hi …i noticed that you dont have
john paul jackson listed on your modern day false prophets list…
I wonder why Tim LaHaye’s name is not on the list. It surely should be.
Kath
Now Tim LaHay’s name is mentioned, thanks to you 🙂
I think there are so many people’s name that have been missed out… we could go on forever listing them if we were to start in earnest mentioning them all.
As I’m reading down the list of comments, my heart wants to jump out of my chest,it’s beating so hard. I’ve never in my life read such closedminded, judgmental comments. I’m not someone who reads Christian books or other literature but one thing I always hold close to guide my walk with Jesus, the commandments He gave us, ‘love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind’ and ‘love your neighbour as you love yourself’. Please remember that, especially with regard to those you so easily call false prophets and false teachers en ‘satanic’ and ‘demonic’. You can learn from anyone, even if you learn what not to do. God created us with free will in His image, and Satan cannot do anything to you unless you give permission or allow it. And to the baby Christians, read the Word, but if you do get confused, focus on the words Jesus Christ spoke (sometimes in red).
Blessings to all and may the new year bring you peace and joy!

If you really love Jesus and your neighbor you’d better start warning your neighbors who may have fallen prey to false teachers and their false doctrines. Paul loved his brethren so much that he warned them in the following way:
If you don’t warn them you don’t love them. It’s as simple as that.
You wrote:
Really? Can you learn from Satan, the father of all lies? The very fact that you are reprimanding us and suggesting that you can even learn from your arch enemy, is enough proof that you are already deceived, and heavily deceived at that.
Oooohhhh. Christian website. Makes sense now. What a dangerously limited perspective of the world you have, author.
Hello,
I went to a Catholic retreat and we were given hand outs on The Discerning Heart. I was alarmed on a paper called, personal compass…..the wording seemed to creep New Age doctrine before my eyes. It focused on creative energy level being released, embracing something new, what needed to be released, etc. Creepy. Do you have other info on the authors, Wiikie Au and Noreen Cannon Au? Thanks so much for your website and the authors on the danger list.
Diane
Diane,
I don’t know much about Wiiki and Noreen Cannon Au. However my discerning faculties sprung into action when I read the following here:
The Bible never refers to the Spirit of God as “the creative Spirit hovering over our world.” He is known as the Holy Spirit. Yes, the Spirit hovered over the world when it was first created but He has never been called the “creative Spirit hovering over our world.” He lives in the spirits of all blood-washed children of God and it is there from whence He leads and teaches them to discern between the true and the false.”
Read this article to learn more about Carl Jung and his doctrines of demons.
Wiiki and Noreen Cannon Au endorse meditation. Read here. They consulted Jung’s demons to formulate their own spirituality. Run as fast as you can – in the opposite direction.
Watch this video to see how Wiikie (or is it Wilkie) Au and a Rabbi distort the meaning of atonement.

Hi, I’ve just read this link and surprised by so many names that you’ve listed here.
It seems that you opposed the charismatic movement, apostolic movement, prophetic movement, and calvinist. Can you tell me what’s the doctrine that is followed in this site? Reformed? And maybe you have a link or articles of why those movements are considered false by this site?
Thanks
Peter,
We don’t follow doctrine; we follow Christ who said because if you truly follow Christ Jesus you will follow his doctrine.
It is your duty to examine everything in the light of Scripture and if it does not harmonize with Scripture, you must reject it. Are you a Calvinist?
No, I’m not a calvinist.
I am flattered to see my name included among the blacklisted authors on topics concerning Centering Prayer, Church Growth, Contemplative Spirituality, Mysticism, etc.
St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, St. Hildegard of Bingen are Doctors of the Church in Roman Catholicism. Thomas Merton, Gerald May, Eugene Peterson, and Teilhard de Chardin, among many other names on your list, have inspired millions to a deeper walk with Christ in the Spirit.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for including my feeble contributions among such an amazing list.
Peace, Philip St. Romain
Philip St. Romain
You’re welcome! Judas Iscariots’ name is included among such an amazing list of names as Peter, John, James (son of Zebedee and older brother of John), Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, Simon the Zealot, Thaddaeus-Judas, James (son of Alphaeus) and even Jesus Christ. Congratulations, Philip St. Romain!
Ha ha. Good one, Tom. 🙂 So nice to know that there is someone, somewhere in this world who knows who the good guys and the bad guys really are. But I note that you include John of the Cross and St. John of the Cross. Padding the list?
Re. the five Doctors of the Church on your list: your negative judgments of them say way more about you than they do the life, work and writings of these people.
Well, what I wrote is true, isn’t it? Judas Iscariot’s name is listed with some of the most illustrious persons in history. Nonetheless, you may want to read these articles.

Hello Debs
Thank you for this bit. If I did not know any better I would have thought I was Anon. I have been battling a few months now with more or less the same anon has been. I can so relate to how Anon is feeling I too was once deceived and thought WOW I am a real Christian on fire for the Lord meanwhile “following” my best friend as she proclaimed she was a Prophet aijajajajai. I will be heading to the store for this Topical Bible.
It is so so easy once you first give your heart to the Lord to actually start following man and not God.
Regards
me
Dear Sonja
You will notice that in the bible you have bought that next to some of the verses it has verses mentioned. These are called chain verses. In the bible mostly every verse is linked to another verse some times quit a few verses – read these chain linked verses and chapters of these verses and you will begin to understand the bible ☺
Aaah thank you Deborah appreciate it 🙂
Hi Tom,
The writer Edwin L Cole, seems to have written a few books and so on….he apparently was someone that could have been mentored by Aimee Mcpherson…..that in itself is not too good though, and
he could have been involved with Promise Keepers as well…..have not looked into that thoroughly though.
Any comments please , to clarify.
johan
I’d like to know why Pastor Joseph Prince is on this list??? I also found out within the last 6 weeks, all his material was pulled from the shelves at Mardel’s. Does anyone know why??
Thank you!
Robin T
Dear Robin
Because he is a false teacher.
We have been visiting a Baptist Church in Winfield, IL.
Recently, the pastor recommended that we read “Sacred Marriage” by Gary Thomas.
This is very prevalent where we live.
It is so confusing to sit in “church” and hear this being promoted.
[Edited by DTW – here is an article about Gary Thomas’ Books: https://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?p=2515%5D
For the list please.
Received an Email today about a woman named Ana Mendez Ferrel, “who claims to be an apostle of the Lord Jesus (Whom she calls Yeshua). Like many New Age false prophets, this lady claims miraculous powers, which, according to her, she received when the heavens opened and God “downloaded” His powers upon her. Consequently, she purports to have this amazing ability to speak in previously unknown tongues. She also claims to have the ability to raise people from the dead and even said that she resurrected her own daughter, who she said had died after breaking her neck.
Ms. Ferrel said that she received this power after she first repented to God, then asked Jesus to forgive her, and finally took “communion” (Charismatic speak for the Lord’s Supper). She claims that the power to do these miracles comes from the blood of Jesus, and is available to anyone who partakes of the Lord’s Supper, which she claims to take every day.”
I have read the long list here and I appreciate your diligence, but I may have missed the positive list or recommended reading. I have over the years accumulated several thousand books in my library and it includes several on your list. I do not think it is appropriate here to debate any of them. But it would be good if we had a list of “The Good Books and the good writers, so we could benefit from what the Lord has blessed His servants with to benefit the body of Christ. Blessings, Billy R.
Dear Billy Reavis
These are the only books we recommend: The Bible, preferably KJV and/or Amplified, and a Strong’s Concordance 🙂
I was searching for Priscilla Shirer and finally found her to be a false teacher on another site, but couldn’t find her listed here. Here’s the site I found her on. You can click on her name to see the article that shows why she’s a false teacher:
