NIRSANational Initiative for the Reformation of South Africa – NIRSA

In April 2008, 450 ministers/pastors/bishops/reverends etc, were invited to a conference at the Birchwood Conference Centre in Boksburg, South Africa to hash out a way forward with regards to the ongoing problems South Africa faces on a daily basis. The aim:- bring back Christian values to South Africa. Sounds great doesn’t it.AngusBuchan

If you are a truly born again Christian reading this article, you will know that we are indeed living in the end times. The problem is a lot of truly born again Christians do not realise that the end times means just that END times, not BETTER times. Jesus warns us many many times that in the last days that false Christ’s and false prophets will rise bringing with them a doctrine of demons that will deceive millions of Christians…yes Christians, not unbelievers (they are already deceived).

Over the last few years, ‘revivals’ have been springing up all around the world and are gaining in magnitude with regards to the number of revival gatherings, to the number of people attending. South Africa has now too witnessed this, with the likes to Angus Buchan author of ‘Faith like Potatoes’ drawing thousands upon thousands of people to hear his message of Revival with teaching that relies heavily on faith and hope.

It all sounds wonderful, and it tugs at our heart strings and emotion rises in us when we see the photo’s of stadiums filled with Christians seeking God. However in the Word of God no where does Jesus ever say there will be revival in the last days. He says the exact opposite. Jesus tells us that the world we live in is going to get worse and worse and that there will be an apostasy (a great falling away from the faith) before the anti-Christ reveals himself.

Jesus said in 2 Thessalonians 2: 3;   “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction”

The Bible also says that when Jesus Christ returns He doubts He will find any faith left on earth:

Luke 18:8;   “I say to you that He will carry out the arrangement of them speedily. But the Son of Man coming then, shall He find faith on the earth?”

(i.e., the earth is going to be practically faithless when He returns, yet the world is ushering in revival and a new faith in Christ and thousands of people are turning to God. Therefore the question we desperately have to ask is which ‘god’, which Christ are you talking about here?).

So when I stumbled across this Declaration of Intent (1st Draft) of the National Initiative for the Reformation of South Africa (NIRSA) I was Michael Cassidyactually a bit dumbfounded; firstly because of the number of ‘Christian’ people who attended the conference, secondly because of the subtle wording that will ultimately one day (soon) form part of a One World Religion, and thirdly because if I am not mistaken South Africa is the first country to do something like this – please correct me if I am wrong on this. Michael Cassidy who organised this conference is an Emergent Church promoter (interfaith supporter).

This document mentions Jesus’ name, speaks of the Holy Spirit and repentance of sin. It mentions prayer, the great commission (preaching the gospel to the nations), bible reading, bible teaching and discipleship.

But at the same time it mentions:  revival, social transformation, ‘Christian’ unity with the focus on what will unite us, a strong emphasis on the prophetic, ‘Christian values’ that anyone Christian or non-Christian can learn through education, dominion over creation, ecological responsibility (which means they do not believe the Word of God with regards to the end times), a desire to eradicate racism of all sorts (this will lead to you as a truly born again Christian being persecuted for your belief), the need for a ‘Biblical’ economic system, the creation of ‘think tanks’ or work groups within NIRSA and a communications desk which will operate out of a New Biblical Worldview understanding’ and last but not least to bring together ‘Biblical theologians’ who can explore how to present and release this ‘new Biblical Worldview’ to undiscerning Christians.

Michael – you are a bit behind the times, the theological faculties at our universities and our bible schools have been teaching this poison for years already which means hundreds of pastors have been introduced into our church system who had to write their exams based on unbiblical teaching. It’s no miracle so many showed up at your conference, the numbers only confirm the apostate situation in South Africa.”

Watch and Pray:

Luke 21:36;    “But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

I Peter 4:7; “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Testing the Spirits:

I John 4:1-3;   “1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.”

I Thessalonians 5:21;   “But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good

Looking to the Word of God as the ONLY foundation for sound doctrine and prophecy than relying or trusting in men, their understanding or experiences:

2 Timothy 3:16;    “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness

2 Peter 1 :20;   “But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation

The sufficiency of scripture as the only TRUE guide to living life, no dot or tittle to be added or taken away.  YourN EW biblical worldview is flawed and man made foolishness and will lead the world to destruction.

 Palsms 19:7-11

7      The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8     The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9     The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether.
10   They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
11   Moreover, by them Your servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great reward.

That pastors who know the truth for the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth may not remain silent, but warn and protect their flock from the deception that runs rampant. For YOU will be held accountable:

1 Peter 5:2;   “shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness

Acts 20:28;   “Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”

Hebrews 13:17;   “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.”

Jeremiah 23:1-2   “1 Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture!” declares the LORD. 2 Therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning the shepherds who are tending My people: “You have scattered My flock and driven them away, and have not attended to them; behold, I am about to attend to you for the evil of your deeds,” declares the LORD”

Here is the NIRSA document for download http://www.spirituality.org.za/files/NIRSA.doc. It’s not a long read, and I encourage you to read it slowly and thoroughly, testing it in it’s entirety to the Word of God.

The Jesus that is mentioned in this document is NOT Jesus Christ of the Bible – it is a counterfeit Christ an Emerging Christ. And it will lead you to an ecumenical acceptance of all religions believing in one God, for every major religion awaits the return of their ‘Christ’.

I also encourage you to read up on Dominion Theology / Restoration Theology or Kingdom Now theology. The idea is to conquer the earth, or reclaim the earth for Christ. The doctrine revolves around building an army of God, or an army of Christians bringing forth the will of God in these last days, or rallying up the youth to uphold Kingdom Values/Christian values thereby becoming a mighty force to be reckoned with. Many pastors proclaim that they do not believe in Dominionist theology, yet at the same time believe and teach the same ideas. Just because one does not use the same terminology, does not mean it’s not the same theology. I also encourage you to read up on Transformation.  Transformation falls under the category of the Emergent Church.

Word of Faith, New Apostolic Reformers and the Emerging Church are starting to intertwine because the end goal for each of these movements is to reach godhood and live in a Kingdom fit for a king on EARTH.

    It would appear that someone forgot to read the book of Joel where it says, ” And in the last days 1 it will be,’ God says, ‘that I will pour out my Spirit on all people, 2 and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams”. Joel 2:29
    (0.82) Act 2:18
    Even on my servants, 1 both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. 2

    It would appear that somene forgot to read the entire Bible because the book of Joel and Acts 2 has nothing to do with NIRSA. hmmm… unless you are part of Jeols army. Have you got your army gear ready when you march to Israel to take over? I would love to see what it looks like?

    I have lost my faith because the church disregards critical thinking and promotes blind faith. when i ask questions about the bible i’m told that i’m insane and the devil is deceiving me.

    You lost your faith over that? My word.
