Right now I wish it was the 1st of April because Ray McCauley is in serious financial debt and you can help him out, no really, you can help him out and send him your cash.

But we have decided that instead of sending him cash, cheques and electronic money transfers via the Internet we will recommend the following books that we believe will assist him greatly:

  • Ray McCauley:  Expect More: Living Your Vision
  • Morris Cerullo:  Financial Breakthrough Bible
  • Joel Osteen:  Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential
  • Joel Osteen:  Making Wise Choices – Your Decisions Determine Your Destiny
  • TD Jakes:   Reposition Yourself: Living Life Without Limits
  • Joyce Meyer:   Prepare to Prosper: Moving from the Land of Lack to the Land of Plenty
  • Joyce Meyer:  The Secret Power of Speaking God’s Word
  • John Bevere:   Honor’s Reward: How to Attract God’s Favor and Blessing
  • Kenneth Copeland:  Laws Of Prosperity – The Principles With Kenneth Copeland – September 20-22, 1984 – Live From The Church At Eagle Mountain – Forth Worth, Texas
  • Joseph Prince:  Destined to Reign: The Secret to Effortless Success, Wholeness and Victorious Living
  • Kenneth E. Hagin:  You Can Have What You Say!

Or, better yet, there is this thing called debt counselling where you learn to manage your money like an adult.  I also recommend you have a psychological assessment done as you display the classic signs of a white collar criminal who cunningly steals from people using the best of tactics: playing on people’s emotions with regards to health and finances.  You place people under spiritual bondage that if they don’t pay tithes God will not be pleased with them, and you do all of this using the name of Jesus Christ.

As for your son, well his only concern is that he won’t get any more pocket money if your life goes pear shaped…

‘Bail Rhema’s Ray out of debt’

Son’s plea to guests at high-living McCauley’s 60th birthday party

Oct 24, 2009 10:37 PM | By Karen Van Rooyen  © 2009 AVUSA, Inc.

His megachurch collects tithes and offerings of around R70-million a year and he lives the life of a millionaire, but Pastor Ray McCauley needs his flock to bail him out financially

His son, Joshua, 26, has gone cap in hand to about 100 close friends and family to help get his dad, the leader of the Rhema Bible Church, out of debt.

Joshua’s impassioned plea was attached to an invitation to McCauley’s surprise 60th birthday party at the Sandton Convention Centre on Thursday night in “Old Hollywood” style.

“I would love nothing more than to help my father settle his existing debt and see him go into his 60s debt-free,” he wrote.

“As his son, I have felt it in my heart and now humbly request that, should you be considering giving him a gift for his 60th, you consider participating with me in this endeavour.”

McCauley and his wife, Zelda, recently announced that they would be moving back to Johannesburg, after several years of flying from Durban – where they lived in a R6.5-million beachfront mansion – to lead services at the 40000-strong Randburg congregation.

Depending on how the offerings went this week, this year’s gift is likely to be more substantial than the R2030 pair of Prada sunglasses Joshua bought for his dad in 2007. At the time, he billed the church for “Ps Ray’s birthday gift”.

In his quest to help his dad, Joshua described how “from a young boy”, he watched his father “do his utmost to walk the talk”.  [DTW:  okie dokie then]

“You may be aware of the challenges my family has faced, but no matter what the circumstances, I saw my dad be true to the convictions of his faith,” his letter read.

“As his son, it is my greatest wish to honour him with a gift that I know will change his life forever.”  [DTW:   The god of money is known to do that.]

Joshua has refused to reveal how guests responded.  [DTW:  well one of them responded by spilling the beans, it would seem.]

“I don’t believe it’s anybody’s business. I only gave that letter to his close private friends and family. It probably went to about 100 people,” he said.  [DTW: ok, confusion reigns here in sanity land, if it’s no ones business then why are you asking others for money?]

“The reality is that I did it without his knowledge.”  [DTW: and that changes what?  Nothing.]

The charismatic pastor’s money woes come as a surprise, as he is believed to earn more than R100000 a month, and he and his wife have often hit the headlines over their penchant for the finer things in life.

A few years ago, Zelda arrived at a Sunday Times interview carrying a Fendi handbag, and McCauley rode up on his Harley-Davidson motorbike.

Zelda once told the Sunday Times that the secret to her cleavage was Victoria’s Secret, the exclusive underwear range.

“I particularly love French and Italian lace. It may be a bit pricey, but a girl has got to feel good about how she looks,” she said.

McCauley’s birthday was celebrated just days before the 30th anniversary conference of the Rhema Bible Church at the Dome, north of Johannesburg, this weekend.   [DTW:  See article here:  https://www.discerningtheworld.com/2009/10/20/ray-mccauley-and-joel-osteen-at-the-coca-cola-dome-oct-09]

Guests at the conference included pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen, from one of the fastest-growing churches in the US, pastor Joseph Prince from Singapore and two-time Grammy winner Israel Houghton and New Breed. According to the church website, Karen Zoid, Joe Niemand and Kabelo were also due to perform.  [DTW:  Karen Zoid?  No way!  People will do anything to get in on that massive Gospel money making bandwagon.]

Thursday night’s birthday party was only for the “rich and famous,” according to a disgruntled church member.

“Ordinary citizens and staff of the church were not invited. It’s an abomination what’s happening in that church,” he said. [DTW:  aah, it’s an abomination that the invitation was not extended to the entire world, but preaching lies and deception is ok.  You would think that would have been this disgruntled church members main concern.  No, he/she is upset that they were not invited.  Am I missing something here?  No I am not.]

McCauley has been under pressure over his lavish life-style. Last year he was criticised for spending R25000 on meals, including R365 bottles of Meerlust Merlot, in just over a month.

Zelda, who grew up in an orphanage, said in a magazine interview in 2004 that she set aside Wednesdays for personal pampering, including Botox treatments and massages.

“My appearance is important to me,” she said. “I believe God expects a wife to look good for her husband.”  [DTW: wonder what the first wife did when Botox didn’t exist on the market.]

She said she also shared a weakness with her husband – shopping. “In America, we love hunting for bargains in big shopping centres such as Saw Grass Mill. We love giving to others just as much.”

Oh my.. yes, I know about this man. I want to do an article soon. Because I am getting tons of email from different people about this man. We have to remain scriptural and expose his false teaching. If you want to help me, by all means, please. You can email all information to my email address located under Contact details.

We gotta pray for all of them, maybe just maybe there is a glimmer of hope somewhere and the Holy Spirit is still speaking to them.

    Thank you for your comment.

I have often had to speak to people who were abused by the money preaching pastors. Not only have I encountered believers who were rejected by the money preachers when facing demise but I have personally met people who were hurt by these pastors.
In my possession I have e-mails from people who had gotten hurt and even some who had been very closely associated with At Boshoff calling CRC in Bloemfontein, the synagogue of Satan.

In recent years there have been people who had left CRC in Bloemfontein and their testimonies were very positive towards the doctrine the Bible teaches, while extremely opposite to what doctrine was taught in CRC.

Just after I was saved I also attended CRC in Bloemfontein. In my ignorance, just the same as when I had been a Roman Catholic, I never thought that a person of the cloth would not know enough, alternatively specifically teach another doctrine regarding the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. The doctrine preached here is absolutely foreign to what the Bible teaches.

I mean, we trusted our priests and pastors. It is only when you go to the church for help when in need, that you find out the fruits of love and charity that they preach on daily and over and over does not exist. The Bible calls leaders like these Pharisees and hypocrites. They say but they themselves do not that which they preach.
According to one of the e-mails received this person’s office at the synagogue of Satan was known as the cry room where staff would come for support after being mishandled by leaders of this atrocity – and I call it an atrocity because this same e-mail states that on many occasions violence was threatened in his presence. (What love is this!)

How often have I heard from saved people after having gone to especially the “church” CRC for help only to be told that they do not have enough faith, hence them not receiving from God.
This type of doctrine is absolutely unbiblical. The book of James teaches: Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Notice verse 17- these people who send the needy away from their own congregation – by the way say, – that those in need have need because of a lack of faith – this is Devil’s doctrine!

James says if you send someone away not looking after their needs it is YOU that do not have faith.

This is why so many of these wonderful pastors preach a gospel free from works while the Bible says your works without faith is dead!
Jesus said if you are not for me you are against me – now teaching opposite to what the Scriptures teaches is obviously against the Lord Jesus – and we know that by a better name – the voice of the anti-Christ!!
Scriptures teaches us that if the body (The Church – consisting of living believers) hurts, then the whole body should suffer with the specific aching part of the body.
When the truth is told about these pastors, they are quick to threaten with believers with crimen injuria, and frighten them into submission – I thought only the Popes did that??!! Most of these believers do not resist these type of actions.

Yet James also writes: Jas 5:5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
Jas 5:6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

In fact pastors and leaders who threaten and scares weaker brethren into submission do not even say “go in peace” and give them nothing. They threaten and scare peace away from the flock making them worse that what James is warning about.
Unfortunately most Christians in these temples of doom have not discerned all the truth in the Council of God and do not know how to react when mutilated by these so called men of God. Once they discover the truth they do not depart slowly and fortunately the Lord has so much grace and patience that He does lead them, as He did me – out of that heretical life of abundance or known as “prosperity” taught by Rhema etc.

As with Dion, I am absolutely willing to take part in an open and public debate with the “main pastors” of CRC or Rhema regarding doctrinal issues, but they will never participate.

I will not be interested to conduct debates with just any of the “pastors” in CRC or Rhema , but the main pastors like At Boshoff etc.
I have had a senior pastor of CRC’s visit me, to persuade me to return to CRC and I promised to return if he would answer some questions I had concerning the doctrines they teach.

Well, as no surprise to me, he could not answer any of the only and limited three very basic doctrinal questions I posed to him and said that he would return with the “TOP BRASS” as he could not answer. It has now been 7 years and I am still waiting!!!!!!!!

Mmmmmmmm…………the Bible teaches that one should be ready in season and out of season to answer questions???????

The Bible also teaches: 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

A note to those who are still caught up in these “churches” I know that these pastors teach that doctrine is rubbish, but the Scriptures are very clear: 1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Hi there Deborah. Thanks for the invitation. I shall gladly take part in your article by letting you have what I’ve received from the many ex CRC members in Bloemfontein. I am very happy to note that brother Chris will also participate with us. I pray that many of God’s children will heed this call and make contact with Chris and I and you in order to plan our concerted effort by God’s grace to help thousands who are truly struggling to get out of the traps set by Satan’s den of thieves.., but sadly thus far they’re still stuck there because they do not know the real way out of the place! Chris my brother, make contact with those in your town and tell them all about Deborah’s upcoming article and that she needs honest material for it. God bless you too my brother!

Theresa…you have a very serious problem. No man who claims to be a man of God and tells blatant lies is a representative of God. You insult the integrity of God. Ray should publically repent and tell the truth and the truth will set him free.
Angus Buchan should do the same also as he wrote blatant lies in his book.
Sorry Christians telling lies all totally unacceptable and their utterances are flawed as God will never use liars. Satan is the liar and any spirit that lies is that of the anti christ. It is as simple as that.People who swallow proven lies have a serious problem and misunderstand integrity.

Great stuff. It’s about time something is said. I’ve read so many emails, the last being from a woman who has been there for many many years and finally her eyes have opened to what is really going on around her. She was a ‘new Christian’ and was taught everything she knows by CRC – not by the Bible. Now the Holy Spirit has lifted this evil veil from her because of her true love for Jesus Christ and she is horrified at what she has been taught, how she was treated and how much money she has given to CRC.

  6. Chris says:

Hi Deborah you may contact Jo in Pretoria he has my contact details please get hold of me so I may fax you some documents.

    God keep you safe

  7. Chris

Ahh ok. Cool. I will do that. Just gimme a bit of time I got a new laptop (my other one died) and I am desperately trying to get things organised again.

You don’t think this is not nasty? “It’s just HOW you reply to some comments that you feel are not in line with what you believe that makes me pick up a bit of self righteousness and arrogance. These are sins of self elevation, the opposite of humility.”

  9. blank Dion says:

Hi there Deborah. I sent an invitation e-mail to At Boshoff to appear as guest to discuss doctrine (any part of the doctrine he stands for). Do you have an e-mail address I can forward this to? Perhaps you can tell Jo – I could forward to him?
    regards
    Dion

  10. Dion

Mine is discerningtheworld@gmail.com Is that what you wanted? Has he accepted?

  11. blank Dion says:

    Hi Deborah,
Have not heard a word from him as yet, but I wanted you to have record of my invitation. I’m not sure if he will ever accept such an invitation but I remain hopeful that if he is not up to the task, perhaps he would send some of his fellow pastors to attend.I have numerous e-mails from ex members of his congregation all wishing to attend the discussions when it takes place. In fact I’m already thinking along the lines of arranging an international conference hosted here in SA on the subject of Biblical doctrine and hopefully I’ll be able to convince some of the so-called international/TV preachers to attend and participate by providing attendees with Biblical foundations of their prosperity doctrine, their Kingdom-now doctrine, their Transformation doctrine, their denial of the deity of Christ, their doctrine suggesting that the church is the new Israel, their ideas for making the preaching of God’s word more “friendly and acceptable” to the masses as opposed to getting people into church so that they could hear of the consequences of remaining in a sinful state, and all such issues

Eish…. good luck! Keep me posted.

I just stumbled across your site today. It is almost five years since the last comments were made here. Thank you for being bold enough to expose the scams of the latter day ‘profits’ (pun intended.) I am curious to know if things have changed in the ‘prosperity cults’ and those who lead their followers by the nose in this manner. I bit of feedback on the At Bothas of this world – would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much.

  15. Hi Jane

    >> I bit of feedback on the At Bothas of this world

Do you mean At Boshoff? If it is At Boshoff then check this out At Boshoff from CRC Church shows us how Pharisees went about “Honoring” God

I thank God for Pastor Lindie McCauley here in the States! It’s with great sadness we read of many Christian leaders in the Body of Christ that have built mansions to live in with their extravagant lifestyles, while people are hurting struggling to survive, while orphans and widows starve and the lost and dying world doesn’t know Jesus!!
