… and for what it’s worth. Copy and paste this link and stay on the page to hear it from the horse’s mouth. Myles Munroe reckons God needs his permission to react.
Balaam’s ass had more knowledge of scripture and interpretation.

He also endorses the false sayings of Benni Hinn, the Copelands and the rest of the TBN squad.
He said Jesus NEVER preached about Himself and together with Benny Hinn, they are waiting for Jesus to appear on TV to start some miracle healings… painting lines on the road for the Antichrist.
Would like to see your reply…

I was a member of Theo Wolmarans church and went through the first year of his bible school. I don’t see much about him though even though i know he is a false teacher. Yours is the only site I’ve found him on. He’s not big here in the states but is pretty huge (as far as i know) in South Africa. What you responded to Shayna was spot on! I would have once gotten offended also, but I also followed a man. Now I only allow the Holy Spirit to teach me and have put church service and man in their proper place. Sadly many, who earnestly love Jesus, are unknowingly really worshipping an idol, and themselves.

Thank the Lord Jesus that your eyes were opened to the truth and that you are now being taught by the Holy Spirit!! It’s the most wonderful thing when He teaches us.

Your effort is commendable, but i feel you have rejected some author like Derek Prince without really going through their teaching. I also have found immense Spiritual truth and encouragement through authors like Reinhard Bonnke, Choo Thomas, Rebecca Brown, Richard Foster and a few others.

It is good and wise to receive spiritual counsel and wisdom from other Spirit-filled Christians without being too paranoid about them. The Holy Spirit always filters out the false from the truth.

I came across your website which I find helpful in my walk with Jesus. I have been reading/ listening to David Pawson’s teaching and wonder if he is sound. Please help.

Also, I felt a little down as it also seems that many churches are one way or another subscribing to things that are not scriptural. I wouldn’t mind at all if I am to fellowship with Jesus alone with my husband but I am not too sure that is the way to go either. I wonder if all true believers in the western civilisation have somehow gone ‘underground’.

One of the comments above is certainly interesting with regards to unholy dreams. I can only see it as demonic. I seem to have increased attacks of this kind too which I normally woke up calling out the name of Jesus and rebuking/ rejecting the dreams in His Name. I believed the Holy Spirit is waking me up at the critical moments.

You are correct about one thing- your last sentence. The spirit of antichrist works through all of the people you have listed. They teach and preach the doctrines of demons, which are directly opposed to The Gospel of Jesus Christ. You should be very afraid if these are your “spiritual counselors”. As to Deborah, to make an inference that she is not going to Heaven is a great insult, and shows the spirit that you are coming from, and it is NOT Holy.

I’ve often heard (and made) similar statements about questionable teachers. I have also tried to make sense of it for a while. Then, recently, when a friend told me that she viewed deception as 90% truth, 10% lies, it all made sense. Of course – if it was 100% lies, it would be recognizable as lies and would not be deception any longer, would it? And it is that “90%” which trips people. They hear it; it makes sense, and it might even “build” them spiritually. They either don’t recognize or choose to ignore that one little thing that nags. And, as they become dulled to that one lie, another can creep in in the same way, until all the lies start to build on one another. And before they know it, everything they believe is built on lies. And to topple that, means to topple a constellation of lies, often one by one! This is a very dangerous game. And, one I would rather not get into willingly.

A quick example. A guy I listened to recently (from a Theology Faculty) spoke about the immense power of moral values, the important of helping your child build a strong self image, having great self worth, and more self, self and self. What is the problem with this? The supposedly innocent focus on self, which undermines exactly what Christianity is about. As a Christian, I must crucify self (the flesh) and find my identity in Christ and my worth in the price He pas for me! If I teach my kids from a young age to practice SELF in this way, I am making it exceedingly difficult for them to crucify self and find their identity in Christ.

10% false is still false. In fact, 1% lies, is still false.

Sherry B., this is a case of “willful blindness” – we are seeing a lot of this more and more everyday. Man respecting man over the Word of God. Reading books by men (and women) over the final authority, the Bible. Of course the Bible has come under attack with perversions such as The Message.

  17. blank Wayne says:

Hi, thank you for posting this list. Do you have a list of books that are ok to read?

I have been to the Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, Harv Eker, Brian Tracy and others seminars, bought their books and cds to help build my Real Estate business. No wonder it never worked well. Since that time I have no real Estate business but that’s better then being involved in false teachings. I learned its all witchcraft and sorcery which includes the use of incantations, visualizations, positive thinking and imaging. As of now the only book I read is the bible.

  18. Wayne

The only book I read is the Bible 🙂 You can read Dr Henry Ironside (but as with EVERYTHING, listen to the Holy Spirit!!!!!!)
If you want your business to success pray to Jesus Christ and ask Him to help your business succeed (and for the RIGHT reasons, not to become rich, but that you can live comfortably). And ask Jesus forgiveness for reading all those other books that entail witchcraft – break any satanic affliction over you.

  19. blank Redeemed says:

Wayne, so many Christians fall into the trap of these “self-help” type books. There are even “Christian” motivational speakers and business gurus who are nothing but wolves disguised as sheep. They toss around Bible verses that fool believers into thinking their methods are biblical.

One has to be so very careful and prayerful. As Deborah says, Dr. H.A. Ironside who has long gone to his reward is a good source to keep handy while reading the Word. His commentaries and expositional studies of the Word are helpful. But he himself would say that he is but a humble servant and we should test what he says by the Word with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord gives the gift of teaching to edify the Church and help us rightly divide the Word. But we need wisdom and discernment. Personally I don’t trust living authors as the Church is in apostasy and so many have compromised the faith. I have been disappointed over and over again. For example, Ironside’s books are rare and one has to make an effort to find them. But I have found them well worth the effort. Not to glorify Ironside in any way as he would absolutely reject that, but I guess he has gained my respect and trust over the years. Clarence Larkin for eschatology is another.

  21. blank Rebekah says:

Hi, I didn’t see his name on the list, but I would like to recommend Bill Gotherd. He is the founder of the Institute for Basic Life Principles, otherwise known as IBLP…..

A very known group among baptist churches, and very cultish in behaviour. One of the most obvious characteristics of this cult is that families involved have extremely large populations, and you must homeschool using their own brand of curriculum…at the time he founded his cult, he was neither a husband nor a father, and people who have worked closely with him, and have left the cult, say he was very controlling in nature, and commanded respect and grace given to him that was not freely expressed to others who were under his leadership. Maybe just google him, and see what else pops up….

    Thank you for the responses.
John Chingford has been a blessing to me which is how I came about here. I tripped upon John’s site somehow a few months back, imagine that! John and I have shared some emails. It sure is nice to have well biblical grounded Christian friends to chat with. I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and filled with the Holy Ghost in Sept. 1994 but seem to still struggle with listening to the Holy Spirit, among other things lol

Any suggestions on how to listen to the Holy Spirit better?

    >> Is there a Christian TV channel available that preaches the truth, the gospel?

    nope

Vincent > I agree with Deborah and i have watched them all or at least tried, lol.
I used to think that TCT (total Christian television) was ok but not anymore, too many false preaching going on especially about money, its unreal. Also IMO TCT asks for to many donations with promises behind that, which is a red flag to me.
I do not like secular tv and its already been proven through many university studies to cause all types of health problems.

Remember that Satan controls 99% of the entertainment Ind. and Demons/spirits can torment our souls in two powerful ways through smoke like cigerates, pot etc. and television. Also many yrs. ago I was hard core rock n roll guy and partier and smoked all kinds of things. I have done many evil things in the past. Then I accepted Jesus after spending time in jail back in 1994 so I speak from experience too.

In addition ever wonder why its so much easier to watch tv pastors or listen to cd’s then it is to read the bible?
Let that soak in… Read your bible (KJV) 1 hr a day is far better than watching 3-4 hrs of message preaching IMHO

Yes, very important to spend time in the Word of God.

One must always be carefull when shopping for a book to read at a christian shop, When you read someones material make sure that person is living a holy life and confesses Jesus.

I would like to say that it is dangerous to label some of the people like in this article, because it is sinfull if you are wrong.

In the bible it is clear that their will be false propets, but you will know them by their fruit. And they will not confess Jesus. Always keep that in mind before we just judge someone.

    Matt 7:15-20

    1John 4:1-6

    2Pet 2:1-3

    2Pet 2:14

    2Pet 2:18

It is evedent that we will know then by their fruit, not just false profhets but anybody claiming to be a christian.

    Amen

I don’t understand why you would say such a thing? The people described here have been clearly identified as being dangerous to the people of God. And they are not the only ones. No one is falsely accusing them. The Bible says that we are to “mark” and “avoid” them and alert others.

It takes courage to do so and is to be commended.

Well, I do not know these people, so I will not be able to say.
Recognise some of the names like Rebecca Brown, Dutch Sheets, Angus.
Have they shown any bad fruits which I am unaware of.

However, if someone is homosexual and claims to be a followever of Jesus, then I agree with you, do not read there books or listen to any of there teachings. Can a homosexual become a Christian, yes but then that person must repent and confess his or her sins. Correct me if you think I am wrong but homosexuality is demonic and when you turn to Jesus and as for forgivesness and that curse/demon will be removed. Just read Lev 18 on sexual purity.

I also believe that evolution is false and will not read anything like that. We are not some monkey that got lucky.

Anything cultic, new age or any other wierd thing, wil never read, not even for research, I cannot even if I try.

99% of the time I read my Bible. The New King James Version.

  29. Kenneth

Rebecca Brown: Rebecca Brown – WARNING! Don’t Bind Yourself in her Books

Dutch Sheets is part of the New Apostolic Reformation along with a whole HOST of baddies including C Peter Wagner, Lou Engle – Read this article…

Angus Buchan: See ALL articles on here here – https://www.discerningtheworld.com/category/pastors-teachers-speakers/a/angus-buchan-shalom-ministries/

Bad Fruit also includes continually following FALSE DOCTRINE Kenneth, not just sin like homosexuality.

    Kenneth # 88,

I would please respectfully ask you to spend some time on this website. You will find plenty of info on the names you mentioned and why they are on this watch list. In fact, it is almost laughable that you would not be aware of their bad fruits.

But you could be posing an honest question and one must give you the benefit of the doubt. So please check out the info on the various articles on these people. Sexual orientation really has nothing to do with it and if you are basing your assessment on that, you are asking to be deceived.

So please, do your homework – much research and labor has gone into the wealth of information available here. Make use of it to your edification and protection. Then come back and give us an informed opinion.

And in reference to your previous post, it is a sin NOT to expose false teachers.
