and on (across articles) that can and will be misconstrued. This I do understand and that is what I was trying to tell you, but it’s difficult I know.
You know, to be honest, every-time I get a negative comment it does not hurt me anymore (it used to hurt me), now it just wears me down. But what can we expect, did the bible not say we will be hated because we love Jesus? And in the end times does it not say that the Man of Lawlessness will wear down the saints? We live in a world right now that is completely and utterly devoid of any Christianity, well let’s say 5% are really Christian. That’s a staggeringly low figure. So when I log onto this blog and I check the comments I brace myself for what I am to read, I know it’s not going to be nice. And when I read nice comments I rejoice and thank Jesus for HIS MARVELOUS WORK (not mine). Why don’t I close the comments section? For the simple reason that people (unbeknown the themselves) actually help me expose false teaching through their comments and help me do their own dirty work. So I take the heat. And isn’t it amazing how I am always the bad one lol, me, me, me. Over 2400 people have commented on this blog against 1 person, me. I think the odds are a bit against me don’t you think? You see everyone only thinks they are they only person commenting on this blog, no one else, so it’s them against me. 1 on 1, but it’s not. You may as well throw me into a stadium full of people and let them all curse me at once.
But I will carry on regardless, HAH! Because I STAND FOR THE TRUTH. And standing means everyone else is usually sitting, so I am sticking out like a sore thumb. Standing also meanings that I am going against the grain of society and that will make people unhappy, it makes people even more unhappier because I am preaching the gospel truth and that cuts through them like a double edged sword.
Dear Deborah, I have been reading some of the articles and responses on the site and not even sure if i am on the right page to be asking questions but, if you could bear with me – it will be great. For a while now i have been feeling like a loose wheel and am not able to find a ‘church’ where i feel i belong. Ministers preaching nonsense and everything in me has to stop me from standing up in the middle of the sermon and asking him how he can justify saying what he does, but I guess I am a coward. Then I go to another church and I don’t belong, it could be something seemingly insignifcant that the Minister says “come Holy Spirty, come and be with us” and i just want to leave, because we came into the church with the Holy Spirit and so I start thinking there is something wrong with me. Why is church not like it is meant to be. Where everyone brings something, be it a song, a message, etc but in stead we have one person who works himself to a stand still and eventually burns out or turns to his one philosophies, etc. Am I going mad? How do i find out where I belong?
